@jessieR358 I only go shopping once a week on Saturday, so I sit down and make a meal list. We got this nifty dry eraser board with each day of the week on it that sticks to the fridge. I write down what we are having so I can remember when I get home at night. I also have a spreadsheet of all the meals we like and have often. It took a few weeks to make it but it's so useful. I also have them categorized into beef, chicken, or other; fast and slow; expensive and inexpensive...but that's just because I love lists and charts and all.

Omg me too! Same to all of this!
Wow! I'm always in awe of people that do the spreadsheets and have it so organized. I usually buy enough for 2-3 meals at a time and then load up again. I do Shipt, because I hate grocery shopping!
@jessieR358 I'm just too lazy to go food shopping more than once a week, sometimes I don't even do that. The supermarket I like is 20/25 min away so that's part of the reason. But a lot of times I do the "from home" orders where I order on the app and pick up in store.
@mrsmgsee I'm so envious of the venison stew! Yum.
I don't actually do weekly meal plans since I hate having to go to the grocery store once a week. Instead I do once a month cooking. I just spent last weekend making and freezing 30 casseroles. Then I just pull one out of the freezer the night before I want it and pop it in the oven when I get home from work.

@ChefRamsay lol toasted bread with avocado smashed on top
This is all I wanted yesterday. My husband bought 4 avocado on Sunday and every single freaking one was rotted on the inside. I was pretty upset. Why he bought a bag of mushy ones beats me! Not to mention that was like $6 wasted
@JustBored10 I read it as toasted avocado bread and thought that sounded good! I was hoping for a recipe. Guess I'll have to ask Google for a recipe for avocado bread.

I HATE when that happens! I always try to buy a range of at least one soft one then a few harder ones to ripen over the days.
