August 2017 Moms

22 weeks no amniotic fluid.

My doctor said I have no fluid. My baby is 1pound 1oz, and he's very active.

  • I don't mean to be insensitive to your situation, but did you have a question?

I was wondering if anyone has experienced having low amniotic fluids
I have not. That must be scary. What did your OB say the options are?

I looked up some info out of curiosity and a lot of women who are/have been where you are say they found a lot of support on facebook support groups geared toward "pprom". Maybe check there?

  • So if you're pprom you should be hospitalized in case of an infection.   I would call your ob and ask what next steps are.

^ yea that's true. But even if her fluid is low from some reason other than a rupture I'm sure she can find women on those groups who can give her better advice then we can.
Other than the "pprom" support groups you can try searching oligohydramnios and see if you can find support that way.

I haven't but I just had a patient with low fluid levels. We had her increase oral fluids and rest as much as possible. She got NSTs and BPPs. Increasing oral fluids does help. Drink water like it's your job.
