    14 weeks 6 days
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in?
Nausea is gone, more dizziness if I stand up too fast, energy is much better, appetite is doing awesome, RLP is getting painful every once in awhile, sex drive is back if not back to normal.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go?
I think? Just a regular OB, they actually have me seeing a nurse practitioner at the moment, nurse was kind of an asshat, but the baby had a good heartbeat in the 150's.
    Rants/raves?
I really want to get into this all midwife birth center practice but they are making it so difficult. They need my medical records to review before they will even schedule me, and there keeps being a problem with them actually receiving them.
    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
I can never think of these now, but I always end up with them later.
GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet?
GAH. I hate everything in my closet right now.

    RE: Nausea

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Nope.  No appointments until 2/3

Rants/raves?  I'm thinking about going to the local women's march on Saturday morning and the weather might actually be decent!  50s and not raining!

Questions for FTM, or STM+? I have some questions about breastfeeding, but I feel like a big thread is bound to come up sometime and I'll ask it there.

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet? I found out about "dress pant yoga pants" last year and my life changed lol.  I now have 3 pairs and they are a wardrobe staple.  Sadly I won't be able to fit in them much longer the way things are going... :s

I'm about as tired of complaining about my nausea as y'all probably are reading about it ;)
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go?
    Nope
    Rants/raves?
I'm putting off an email to a man who accused me of being unable to do my job.
    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
For STMs with tall beds, where did the baby sleep as a newborn and was it difficult/easy to get up in the middle of the night to feed/change/sooth?
GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet?
I have to choose one? LOL. Pre-pregnancy it was this little white sleeveless dress with a ruffle. Loved that thing. Now it is leggings.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Still battling morning sickness. Starting to experience horrible exhaustion. I told my husband I was going to clean today....I'm eating popcorn and watching BONES on Netflix.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? I had a quick pelvic exam and physical last week. Also did the blood testing for downs and gender.  Everything came back normal  and found out we're having a boy!

Rants/raves?  I feel so useless all the time! There's always so much I want and need to do on my days off but I have zero energy for it or spend all day throwing up.

Questions for FTM, or STM+?  Do you really just wake up one day and your bump has "popped"?

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet? My grey hoodie. I'm a hoodie hoarder. I have a million but its my favorite article of clothing. I'll be sad when I have to retire them.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Dizziness is setting in when I stand up to fast, and my hunger is in with a vengeance.  I have to constantly eat small meals or I get super nauseated.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Had the NT scan on Saturday and got the results today that everything is normal!  So glad to hear that.

Rants/raves? Um, not exactly, but went to pick up my grandma from the airport with my mom yesterday and while waiting in baggage claim for her, I looked over at the food crumbs on the chairs and saw three whole Lays potato chips and I have never in my life wanted those chips more.  Luckily, there was a little airport snack stand right there and we all got chips and I'll tell you, those were the best chips I've ever tasted in my life!

Questions for FTM, or STM+? What kind of snacks do you keep in your bag?  I sometimes have a protein bar, but feel I need to carry something constantly with the way my hunger has been.

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet?  Right now it's these baby doll tops I got at JC Penney that are so figure flattering and soft and comfortable and I can grow my baby bump into them AND wear them with leggings.  It's the best.

Yes, kid weighs 5 oz!  Mind blowing.

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
This is mainly for STMs+ (and maybe TMI).  Do your boobs just keep growing after 1st tri?  Or are they pretty much done at that point?  I graduated from my usual bras and now the maternity bras I bought are also getting smallish.  Debating whether to size up again...or whether to just wait because the growth is just going to keep coming.
GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet?
All my splendid pajamas.  I live in them when not at work.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in?  the few symptoms I had are all gone, with the exception of the constipation, but even that is lessening.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go?  had NT scan today.  Baby didn't cooperate so some of the measurements are higher, but the MFM specialist felt that it was an error since 3 measurements were normal.  Following up with the maternit21 blood test for confirmation.

Rants/raves?  Rant last week was about having to do a 24 hour urine; my urine came back with protein, but not enough to to be considered 'high'...so that's my baseline.  My BP was great today, so MFM isn't worried about that either...so I taking that as a win!

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?

@maybeitsmadeline I keep saltines in my bag, but that's more for alleviating nausea than hunger.

@RubyRedPirate UGH I feel you on feeling useless. My husband has been so great picking up the slack but I still feel so guilty about not being able to help around the house as much. I feel defensive about it and sometimes snap at him when he asks me to do something.

@PurplePumpernickel  Know my answer will be different since I'm a c-section mom. I had a tall bed with 2 of my 3 kids. I could barely get out of bed because of my incision so I slept on the couch. Baby in a bassinet not too far away so in the beginning I didn't have to go very far(my husband worked 3rd and couldnt take off except during my 2 day hospital stay). Having a vaginal birth will of course have different obstacles to which I've never experienced. Hope this at least gave you info in case you have to have a c-section(hopefully you don't).

@RubyRedPirate It really depends on the woman and the pregnancy. My first I popped over night but not until I was 8 months pregnant. Went from looking like I had just gained 5 pounds to basketball stomach overnight. With my last 2 it was gradual. However, started showing MUCH earlier. This time I know it will take longer to show as I'm overweight at the beginning but figure by about 20 weeks should at least look pregnant and not overweight anymore(hopefully).

@theweevee The growth during these next few weeks blows my mind! It's crazy to me to think that this LO will go from 2.1 inches/less than half ounce to 4.5 inches/3.5 ounces in just a few weeks!
@maybeitsmadeline I usually have almonds, Kind bars or mini Clif bars, and whole fruit (typically an apple or Halo oranges).

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? My lower left abdomen (just below and left of my belly button) is getting really weird and hard at night. I can only imagine that it's my uterus/full bladder moving my organs around, but wow does it feel weird!

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Nope, not until Feb. 6

Rants/raves? DH has the day off work today, so he's running a bunch of errands so we can just make dinner and chill when I get home. I love that man.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? Has anyone experienced the weird lump thing in my symptoms? It isn't typically there during the day, so I'm assuming that it has to be something with a full bladder. But at 12+5, I'm sure it's not my uterus/baby...

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet? Hmmmmmm, I may have to go with my scarves. I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to clothes, and most of mine are pretty basic. But I love changing up a basic tee and cardigan with a fun scarf.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Starting to get rlp. Sometimes I wake up at night with a strong pull, and sometimes during the day. Leaning over at work is also bothering me a little too. I feel like I can feel my uterus expanding and starting to move up. Not sure though! Could be imagining things lol

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Nope

Rants/raves? Just ordered "gentle baby" essential oil from young living. I'm going to combine it with coconut oil for a stretch mark cream! Can't wait. Also has many uses for when baby is here!

Questions for FTM, or STM+? Bassinet or pack n play with Bassinet next to bed? What's easier/more functional. I am scared of buying/receiving things I just don't need. I want tips on what's actually useful  (I know every baby is different but still, some things are essential some are not)

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet? leggings! Wear them everyday lol I hate jeans!! Even more now obviously.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? It looks like I now have indigestion after eating, which causes the nausea, which causes me to feel like death. So that's fun. Also, it's funny that I can now tell exactly where the tiny human (aka Stitch) is and how active it is throughout the day. Case in point: this morning, Stitch was smack dab beneath my belly button. At lunchtime, Stitch was on my right side. When I got home and changed into sweats, Stitch was on the left side.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Nope. Nothing at the OB for two more weeks. :(

Rants/raves? This is a bit of an AW moment, but I'm proud of myself. I hate making lists, but I have so much to do at work that one was required...and I keep adding to it. Of the 14 things on my list (most of which carried over from last week), I checked 6 off today. Granted, this pretty much guarantees I'll get 0 things checked off the rest of the week, but it still felt really good.

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet? My red pair of fleece Old Navy sweatpants (which I'm currently wearing). I love these things and get super sad when they get put away in the summertime. I've had these for 9-ish years now.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? I had my NT scan.  It went well!  Did my first blood draw for the NIPT so just waiting now.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? Is it worthwhile to get a separate jogging stroller?  I'm eyeing the Bob but it's so pricey.

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet?  my black blazer.  It hides my bloating and keeps me warm at work.  It will also hide my bump for a while when it finally starts to show.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Had a routine prenatal appointment.  It was uneventful.  I had my NT scan which went well.  The 3D u/s was so cool.  Just waiting for the first round of NIPT results.

    Rants/raves? Already posted to MBF.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? Is it worthwhile to get a jogging stroller?  In theory, I would like to go for walks and runs with the baby, but I'm not sure if it will realistically happen.  The Bob stroller is so expensive.

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet? @manillabar, if you're lame then I'm lame too.  I love my work dresses.  That's because my fashion sense is lacking and I like not having to figure out how to match top and bottom.  I'm clinging like mad to the ones that fit.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in?  Lately I've been vomiting right after brushing my teeth, so that's a fun variation.  I think I've had RLP a couple times now, but it's been infrequent and not too bad yet.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Nope, but I got my NIPT test results back - healthy baby girl :-)

Rants/raves? I'm working from home this week which is so wonderful!

Questions for FTM, or STM+? not at the moment

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet?  At the moment, I'm pretty much living in black yoga pants - I can't button my jeans anymore.  But my favorite item in general is probably my bright red winter coat.  I love the color, the cut, the fabric - everything about it really.  Pre-pregnancy it fit me perfectly, and now it's a little tight around the middle.  I hope I can fit into it post-baby.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? I'm experiencing withdrawal from weaning off of my anti-depressants. I have lots of support from my partner, my midwife, and my family doctor, but it's still very hard. My midwife says thats likely the reason i'm getting such bad headaches right now. I'm also crying and getting emotional very easily, which I believe I believe has more to do with transitioning off my meds than it does with pregnancy.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Saw my midwife today, and it went very well. I HEARD BABY'S HEARTBEAT!! It was seriously one of the most amazing things I've ever heard in my life. It was a very cool experience, and despite feeling like a steaming pile of garbage today, I'm happy because I know baby's there and has a strong heart  :)

Rants/raves? I'm not thrilled about posts being randomly closed on here. I hope whoever is doing the reporting grows up and knocks it off. Other than that, I'm trying to get my place in order and create space for all the incoming baby paraphernalia.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? No questions at this time.

GTKY: What is your favourite item of clothing or accessory in your closet? My partner bought me a super cozy, authentic Cowichan Sweater. It's gorgeous and keeps me warm on the coldest of days.

I walk and hike with my regular ol' stroller, and it works. I don't run with baby in the stroller though, just because I'm too lazy. I have no interest in spending money on a jogging stroller, it's definitely not a necessity.

Thanks @mrscate88!  My question is pretty specific, so I'm not sure you have any experience with this, but here it goes. I have some blockages in one of my milk ducts that are probably papillomas (benign growths).  I was wondering if anyone else has experience with this and if it affected their ability to breastfeed.  I found out about them a few years ago because I had some bloody discharge, and it still bleeds occasionally (once a year or so).  My OB said that if I am bleeding, I cannot breastfeed (from that side at least).

@a_wee_bit_terrified I'm sorry you're having withdrawal symptoms! Those are the worst, and compounded by all the pregnancy symptoms must make it horrible! I weaned off of pristiq a couple years ago and the other symptoms faded relatively quickly but I still had the occasional "brain zap" for probably a good year afterward. I hope you start feeling better soon!

@manillabar the brain zaps are the worst! I'm looking forward to those going away, they're distracting and make me anxious. Its my last day on .25mg and I've decided to take a sick day from work. I just can't with my co workers today.

Aww man that sucks. Unfortunately I don't have personal experience there but that would be so disappointing if your OB was correct. I'd definitely speak to an LC and see what your options are. Hopefully you don't have any more bleeding episodes and can breastfeed no problem. And you're right, a breastfeeding thread will come along later and someone will have experience to share, I'm sure.

    How far along are you?
    13 weeks today

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in?
Belly is definitely harder, not quite a bump yet. Breast tenderness seems to have come back too.

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go?
I had my NT Scan today and everything looks good! Baby had 160 HB; I also kept being told that the baby looked bigger than 13 weeks, but was measuring exactly haha. My California prenatal blood screening came back as well and everything looks really good!

    Rants/raves?
I guess I'm officially at the start of 2nd tri, right? I'm just waiting for my energy to come back. I feel so useless when I NEED to nap at 3pm everyday...but I don't have anything against extra Zs! Haha

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
None that I can think of at the top of my head.

GTKY: What is your favorite item of clothing or accessory in your closet?
Definitely love the extra large, fuzzy sweater my hubby gave me. Technically it's his, but I took over it haha. It's so warm and soft and is just great.
