I'm obviously here, for a little bit anyway. I have my monthly book club at 1, and I'm co-leading it this month, so I'm skimming over the book this morning. I read it last year, but I want to re0familiarize myself before I make a fool of myself in front of everyone later, haha!
@Msashley2010 I really can't say I blame you! DH is cleaning the kitchen right now, but I'm not helming under the guise of "I need tread this book." That probably makes me a bad wife, but oh well!
@mrs_tacos Lol! It's okay to sit a cleaning spree out now and again. After all your body is hard at work growing a little human. You deserve the relaxation time!
Hi I should be unpacking but instead I am lying around pretending the "room of shame" with all our unpacked moving boxes doesn't exist. DH wants to go see Power Rangers this afternoon and I want movie theater popcorn so that's looking like the plan.
Just sitting around right now, catching up on This Is Us... sometime today we have to go get my rings inspected/cleaned, about an hour away. Hoping to maybe do some baby shopping (or at least looking) while in the big(ish) city.
@Msashley2010 I'm still reading it, because I got distracted by something else. (<< this will have to do since there's not embarrassed emoji.) My ADD brain will come back around to it soon, though, because I had a dream about it last night! I think that's what I'll probably do when I get home from book club this afternoon. And then imma message you, so we can geek out about it together.
@HollyGolightly09 If you get anything cute, you have to share pics! I got this layette set for our baby boy the other Day from Old Navy, 40% off! It has a matching hat and booties not pictured.
@mrs_tacos I do that literally all the time. I will start a book or series and stop because something else caught my attention only to go back to it later lol. Book clubs sound like so much fun! how often do you guys meet?
Today is usually my cleaning day, but I cleaned yesterday morning. We are removing the carpet in some areas of the house, and having some drywall redone in others. A contractor was supposed to come to do an estimate, but never showed and never called. So I cleaned in anticipation of them coming....oh well, one less thing to do today.
As for today I am lounging around, and actually am in the middle of taking a break from organizing baby girls clothes. I have a ton of NB-3 months stuff. Things I've either purchased randomly or things given to me. I have a few bags full, so I'm going through them and going to wash them all so it's one less thing I'll have to do later!
Checking in on my lunch break. I've been taking a Ham radio lisence class this weekend. My test is at 2, and I'm super nervous.

We already did our meal plan and went grocery shopping. Next up is a nap for everyone then I have to get some editing done after. DH is making his homemade chicken wings for dinner.
Just finished watching a movie on TV, and now I'm about to try to eat lunch. After 3 really good days with very little nausea, I woke up this morning dizzy and super nauseated. So I've been lying on the couch all morning.
Here! Cuddling with my little and the pup while my mom fixes me a fried egg sandwich. I wish we could get her to move in but I should really just be grateful my dad is okay with her coming as much as she does. I should go for a run today with the cooler weather. But zero motivation. And we need to get to Costco today to buy some more drapes while they still have some. They just got thermal blackout drapes in and it's two panels for $20. Can't really beat that.
Cats*in*space a genetics class?! What are you working towards? My genetics course was taught by an unlikeable hardass, so I didn't enjoy it that much. By contrast, my microbial genetics course was taught by a hardass, but one of those that if you could make it to his good side, he treated you like a favorite grandchild. I enjoyed that one much more.
I did some dishes this morning, and I need to do two loads of laundry. Mostly I have been creating potential nursery prints. I will need to find mats/frames, but I've got seven so far that I'm fairly happy with.

We had a busy (seeming) day yesterday... assembled an IKEA dresser and a crib (!!) (also, I know, way too early), and finished putting up peel and stick wallpaper on one wall of the nursery. So today I am loafing, half-assedly doing laundry, and cuddling the dogs. Have to leave to go to church later and am not looking forward to leaving the house.
Cleaning and packing were the plans today. But I've been up all night with ridiculous pain in my ribs. So right now I'm hoping for a nap and am currently laying on the couch.
My sister was in town so we went out to the beach and had lunch. Now DS is napping (2 hrs later than normal!) and she left so I'm hanging out outside with my dog. Trying to get a little sun on my very pasty legs.
We went to church then snuggled on the couch caught up on some DVRd shows and then watched the live action Jungle Book. Now DH has NASCAR on before he heads off to work for a few hours.
My stepson visited his mom for spring break. She lives about 6 hours away so we're on our way to meet her in the middle for the switch back. My husband doesn't really want me going anymore just cause of the long car ride and sitting, but I want to try to go at least through when we bring him for his summer break.
I'm here Went grocery shopping without my toddler (YES!), made a big brunch, cleaned up the house, now watching Teen Mom and binging on popcorn. Family movie night (The Lion King) tonight!
So it might not be smart to let the pregnant lady go to Walmart by herself. My mental compromise for not picking up Culver's on the way home was to buy chocolate milk and Easter candy.
I'm in and lurking. Took my little to see the Lego Batman movie finally. And did some grocery shopping. I should be cleaning out the spare room to start organizing what we do have for baby but that seems like too much work today.
@jena333 it's quantitative Genetics and it's hard . I'm working towards an M.S. in Plant Breeding and Genetics. It's been terrible working full time, taking this class, being in my first trimester, AND attempting to function like a human being. *One more month, one more month*
I managed to run to Trader Joe's and Wegmans which is pretty much as productive as I'm going to get today. I've had a headache since I woke up and mostly have been binge watching The Sopranos for the billionth time with DH.

I LOVE Trader Joe's. When I was in California I had one right up the road. Now that I am back in florida the closest Trader Joe's is more than an hour away!!
Listening to my kids chant "Harold mandelfart" from the bathtub for no apparent reason. Bedtime cannot come fast enough. Husband is working all night and I'm going to bed early.
