We have a nice piece of property so although I've never really gardened before I was just going to jump in and go big or go home! LOL But, we really don't have the money for all the raised beds right now and LO is due in July sooo... We're just gonna do a small one and see how it goes. Starting seeds inside this weekend. We just got our last snowfall a week ago so nothing is safe outside despite the warm weather.
@MrsZeno I didn't plant them, but they've been very low maintenance since we moved in! I will say that they tend to droop a bit and get gunk on their leaves, but neither bothered me enough to do anything special. I trim them almost to the ground at the end of the season, and like clockwork they pop back up. Definitely hearty! And they remind me of my grandma, who always had them
@ljd2010... That's good to know. I may go ahead and try to plant some this year. They are such a happy flower. Makes them even better when they have a special meaning. Thanks!
