Positivity Friday | Bumpie Love Shout Outs

Okay guys, some of us had some sucky weeks. And too many of us are headed in that direction.

The idea for this chain is simple: spread the love.

Think of a Bumpie that has done something nice for you, the board, or might need some extra love right now and tell them how awesome you think they are.



I want this thread to become a huge comment chain of positivity to show appreciation for our rock stars and support for those going through a rough patch. Can we do it? I think so

Another shout out to @kbamomma33 and @KristoKekerooni who I had some ethical/philosophical discussions with this week. It's always nice to get to know your fellow bumpies a bit better and learn from each other in the process

Shout out to @antoto who is an IF warrior and so welcoming to anyone who joins that thread or wants to learn about IF. You are definitely one of the backbones of this board and many of us owe a lot to you.

Next shout out would require too many tags - but literally every single lady in the IF thread, I'm looking at you.  That thread is just... special in the most amazing way.  The way we all feel we can be totally brutally honest and open, the way we all fiercely support each other, the way we share knowledge, ask for help, connect on a level that almost never happens IRL. Sending all of you lots of hugs.

Can we have this thread be a weekly Friday thing?  It just makes me so happy.

I love this thread @LoveInDC! I agree with @antoto we should make this a regular thing. In part selfishly because I want to make a shout out to TONS of people, but if I know this thread will come back weekly I can "save" my other shout outs for later threads instead of tagging 90 people at once (not that there's anything wrong with that). 

So with that in mind I'd like to give my first shout out to @Aurora1973 a wonderful IF warrior who has a similar situation with her sister and just got the run around again from her RE. Ladies of the daily threads may not know her, but she is so supportive and strong and has moved through so many obstacles with grace and I want to channel all the positivity I can in her direction.

But what I think makes this thread so special is that it's just an out pouring of love. So @vflux33 tag away who has touched your heart lately. The other lady who I've shared so many similar struggles with, and who amazes me with her attitude and love on the regular is @laurad75.  I also have to give a shout out to @wabash15, who sent me the loveliest DM and has been such a consistent support and cheerleader.  So stoked for your graduate status!

Everyone here is so wonderful, but also a general thank you and kisses to the entire IF thread.  You guys are keeping me (somewhat) sane.

@LoveInDC Shout out to you for sharing your DH's job story and giving me some serious advice. I did end up applying and interviewing, but I did not get the job. Thank you for the push though!

Also to @Sailing_Mama, @LoveInDC, @Avrilmai, @lulu1180, and @50Wife for always being so supportive and a joy to interact with. I haven't shared the fact that we are TTC with anyone IRL so being able to stop in here daily and talk to/vent with you all, with no fears or judgment, has been so helpful. I have lurked in a few different types on online communities through the years, but never have I seen one with such comradery and understanding. It is so special. And @dragonette505 --I also enjoyed the times I interacted with you as well. You were always so kind and supportive. I hope you are doing well. Thinking of you back here 

Also @antoto -- I want to thank you for for starting the NIAW thread. It was incredibly eye opening for me. I took so much away from reading all the stories in the thread. Thank you for starting that conversation.

Right from the beginning, you stepped up to explain what potential options might be, which made me that much more prepared when we got to meet with the medical specialists. You are always on it with a comment and you have the best gifs. (Darn mobile issues preventing your epic gifs!)

@antoto Thank you for starting the National Infertility Awareness Week thread. It was so powerful to read everyone's story and to know that I'm not alone in this journey.

@SoldiersMom @Avrilmai you guuuuyyssssss. I have to say I literally didn't expect my name to pop up at all here. But honestly...thank YOU for all of your support. It does mean so much when I come here to vent (some days while crying IRL) and there is nothing but support. So much fucking support it's amazing. 

A few other ladies that I feel like I've chatted more with lately that have been nothing short of awesome: @Sailing_Mama @starla @lulu1180 @LoveInDC just the honestly and support and having each others backs...you guys rock 

Oh and @BusinessWife from day 1 I've kinda mentally viewed you as the board momma (just from seeing your picture picture popping up from giving everyone lovin'). You're supporting everyone and I feel like you check into most threads and follow everyone as much as possible. I will say that I'm sure it's appreciated by everyone way more than you think. 

I'm finishing up lunch and feel horrible bc I know there are so many more ladies on here that have just been incredible but I'm just being a dick and listing a handful. Honestly everyone on this board is just awesome. I kind of m don't want to hit post bc I want to add so many more names

This is amazing.  I haven't been super active the past couple of weeks for no good reason except to take a mental break but it doesn't change how important this community is to me. 

My shout out is to all the IF ladies who have seen so many TTCers come and go and we keep trying and supporting each other with every test, treatment, heartbreak and victory (no matter how small).  An extra special shout out to the AMA group.

I would like to give a couple of group love shout outs first, in lieu of tagging a ton of people and accidentally leaving someone out...

To basically every single person who posts on this board- I am so blown away by the care that all of you put into your posts and replies, as well as the tact and maturity that go into even the tough conversations. I love all of the support and knowledge that gets passed around here. It's encouraging to lurk and see so much kindness, humor, and positivity, even though most of us are struggling in one way or another. I feel privileged to hang with such a cool group of ladies.

TBT, it isn't always easy for me to do TTGP at this point in my journey...  we have been, "doing this," (or <i>NOT</i> "doing this," as the case may be), for a long enough time that it's not exactly fun anymore.  It definitely has taken over our entire married lives up to this point.  It's also sort of a sore subject in our house whenever DH sees me, "playing on my phone," even if I'm not actually bumping...

But rest assured, <b>my heart is with all of you!!!</b> And I want all good things and all the BFPs, and all the SS sparkley unicorn glitter BFPs for everyone here!

Lady, I dunno when you started TTGP, but in my mind you have just always been there.  For real, shoulder to shoulder we've been doing this %$#@&^☆ thing!  I've seen you keep bouncing back, cycle after cycle, looking for things you could do and try to improve your chances.  You completely changed your diet, lost a tonne of weight, STARTED OVULATING ON YOUR OWN Whaaaa???? Dang this is one heck of an awesome thread. I don't ever see notifications on mobile, but I hopped on from my desktop and what a nice way to see some mentions

Even on a break, I still lurk this board because this community does mean so SO much to me and I don't want to miss any big announcements or updates. You ladies are the real deal and it does blow me away that I can feel more connected to women I've never met than my closest friends when it comes to discussing TTGP, IF and all the pains that come along with it.

Shout out to @wabash15 who (I mentioned in her grad post thread but I'll say it again) has been a huge support in lifting me up during some dark, dark IF days. I am so flippin thrilled that you've graduated and can't wait to follow your pregnancy!

Sending love to @KristoKekerooni who is also on a break with me and who has been a great gal to talk prayer, faith and all the mixed bag of emotions that IF brings into the picture when it comes to believing in God. I'm so glad we are now connected outside of TB too so we can keep chatting even on a break!

I have to echo @antoto that the IF thread itself needs a special kind of shout out...all of you ladies are warriors; beautiful, courageous, unrelenting warriors. You have each impacted my life for the better and all of you make the journey I'm on more bearable, knowing I'm not alone and that we have each other to lift up and encourage. I wish to God from the bottom of my heart that none of us had to be in that thread, but I am so glad to have all of you as IF sisters and feel honored to fight this ugly beast alongside with you. I love watching each of your journeys unfold as I cry along with you for disappointments and rejoice along with you for victories. Oh gosh..

I know I’m forgetting a million people but I really just want to say thank you to every member of this board past and present since I’ve joined.  You have all helped lift me up when I really needed it and put me in my place when I got over the top.  I root hard for every single woman on this board each and every day and hope we all get our BFPs soon!
