@jackiesmom324 I know the statistics, and I know that it's very early for me to get excited-- I'm not even 5 weeks yet. I've decided I'm going to be excited anyway. If I do experience a loss, I don't think it would hurt any less, just because I worried that it would happen. Today, you have every reason to feel joy. If you want to feel it, I think you get to feel it!
I'm happy to see familiar faces here, and I'm so grateful for the support you guys have given me!
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs. 2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs. Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire. Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus! fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
@KLake42 I love that outlook too! I am 9.5 weeks and still have trouble feeling excited because I get so worried about every little ache, pain, or odd symptom. I keep thinking, "After the next ultrasound I will start to relax..." but it seems like there is always something new that I am worried about. I think I need to be reprogrammed with your perspective instead! Thanks for sharing that!
