@EmilyLove25 I'm so so sorry for the insensitive texts from your friend. OP just don't get how hard it can be on you emotionally when you're TTC. @Augusta108 Ugh I'm sorry about your friend. My best friend and I started TTC around the same time, which made it wonderful because I had someone in RL to talk to for awhile. I still talk to her now (she got KU'd in Nov) but it is never quite the same. She never really had to try to get pg. @5099peperk Sorry about work. I've had similar issues in the past, where I've documented how something works, and still get questioned about it...
@kaitlink33 We`ve only had them six months so I was really unsure about letting them out in the winter because it was super cold and a few of them got frost bite on their combs but now that its nice they`ll be free to roam more.
Gosh, everyone here is the best. Holy heck does it help to have women who understand! Thank you all for being so lovely. Bye bye CD1, you won't be missed, though hilariously I have no cramps, bloating or anything. That's fun at least.
SoraLk I totally feel you on CD1.
Hard as heck to avoid caffeine!
RVAmom315 Thank you J Hilariously, I am happy for her… if she’d stop texting me about how much she doesn’t
want to be pregnant/doesn’t want a third kid, lol! Let us be happy for a new
baby!
Sailing_Mama Your advice is EXACTLY what I needed!
Just need a day or two of distance from the constant texts!
JJMNO1616 Totally
true. I did send supportive, positive messages! Just would like less pictures
of various BFPs, please! And I definitely can be that support for her down the
road… just not on unexpected CD1, ugh! Thank you for giving me perspective!
wabash15 I
am BF! I was wondering (hoping?) that had something to do with it… hoping it
regulates. Thank you really for saying that as it gives me some reasoning. Only
my third cycle though DD is 18 months.
@EmilyLove25 oh yah, if this is only your 3rd cycle back that's most likely what it is! My LP while BF was 10-12days but closer to 10. (historically I was a spot on 14days) Once I got very close to weaning and finally weaned my LP has been 12-13days. It may take several more cycles before your LP begins to lengthen and for some women it may not go back to "normal" until weaning. the website kellymom is a great website for information on BF and cycling/fertility related effects of BF.

EmilyLove25 and to any others I have missed who have had issues with friends inadvertently making the process more stressful on you. That is really tough on you and on the friendship. TTC is one of those topics people don't really broach much and I think that makes people really clumsy in dealing with hardships of others TTC.
Month/Cycle: This is month one of TTC. I had my Mirena out last week and was told I would resume cycle right away (and did seem to get period right away, but it could have just been bleeding). Now having done some research on experience of others am managing my expectations about O this month.
GTKY: What are your three best attributes? (does not have to be physical) My hair, my skin and my laugh, which is a very big chuckle that my grandmother gets a kick out of.
@EmilyLove25, I'm so sorry to see you back in WTO after your timing heroics! And sorry that your friend has been being so insensitive. It is amazing how otherwise lovely people can get such tunnel vision once they're in crisis mode and start being completely oblivious to everyone else's feelings.
@starla!, I'm glad your kitty's surgery went well! I'm taking my cat for a wellness exam tonight and I always get a bit anxious they'll find something wrong. He's almost 15 and in pretty good health considering, but still. It's hard not to worry about our furry family members!
@JJMNO1616, your success is what made me want to try the Red Raspberry Leaf tea! 11 days was better than I have been doing on the luteal phase front but I'd rest easier if it were a little longer than that.
@LaurenEG14, I definitely think starting to use the OPKs earlier than you think you really need to is the way to go. Less chance of O catching you by surprise!
@Stargazer1lily, I will join the "You have chickens???" club! That's really cool!
@RVAmom315, I can relate to the anxiety about "freezing". DH had an incident like that the cycle before last and now I get super worried about it happening again. (But of course have to hide the anxiety from him.) It was part of why we didn't get great timing last cycle, I didn't want to start too early lest it tire him out and then O happened several days before I had expected it to. Ugh.
@BreezyBee, I am in awe of your mobile bumping skills! Also, yes, my friend makes the same comment about how I can be the "guinea pig" and figure everything out so she'll know exactly what to do when she starts TTC. I've been telling her I'll send her a TTC care package with all the essentials!
@5099peperk, glad you got a chocolate croissant to offset the work stress! I spent a long time writing a training manual for a coworker a few months ago that I'm pretty sure from the questions I'm still getting was never read, so I can relate a bit!
@darkrose88, that would be really hard. I'll admit that even though I was really excited my best friend was about to start TTCing, I was also a little nervous about what my emotions would be if she got KU quickly and I was still trying. Not that I wouldn't be really genuinely happy for her, but, well, I'm only human...
@LaurenEG14 I always start my opks too early. The earliest I've ever O'd was cd 22 but I start at cd 12 because I'm convinced I'm gonna O at a normal time like cd 14 & miss it!!
@Sailing_Mama thanks! I only tracked once but I seemed to have a day of high, then medium, then high, then medium, then high. The middle high was the day FF said I O'd. I cannot tell when it's open though
@dilynne sorry about your alarm! I used to love the Chicken Soup books!
@EmilyLove25 I'm so sorry about cd 1. And I understand--my bff & I started to TTC a few months apart hoping we'd get KU at the same time. It took her 3 months and she's due on the 17th. It's very hard to listen to everything about the baby and not be upset
@BreezyBee Sounds like a nice morning. I'd love to go back to bed! I laughed about your boobs being one of your best features. @EmilyLove25 That's pretty inconsiderate of your friend. I agree with PPs that space and telling her how you feel is the best course of action. Sorry you have to deal with that. @SoraLk Sorry for CD1. Hugs! @5099peperk I don't think I've seen you here before so hi and welcome! ETA: I LOOOVE chocolate croissants!
Kitty is out of surgery and recovering at home. She's being extra snuggly now that she's home.

Hi! I am new to this board but intro'd myself on the infertility one last week. Joining the community here after lurking for a few weeks and being encouraged.
Month/Cycle: 18/18
CD: 10
WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPK, hio more often, trying the whole pineapple because some months you just need to feel like you are doing more
R/R: had a good night out with some colleagues, I work way too much, so it was a nice breather as we head into our week of ttc
CS/Q: none
GTKY: What are your three best attributes? (does not have to be physical) passionate, accountable, intelligent
@BertieMeetsGertieb dancing penis made me laugh! Yay for humor in this process!
To all the other ladies, thank you for being real, will try to get more tags in as I get to know you!
@RamzLau1 Welcome to the board! I'm sure you've already read the posts pinned at the top of the board, but if not, I would definitely suggest doing so! Also, I would suggest you intro on the weekly thread here so that we can all get to know you a little better. Finally, if you are doing any IF treatments, we have a weekly IF thread that has some amazingly supportive and knowledgeable ladies on it! I hope you find the support you are looking for here and that your stay here is shot!
