I don't @dragonfaerie, but spoke to my bonusdad (think that sounds better than stephdad, so I keep the Norwegian version) and he told me to check my blood. Might be low on iron as I did lost lots of blood and had a blood transfusion. But thought as that was in November I should be fine now Ill try to get an appointment tomorrow.
Eli kinda sleeps like Pia did only she was an hour later (11 til 3 and then til 6 and then til 08:30) She then decided to skip the 11 feeding, so I got recommended to feed her at 11, so she skip the 3 o'clock one. I have her ready for the night at 7 or 8. Feed her at 11 and she has now moved the 3 o'clock til 4:30 or later. So she wakes me just once. But 4:30 will be very inconvenient for you I guess if you need to leave at 5:50. This feeding/sleeping/routine is hard as it is, can't imagine working too!
I love having Pia with me, co-sleeping, but not on a regular basis either @dragonfaerie. It'll cost both our sleep if I do so.
Transitioning is indeed hard. I've been told it is harder if the mummy does it when they are fussy. To send the DH in unless its food they want. Dont know if it's true, as I haven't been able to try that theory
Riley is totally using me to comfort nurse this afternoon. I think he's picking up on my sadness cuz my mom is leaving tomorrow so I've been weepy all day.

@ultratomato Cason doesn't really care to sleep on his back either. He sleeps in his boppy, in his crib. He has since I brought him home. (I must break rules bc I'm a STM lol) There are also wedges that you can put on top of the mattress (yet under the crib sheet) to keep them on an incline. I used that with my DD years ago.

I use a pillow under Eli's mattress in his crib and that has helped bc he hated sleeping on his back. He has some reflux too so it helps with spit up.
Does anyone one else notice that their hands get so cold when they sleep in the crib? I can't swaddle Eli's arms anymore bc he rolls onto his side sometimes but when I feed him I notice that his hands are so cold. @griffin5413 I'm so glad you mentioned this. Viktorias hands get cold at night too when she sleeps by herself. I feel so bad as here i am sleeping under a heavy comforter and so warm. Are they actually cold or what? So guys I'm going away to my brothers lake house theee hours away alone with Viktoria without the husband. This could be interesting. My brother is also having friends over who don't have kids for a little party. A bit nervous how all of this will work out. Meanwhile here is a recent picture of Viktoria.
Yes Lara's hands usually get cold as well. I have read that this is due to their circulation system. I usually check her hose and neck to see if she is cold or not, and they are always warm @Drove2u Viktoria is super cute !!! H and I went to a friend`s mountain house for a weekend and it was great. I think Lara liked the clean air a lot and slept so well there. I am sure you will enjoy your time there !
@capps42613 I saw your message on the other thread, how is your first week at work going ? I hope you and Cason are both doing well . Last Friday was another tough day for me, I am about change my position and I guess it stresses me out. I came back home , I was late so I missed the nursing session I was planning . She was refusing the bottle and crying when I got back home. I started to cry again. This week is going better I think, it also helped to stay at home on Monday.
@zoefer for sure! We have been up there before and she liked it. But this time my husband isn't coming so it's al me with her for three nights. My DH helps a lot. I'm sure it'll be fine just a bit curious how it'll go for me. Lol
Pia had often cold hands, and I've been told it's nothing to worry about @griffin5413. Babies tend to have cold hands, one only should 'worry' if their neck feels cold. A Way to avoid (or less cold hands) is to give them two layers of long sleeves that reach all the way to their hands. I haven't tried this, only heard about it.
Viktoria is so cute! Good luck on your trip. Hope she does well travelling.
Sorry to hear you have a tough time with combining work and cuddles @zoefer. Hang in there, you're doing well, it's not easy going back.
@capps42613 I will definitely purchase one of those wedges since my one baby does spit up a lot laying flat. So both girls are going to be on the hypoallergenic formula and it will be covered by the insurance we just have to pay 10% and they deliver it to your home too seems like a good thing
@ultratomato That's great that your insurance is covering your formula! @Zoefer hugs for you! I'm glad this week is going better, hang in there!
The last two nights Riley has nursed for 2-3 hour, with only short (30 minutes or less) breaks and he gets frustrated with his latch to the point I've had DH give him a bottle. I don't know if all of our trips out this week have overstimulated him, but I'm going that's all it is and that tomorrow will be better. I'm not taking us out at all unless absolutely necessary

@Griffin5413 He definitely has been cluster feeding, but it's hard when you are already sore and then he keeps popping on and off and almost chewing. I know that cluster feeding helps stimulate milk supply, but I just had to have a break. He almost always eats for 45 min to an hour. I'm going to ask the doc and then get an IBCLC's opinion about if I should do anything different

Just had my night feed. An hour earlier than normal, but we looked at day care today. Took Pia with me and she has a lot to process. So she's also sleeping with me, as I've noticed she needs me close to process her day if a lot has happened. They were lovely, and handled Pia like a champ when I got shown around and forgot to say I had a bottle with me, and it was passed her nap time. #rookiemistake I loved the place, specially since they allow a minimum of 2 half days or 1 whole day. I'm planning on a home study before going back to work, so don't want her gone every single day, just once so I know I can study at least that morning. Anyway, back to the night feeding... Am I the only one who loves it that you feel them drifting off to dreamland in your arms, and when it's time to burp (although who am I kidding, she's completely knocked out) hangs against you, laying her head in your neck and curls up sticking her bump out? I just love that moment so much, it runs over my cup every single time and I just want to sit there and hold her forever! #emotionalwreck
@tvh1982 - glad you liked the daycare place! I too love when Eli does that. It's such a great feeling when your baby is so comfortable that they just knock out on your shoulder. Tonight before dinner Eli was laying on DH shoulder completely exhausted but fighting sleep. He was laying there wide awake but totally frozen like he was in a coma. It was so cute! Lol

@chicandbubbly congratulations, Carter is a cutie! Hope you're both doing well.
@tvh1982 I had that moment of aww yesterday as I was carrying Aiden around the house and his arms were around my neck. And I just thoigh how it feels like a hug but it's not really a hug yet because I put him on me like that. I can't wait for real hugs even though I don't want him growing up too fast.
Aiden started smiling 2 days ago and it's just about the cutest thing ever. I forget about the sleepless nights and his crying when he gives me that sweet smile. It's not happening too frequently yet, but when he does smile my heart totally melts. Oh and he's trying to roll over already too. This boy can't hold still. I guess I shouldn't be surprised when he's been trying to hold his head up since day 1.

You're in for a ride @tulips29. Pia has held her head up since day one, rolled from tummy to back before two months, rolling the other way around by three months. It's that she has no clue what to do with those armed or she is tigering through my living room!
Mind you, these babies can be very frustrating babies as the want more than they can. Or so they told me at Pia's two months checkup as Pia did more than they'd expect her to do.
Aw, love those hugs, can you imagine when they finally hold you tight!
@Tulips29 That is sooo sweet! Baby cuddles are just about the best thing in the world. I think it was the comedian Jim Gaffigan who said that babies are antidepressants.

And I will be starting the mini pill today, so no period for me. I wonder if it's just your first period that will be bad. Hope so! @ultratomato I'm glad the crib transition is going well for you! Re: Feb- PAIF graduates - new mamas
Ill try to get an appointment tomorrow.
Eli kinda sleeps like Pia did only she was an hour later (11 til 3 and then til 6 and then til 08:30)
She then decided to skip the 11 feeding, so I got recommended to feed her at 11, so she skip the 3 o'clock one.

I don't know if all of our trips out this week have overstimulated him, but I'm going that's all it is and that tomorrow will be better. I'm not taking us out at all unless absolutely necessary

#rookiemistake
I loved the place, specially since they allow a minimum of 2 half days or 1 whole day.
