IUI w/Clomid after Miscarriage

Hi ladies,

My DH (dear husband) and I were TTC (trying to conceive) for 6 months with no luck. We have male infertility issues. We had our first IUI (intrauterine insemination) with a trigger shot in December 2016 and had a BFP. Unfortunately I m/c'd at 8 weeks.

So now we are about to have our second IUI, this time with 100mg of clomid cd 3-7, then the trigger shot.

3/10/17, CD 12 - I went in today for my follicle development US. We can't seem to find my right ovary in any scan but in my left ovary, I had two more prominent follicles, a 12 mm and 14 mm and my lining was about 5. I go back in on 3/14 (CD 16) to see if they are big enough to trigger.

For others that have used clomid, I'd love to know how many dominant follies you had, the sizes, respective CDs and pregnancy test results!

Hi.

1. Could you add a trigger warning to your post? It's helpful for some when you're discussing loss to add a TW.
2. You may have better luck either in the IF thread or on the Infertility board. A lot of women on this board aren't using treatments yet (but some are).

OP I second everything that @hartmich said. As for your question no one's answer is going to help you. Everyone responds differently (different bodies and different diagnosis) as well as you may respond differently to the same dose every cycle. Some cycles you get one follie others you might get 5 thats why they monitor because you never know what your going to get. Also some women have follies that grow great and are ready to trigger at that follie check but its not uncommon to have to come back once or twice to ensure your follies are growing well.

QFP

I had two IUIs using Clomid. For the first, on CD12 I had one dominant follicle, 18mm, and triggered that night. For the second, on CD12, I had two follicles, one 24mm and one 27mm, and triggered that night. Neither got me pregnant.

All the stories in the world will not help you know what is going to happen with you. Everyone is different and has a different outcome. Every person in this community could come here and say they had a 20mm follicle and got a BFP, but you could still end up with a negative test. I understand wanting to be assured by hearing other people's experiences, but you have to bear in mind that those experiences mean absolutely nothing.

Welcome, OP. This community is a great place to "meet" others going through similar ttc-related things, as well as at many other stages of their journies. We hope you will read the newbie guide, lurk, intro on the weekly newbie thread (i.e. tell us a little more about yourself so we can get to know you) and jump into the daily tww/wto and other fun gtky threads.

But before you do all that....
PLEASE GO TO THEKNOT.COM and update your username to something more unique, (and not overly personal/identifiable), so people can tag you, have a conversation etc. and again, get to know you better as a person.

The random knottieblahblahblah usernames are difficult to tag, and difficult to distinguish from one another. So it feels a little like a total rando walking in with a clipboard, taking a survey for a school report or something. Lol. We are more than that, and I suspect you are, too.

I have never taken Clomid, so no personal experience to share on that. Except that I <i>do</i> have a LOT of personal experience on the bump. And you will get a lot more out of it if you actually take the time to get to know the ladies here. ;) *typos

I did update my name but it's now showing yet on the boards. Thanks! Yeah, it's ugly for sure. I have started reading my heart out trying to make sure I don't break any rules. I feel really bad about this post so I am trying to do my homework to get my courage up to comment on other posts.
