@yelllow22 I say pack your bags if you want! It will take a bit off your mind to be ready to go. I packed, and then I have a sticky note on the wall with things to grab last minute (chargers, makeup, etc.) I bought some clothes I don't mind going to the hospital so I could pack early without wondering where my socks or leggings went.

My 37-week apt was quick and easy today. Wee Boy hid from the doppler again, lol. They didn't check my cervix since they had last week, but given that nothing really has changed in terms of symptoms, they didn't feel the need. Now it's time to get back in bed for some more Downton and maybe a nap!

So my OB wants to do membrane stripping, I've been googling like crazy since he's informed me of this and I'm totally anxious about the whole thing. I mean my pregnancy has pretty much been smooth sailing, so I guess I shouldn't worry too much. Anybody know anyone who's been through membrane stripping before?
@WishingforLuck When do they want to and what reason did they give?

@Drove2u - My labor with my first son was exactly what happened with your labor. I ended up pushing for 4 hours and then the doctor could see my exhaustion and said that he was "taking the kid out of the sunroof" (my Ob is the like "patch adams" character form the movie, so I'm always laughing).

@WishingforLuck I had my mebranes stripped the day I was meeting my OB at the hospital in hopes to jump start labor. It didn't send me into active labor, however, membranes were only stripped 4 hours before I got to the hospital so it really didn't have much time to work. They kept me because I was already 4cm dilated before I got there. The sweep did cause me to lose my mucus plug though. I will say that it was highly unpleasant.

@WishingforLuck - For my first DS, he was 8 days late after my 40 week due date, refusing to sit still for any doppler or move to help the nurses/doctor. Stubborn little guy. He was transverse and sunny-side up all through my labor. I was induced, went into hospital late at night where they put a suppository up me to thin the lining and gave me pitocin. Within 2 hours of sleeping, I felt I wet the bed. Turned out my water broke. I freaked out. The nurses giggled and said, "This is great news! You're about to have a baby!". Got me back to bed and then contractions started. Within 2 hours I got an epidural and slept more. Woke up, hours went by, dilation, etc. Then I pushed for 4 hours. Doc kept checking in, would manually move baby for head down position only to literally physically see the LO move back to his comfortable position. That's when the doc saw how exhausted I was and decided emergency c-section.
I think these boys sometimes are so comfortable in their mammas they don't want to leave. Good luck! it will happen when it happens and all of it is so unpredictable. <hugs>

@dragonfaerie they want to do it this coming week. Because it's twins I will not go past 38 weeks, also I am not going to be induced so to get things started this is what the plan is. @capps42613 Thanks for the info, I am not looking forward to the feeling, but hey at least maybe it'll get things started. I just want my little ones to stay put a little longer. So we'll see. @pdbird thanks for the info. That's what I keep telling myself. It'll happen, when it happens.
The c-section is still on as planned for the 13th. I'm 37 weeks today and I really hope I don't go into labor early. We're in the middle of a snow storm here. Anytime I feel a sudden pain or very brief uncomfortable feeling, I get really nervous.
Right now there's a lot of stress surrounding me at home and I am keeping my distance. I don't really have the emotional support of dh, but I have the support of many others and I'm taking care of myself. I've actually turned into the one supporting him and it is kind of frustrating. I have done all the preparations I can under the circumstances.
So that's where things are with me right now. I'm kind of nervous at how everything is up in the air and dh is not ready, but I know that I'm that most prepared out of everyone. The parents all know the plans and are ready to help.
@LynnNJ - I'm sorry DH is not supporting you the way you need right now! That definitely makes the whole process harder. I sometimes think guys aren't really ever ready until the baby actually gets here. Hoping your LO stays in there until the 13th!
Me: 33 (no known issues)

@WishingforLuck That makes sense. I'm wondering if you can find a prenatal acupuncturist that can help get you started too? @yelllow22 My last u/s was at 32 or 34 weeks (can't remember now) but most of my apts have just been quick and easy, seeing how I'm feeling and if I have questions. They checked my cervix at 36 weeks and it was still closed, so they didn't check this last week.

I think these boys sometimes are so comfortable in their mammas they don't want to leave. Good luck! it will happen when it happens and all of it is so unpredictable. <hugs>

@capps42613 Thanks for the info, I am not looking forward to the feeling, but hey at least maybe it'll get things started. I just want my little ones to stay put a little longer. So we'll see.
@pdbird thanks for the info. That's what I keep telling myself. It'll happen, when it happens.
@yelllow22 I have been wondering the same thing!!
TTC since Oct 2013
IVF round 1 January 2016 (w/ ICSI)
ER: February 17, 2016; 15 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fertilized
Day 5 Blastocysts: 8 sent for PGS - 5 Normal
FET date: April 12, 2016 - DS born Dec 7, 2016
IVF round 2: FET : Oct 4 - 1st Beta 188!
@yelllow22 My last u/s was at 32 or 34 weeks (can't remember now) but most of my apts have just been quick and easy, seeing how I'm feeling and if I have questions. They checked my cervix at 36 weeks and it was still closed, so they didn't check this last week.
