Infertility

January TWW

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone :)

I hope I'm not overstepping by starting this, but I couldn't find one already created, and the December one didn't seem to apply to me as I test in January.

Month/Cycle:

DPO:

WAYDTGKU (TI, IUI, IVF, FET?):

HPT or beta date:

What are you doing to pass the time?

What's the best gift you got this year?

New Years plans?

Mine-

Month/Cycle: cycle 18

DPO: 2

WAYDTGKU (TI, IUI, IVF, FET?): This is a non-medical intervention month for us after months of surgeries and medications that hopefully cleared up whatever issue we have had...so trying naturally and also doing acupuncture

HPT or beta date: January 6. I am forcing myself to wait until AF is late this time. Well, that's the goal for now at least.

What are you doing to pass the time? It's hard this month because I have so much time off work- not normally a bad thing but gives me too much time to brood. Going to try and bury myself in some good books.

What's the best gift you got this year? My new Kindle :)

New Years plans? A friend is having a party, going to have a low key night

Good luck to all
xoxo
Jessi

Re: January TWW

  • Month/Cycle:  19/21

    DPO:
    4-6dpo

WAYDTGKU (TI, IUI, IVF, FET?): After 4 failed IUI's we're taking a break this month and just doing a natural cycle, no BBT.
Supplements: PNV (methylfolate), Coq10, baby aspirin, vitamin D, EPO

    HPT or beta date:
AF is due Jan 3rd, I'm trying to hold out testing until New years eve so that I can decide if I will drink that night or not

What are you doing to pass the time? Traveling to see family, organizing the house post Christmas chaos, planning and making some super healthy veggie soups (roasted red pepper, kale w/ quinoa, Spinach orzo, roasted broccoli)

What's the best gift you got this year?
My mom is getting me winter riding boots, and they are super nice ones. I wish my DH and I could afford to splurge on crazy awesome gifts; the horse I ride is for sale and the best gift ever would have been her, but alas, we can't afford her.

    New Years plans?
2016 has been the worst year for me and my closest group of friends, so we're getting together to kick out 2016 and welcome 2017 (don't let the door hit you on the way out!)

  • @reesaanne16 we're only a couple days apart, good luck and my fingers are crossed for you! I'm debating whether to test new years too but it would only be 8 dpo for me and I'll be crushed with a negative...I'm planning on drinking just a glass or two of champagne and trying to hold out. And amen to shutting the door on 2016.

    @lafemmeviolette congrats on healthy embryos!

@brooklyngirl18 welcome! we're right around the same testing day too *crossing fingers for all of us*

It makes me feel so much less alone knowing people who are in the wait at the same time <3

  • WAYDTGKU: IVF was 12/1, and FET is scheduled for 1/10!

HPT or beta date: Beta scheduled for 1/20

What are you doing to pass the time? This is our first attempt at IVF, so I'm kind of obsessing over baby stuff and created a secret Pinterest board. I haven't been this hopeful since our first year TTC. I've also been drawing a lot on my spare time.

What's the best gift you got this year?
I would have to say my 4 PGS normal snowflakes. I could not have asked for more.

New Years plans? I'm going to be the DD for my husband (or anyone else who needs it), and we are going to go over to a friends get together. Nothing too big though, one of our dogs has anxiety with fireworks, so I wanted to come home at a decent time and check on her. Our vet gave us Xanax to give her.
TTC #1: March 2011 (slightly before)

Several dilation of cervix because they suspect the scar tissue is hindering it from fully opening (partially adds to the severe cramps all month)
IVF #1 Gonal F, Menopur and Cetrotide
    ER 12/1/2016
    ER-Retrieved 22 eggs 10 fertilized
4/4 day 5 embryos were normal for PGS!!! 2 boys/2 girls

    Gallbladder surgery 1/10/2017
FET estimated end of Feb, beginning of March

  • ok ladies I'm officially going symptom spotting crazy.
On Christmas (4-6dpo) I began to itch along my back and broke out in a rash. I thought it was due to a wool sweater I was wearing, so I changed and took a shower. It's been 3 days now, and the itchiness and rash is getting worse. I've take benedryl, which doesn't seem to help. I've NEVER had a rash like this, and never had eczema.

So of course I'm googling this like crazy and finding info on "Prurigo of Pregnancy" which sounds exactly like my symptoms. I even found an article suggesting there could be an early dermatosis associated with implantation.
    https://www.karger.com/Article/Fulltext/327377

I feel like it's too early to take a HPT, but I'm going to buy one tomorrow (7-10 dpo).

I think it's a little ridiculous, because our odds of getting pregnant on a natural cycle are only 1-3%, so all this speculation is just going to cause me to get false hope.

@ReesaAnne16 I am right with you on the crazy symptom spotting- I literally googled eye twitching yesterday even though I KNOW it's bsc and multiple people laughed about doing the same thing in a past thread.

Are you going to take a test today or are you holding off?

  • @bluejeanbabi05  I tested today... BFN. It was silly to get my hopes up; A rash is usually not a good thing, luckily its beginning to improve slightly.

Not under my baseline but close. And of course now I'm wondering if it should be even lower due to the upset sleep....commence the BSC

  • Month/Cycle: 2/2 after break

    DPO: who knows

WAYDTGKU (TI, IUI, IVF, FET?): currently, nothing. This is a natural cycle since I'm transferring to a new RE on the 6th. But I did have a 12mm follie on cd2 somehow so hopefully by some miracle it turned into something.

HPT or beta date: the 5th before my appt the next day even though I know it will be bfn

What are you doing to pass the time? Working, trying to straighten the house back up post holiday chaos and trying to get renovations back on the road

    New Years plans? Working....

  • @ReesaAnne16 was the rash on both sides of your back? If it was only on one side it could have very likely been shingles.

We are on month 14 cycle 18 (I think)

    I'm 5dpo

all we did was BD once on O day, which finally didn't stress me out now that we have been told we have a 1% chance of success on our own....so obviously I'm not worried about testing before NYE. We will do IUI with clomid once AF comes.

I'm passing the time by working on some wedding invitations for friends (I do graphic design on the side) and I've decided to pick up extra shifts at my old job in the ER.....which I may end up regretting haha.

Best present was getting to have my family over. We never see them and it's literally a miracle to find a time everyone can get together, so it was really nice.

We are going to a fancy-dress party at a friend's house. I'm hoping I stay awake through the whole thing!

  • @bestofjoy when will you do IVF? Our RE doesn't have another cycle until March. Hopefully you get to move onto IVF before then.....the wait is awful!

@ReesaAnne16 that definitely isn't shingles (thankfully!), I got a rash like that when I ate mangoes the last time....which I've eaten many times before and never had issues with. I even did a test and had a tiny bit of mango once my rash was gone and I got a milder version. I wonder what caused yours....rashes are the pits!

@rainbowwishes5 glad they both made it through testing! I think someone on here mentioned their first BFP with a 4cb or 4cc? I honestly don't know what the numbers and letters mean, but I assumed the higher the better and aa is best? Either way congrats!

  • OK, well I guess I'll jump on here because I am sort of in the 2WW... GL to everyone!

Month/Cycle: 7th time taking Letrozole, have been TTC since 2014. I had leftover pills, so when I got a period in December I took them CD3-7 but I am unmonitored. On CD17 I noticed EWCM, which continued for 3 days, then my breasts started to hurt on CD20 so I'm assuming I ovulated or got close to it. We only BD'd on CD19 (not to mention all the medical issues!) so I don't have my hopes up but I suppose stranger things have happened!

    DPO: I think 7 or 8.

WAYDTGKU (TI, IUI, IVF, FET?): TI with Letrozole

HPT or beta date: Just waiting for AF this time around - should be here on the 10th or 11th so I know I'll probably start testing when we get home from a weekend trip on the 9th! My luteal phase is 14 or 15 days with little variation.

What are you doing to pass the time? Nothing special; since I'm not sure I even ovulated I feel less stressed then on a monitored cycle.

What's the best gift you got this year? A hand-painted mug from my 5 year old niece :)

New Years plans? Just went to a friend's house. Very chill!

  • @rainbowwishes5 ty so much.  We are excited,  but staying calm and realistic.... my lucky number is 4. I'm so glad this time it finally worked.  Praying everything goes ok.
  • @dadezbombz I'm do happy for you. First BFP of the thread. I hope it continues to grow into a healthy baby.  You have a lot to celebrate!

im checking in early for my TWW. We're doing Clomid IUI with HCG trigger. I just started Clomid yesterday.  We'll likely do the IUI next weekend.  This is cycle 5 of 6 required by insurance before moving to IVF.  The chances of it working are maybe 2% so we aren't getting our hopes up.   We're kinda just going through the motions.  I'm also in a 2TWW with my insurance over our appeal for IVF.  Hoping for a response next week!

BFN at 11dpo for this natural cycle (not that I had any hope, really, but it would have been such a much needed Christmas/NY miracle). Onto another IVF next week, ugh.
@PoeMasque Do you start IUI meds soon?
    Good luck, @LeFemmeViolette

  • Sorry @bestofjoy i had a BFN at 9dpo and have had my usual pre-AF brown CM the last two days, so I'm just waiting for AF too (not that we had any hope either this cycle). AF is due sat or sun. I will start clomid 3 days after AF arrives.

WAYDTGKU (TI, IUI, IVF, FET?): We were supposed to do an IUI, but timing didn't work out - so just TI & clomid (medicated cycle).

HPT or beta date: Jan 15.

What are you doing to pass the time? Obsessively read these boards. I'm supposed to go visit a friend one weekend... I should also work, like at my job. The TWW is AGONIZING.

What's the best gift you got this year?
My husband had earrings made to match ones I'd inherited from my grandmother but lost.

New Years plans? We went to a (very casual) party in someone's living room.

  • @brooklyngirl18 Ugh, sorry for your BFN. Was it from an IUI?

  • Just stopping by to see how some of you ladies are doing.

@bestofjoy and @brooklyngirl18I'm so sorry about the BFN. I hope you can get going on your next steps soon.
