Growing up, people always assumed my dad was my brother. (I'm in the bike seat, my sister is on his back, cousins in the front). This picture is from almost 30 years ago, and he doesn't look much older today.
So I did happen to find this tagged to me on Facebook. I was on our news team my junior year which was surprisingly fun lol (sorry if it looks weird but I felt the need to crop out the other girls for privacy reasons!)
Sooo I don't have any of my school pix with me they are all in Virginia, I might have a year book or 2 at home but here's a goodie from my facebook...helping my daddy clean a hunting rifle mid kitchen renovation at our first house.
@cmar1006 haha oh yeah! VB Represent! haha Rosemont Forest Elementary, Salem Middle, and then i went to Bayside High for their health science academy (aaand I work in business)
@cmar1006 gang run! lol i would have gone to Green Run if we didn't move to the Salem area when I was in 1st grade, we were in a neighborhood Holland & Windsor Oaks - or off S. Plaza depending on which way you came from lol.
@lahearn18 DH graduated in '97 so it wasn't as bad as it is these days. I grew up right off Kempsville & Princess Anne, where they are doing all that crazy construction. So we were super close. Can't wait to go back to visit. We are going to a Williamsburg and VB in April. So excited.
@cmar1006 I graduated in...2008 lol. I grew up off Lynnhaven pkwy - between salem and indian river
I usually go home in the fall...but uhh a baby is coming then, so we probably wont be heading to VB this year unless we get orders back to VB then we'll be moving there this coming winter

Alright, I pulled out the yearbooks I have at home... unfortunately my k-6 ones are at my parents house. I know my 6th grade picture was by far my worst one...
Top to bottom, left to right: 7th grade, apparently life was very tragic; 8th grade, at least I smiled... and grew out my bangs; Not sure what this is, I'm guessing (hoping) something to do with homecoming judging from my hair. Let's hope it wasn't just a random Tuesday; senior prom, I have no idea why I was making that face (perhaps it's my dancing face?) Or why I thought wearing a guys ball cap during prom was a good idea... especially an Auburn hat. Probably thought the guy was cute.
Okay here as promised are my photos. From left to right, top to bottom, 1st one is when I was about 9 or 10 at church. Ugh, can you belive I actually picked out those glasses? 2nd is when I was 15. It's my most school-like photo. I was homeschooled all 12 years and when I started high school I realize I'd never gotten a professional photographer, so I got this one done. Oh those side bangs... 3rd is from my homeschool prom when I was a junior. No glasses, no braces, yay! 4th and 5th are from my senior pictures when I finally started getting my act together. *POOF* And also I had to sneak in my doppelganger dad photo. *POOF*
Haha I had to toss a pic in here to show that once, I was adorable.. then it just went downhill!! Mid high school I started to turn around again but jeez.. wtf was up with my hair? These are bad.
@satuttle1014 Aww yall grew up together? That is super cool!
Yes, we met in 1st grade having the same teacher, had holy communion together/Sunday school, rode the same bus in elementary school, lived a few streets away from each other, our soccer games were right after each other lol we went to different high schools. We knew each other and knew the same people but we didn't really hang out like outside of school or such. So I didn't really talk to him since middle school then we both went to college in FL (different schools) and my senior year of college we started talking again and then we became best friends and we decided to meet up again in 2012 before he moved back to VA and then we started dating later that year and I when I graduated grad school in 2013 I moved back to VA. Funny how we met when we were younger and didn't really notice each other even though I had a crush on him in elementary school lol and then we decided to give it a shot and it worked. Ha sorry for my life story but makes more sense when I write it out.
Surely no embarassing childhood photo thread is complete without a 90s power suit and a laser background. Followed by 15 year old me in 4 inches of jelly bracelets and a Pokémon shirt.
My brother was looking through my year book the other day, a friend and I thought it would be fun to wear fake mustaches and ugly sweaters for picture day
Re: GTKY: Embarrassing school/childhood photos
Also, I had dreadlocks in high school...
