That's what we have! Haha it's really fun but it does take a long time to learn.
Are you sure it's the same? There is a different version (first edition) called Game of Thrones: The Card Game (card v. board). I heard both are good, but the board game is the card game on steroids. It's intense. If it's the card game, report back! I've only played the board game version
I just got back from the book store. Been threatening to buy books for a couple weeks. Bought a book called Trafficking and another called get your shit together - a guide about not giving a fuck.
We also just got our quote for our business expansion - I'm drinking rum - it's that good.

I'm sitting here watching the Duke/UNC basketball game. I don't understand how free throw rates for basketball players aren't higher. The average college player makes it 69% and the average NBA player hits it 75%. I get that no one is perfect, but shouldn't those rates be higher? It's not like there are things like defenders or wind to impact the shot.

@Tennis11785 yes! It's a free throw, it's basically free points. I'll never understand how the rates are so low. It's seems like such a practicable skill too. Our HS girl's coach was dictatorial about practicing free throws and our school a) had a super high free throw percentage and b) almost always won state (so it's not like practicing that skill hurt them at all)

@Tennis11785 I wish I could elaborate on your comment but man I'm just not a sports fan unless it's equestrian.....
@darkrose88 Silly me.... I feel like this book is going to be a life changer. I need to learn how to say f it and be rid of all this negativity. Chances are I won't make it past page 20. Lol

@cdnrunning I always wished I would have taken my riding further and had made it somewhere in the equestrian world. Turns out my life as a horses owner is Cuba, Jamaica, Bahamas, and Dominican waiting on me to feed them. Oh how I would love a vacation.

@FLAshley I wished the same. It was such an expensive sport and my mom paid for private lessons for the longest time. We even looked to buy a horse at one point....but it just wasn't in the cards. Now I have three dogs....and they jump furniture, does that count?
@hartmich Sorry for the P&G! We have company. Just wanted to jumped back and say I didn't know they did a second edition of the card game! Definitely tell me how it is We are a HUGE board game house and totally would love to add another good one to add to the collection!
@gameofsucculents - I love board and card games! Some of my favorites include Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan (with and without expansion packs), Takenoko, Dixit, Love Letter, Guillotine, Blokus, Bang, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and Citadels. There are so many good ones out there!

Somehow woke up with yet another sore throat/cold situation. At least it's not the flu this time.
I'm being impossibly lazy and just placed an order on Fresh Direct in lieu of actually going grocery shopping this weekend. I hate myself for doing it, but I know I'll feel so good about not leaving the house today.

@morado23 Yes! I love so many of those games. Dixit and Ticket to Ride are two of my favorites! I also love Pandemic and Arkham Horror (that one's super nerdy). And Munchkin, of course, becasue it's a classic. King of Tokyo, Small World and Coup are also good. I've never heard of Love Letter or Guillotine, so I'll have to put them on my list!
Does anyone play skipbo or crazy 8s anymore ??? I love those games !!!
I swear some of the best money we spent lately was on a dartboard and a few darts !!!
Yes! I forgot about skipbo, but I play phase 10 and Uno all the time, and our neighbors taught us Spades so we play with them while we drink wine and get wasted.

@Cricket648 I love pandemic! It is such a fun game. We also have an expansion pack for it.
We've got ticket to ride, monopoly, battleship, trouble and love letter. DH and I decided for our second date ever to get childhood favorite games to play - I got battleship and DH got trouble.
PMS hit me so hard today. I've cried so much/so hard over everything imaginable. Plus some middle-aged man with his prepubescent son yelled out his baby poop colored Hummer, "I have the right of way, you ugly bitch!" when I was crossing the street in a parking lot. As a pedestrian. Which would mean I have the right of way.
I'm ready to go to bed. @jsnakehole If you figure out how to do that, let me know. That sounds pretty amazing.
