CD/DPO: 22/5 says FF but with one more high temp my O date with change to cd20

R/R: ITS WINTER BREAK!!
Q/CS: nothing- after this cycle if I'm not KTFU, I am calling my doctor about my 8 day LP. I want to take something to lengthen it but I'm on other medication so I don't want to take anything without approval
GTKY: What are uou getting for your SO this year?
I got him a lot of little things. Car scraper, CAH, underwear, clothes, etc.
R/R: My last day of work before off for the holidays and I have to leave for work a full hour early. Ugh I hate being charge at the clinic on Thursdays. Rave - today is my last day at work until January 3rd. Also, my temp went up today when it usually starts it's downward trend. But I'm also trying to not get my hopes up, ttc is a fickle bitch.
Q/CS: none so far
GTKY: What are uou getting for your SO this year? I bought H tickets to the Packer game this weekend. Super excited!

@Brooklyngirl6@Stephann85 Keeping my fx for you! @Breath_Easy92 I found this amazing cleanser/ exfoliator that's made a huge difference for my face this winter. I spent more than I've ever spent on a facial product in my life, but it's been worth it! @TravelingCouple Happy bday to DS! R/R: DS seems to be finally getting better- thank you for all the well wishes yesterday. He was up super early again this morning, but he's coughing a lot and seemed happier than yesterday. Apparently baby projectile vomiting from mucus in their stomachs is a thing. My couch smells like curdled milk right now. BUT, if he's still looking good, my parents are taking him to PA today, and we'll meet them up there tomorrow. My friends, that means a date night (DH's bday was on Tuesday) and sweet, uninterrupted sleep. Hallelujah.
Q/CS: My temps the last couple days are unreliable, since DS had us up at 3:30am. I've got nothing.
GTKY: What are you getting for your SO this year? Um.. nothing? We don't really swap presents, unless there is something we know the other really really wants. We spent all our money on DS this year anyway.

Q/CS: I think I'll go for my 7dpo bloodwork tomorrow but part of me is nervous and doesn't want to see the results
GTKY: What are uou getting for your SO this year? I did several little things this year: slippers, a Robert Bateman calendar (his fav), a new mug (it has snowshoes on it like the ones hanging on our wall), and I'm waiting on a cute toothpick holder in the mail that is green trees and when you put the toothpicks in it looks like the tree trunks...he's a forestry engineer and constantly uses toothpicks (hoping it comes in time!)
But also doing a stocking this year, which is fun: toothbrush, shower puff, three kinds of toothpicks, funny socks, chocolate, and a BBQ lighter
@Breath_Easy92 It's by the brand AmorePacific, and it's called the Treatment Enzyme Peel, even though it's not actually a peel. The brand is Korean, but it's available on/ at Sephora. I actually got it as a sample from a previous Sephora order, and once I saw how smooth my skin was afterwards (I peel really badly when it gets cold), I was sold. I did some research online, too, and all the reviews were awesome. I recommend it if you've got cash to spare, or Christmas money. I have really sensitive skin, and I use it every couple of days or so, and haven't had any issues.
@hartmich Sorry for BFN. Hugs. I know it especially sucks this weekend.

GTKY: What are uou getting for your SO this year? Personalized Xbox controller, Harry Potter screenplay, and a photo book with boudoir pics, which is WAY out of my element, so hopefully he will enjoy.

R/R: So, DH agrees with me that using pre-cooked prime rib is the worst idea ever.... so, his idea was to get one raw one, and use one of the pre-cooked ones (we have to have 2 to feed everyone). He swears up and down that his mom won't be offended by this. I pray he's right. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut, we also have a small glazed ham to heat up and now I have no idea how I'm going to cook and heat up everything. I have an electric roaster that I can put the ham in, and THANK BABY JESUS I have two ovens, but I need one of the ovens to cook the potatoes and other sides. I can't imagine heating up/cooking the pre-cooked AND raw prime rib in the same oven is even remotely a good idea. If I get another crock pot I may be able to move the ham to one of the crock pots and use the electric roaster for the pre-cooked prime rib. First world problems LOL.
GTKY: What are you getting for your SO this year? We aren't really doing gifts this year... but we've thought about shopping the after Christmas sales for each other.

@LuND: while a first world problem...that definitely sounds like quite the predicament! Can you maybe heat one up and then place it in the crockpot to keep warm?

Q/CS: Two questions:
#1: I am going from the Mountain Time Zone to Pacific Time Zone (tomorrow morning). I currently temp between 6:10-6:40am MST, what time should I temp in PCT? Does it matter?
#2: So I had purchased the MABIS digital thermometer on Amazon a few months ago because it had good reviews. I have only been using it for two months. However, for the last few mornings, it has taken about 80-90 seconds to read my temp. Is this a sign the battery is dying? Are temps less accurate if the thermometer takes so long?
GTKY: What are you getting for your SO this year? We are counting our winter vacation as gifts to each other. We have so much stuff that we don't really buy each other gifts for holidays, other than small items for birthdays. Also, we booked a trip to Europe for the Spring, so that's kind of like a shared gift for each other.
@dragonfly87 I think my MABIS takes about that long. I find that the colder it is in my room, the longer it takes for the thermometer to climb to my temp. I usually wrap the part that reads the temp in my hand for a few seconds to warm it up a second. Seems to help a little. It might also all be in my head.
Together 2007 | Married 2011 | Me: 36 | DH: 38 Adopted Furbaby: 2014 TTC#1 : 1/2016 | IUI #2 - BFP 12/24/16 -- born 9/8/17 TTC#2: 11/2019 | Dx DOR (AMH 0.3), AMA IUI #2 - BFP 7/1/20 -- EDD 3/14/21
@dragonfly87 I actually just called my BIL and ask him to bring his crockpot. So, now I'll have two crock pots - I'll have mulled wine in one, the ham in the other, I'll put the pre-cooked prime rib in the electric roaster, and cook the raw prime rib in one of my ovens
@dragonfly87 How long will you be gone for? I think the general rule of thumb that I've heard before is to temp within the half hour window that you'd normally temp- let's say you normally temp at 6am, which is 5am Pacific. Temp at 5:30am, and then maybe 5:45 the next day, and 6 the next? I guess it depends on how long you'll be there and how militant you want to be about getting the right time period. It's probably not quite as important since we already O'd.
I think we talked about the thermometer yesterday, mine is slow right now too. I'll try what PP suggested with warming up the reading end slightly beforehand, mine has been slower with the colder weather. but since this battery is older, it could be that the cold is sapping the remaining battery life. It can't hurt to try a new battery, but your thermometer isn't that old.
@ColoradoHiker thanks for the insights. We will be there for 10 days. I may try the starting early and shifting a few minutes each day. I want to temp post O to feel more reassured about potential progesterone issues given my last cycle. I will give the thermometer tip a try too.
@hartmich Ugh sorry for the BFN @juliebeannnHERE is the mug organizer! @dragonfly87 My Mabis takes forever too..sometimes even several minutes..to the point where I'm like hello? Did I turn this thing on right? I would love to replace it, but haven't found another that is accurate or doesn't crap out as well. I swear I change the batteries on mine every few months, it's a bit ridiculous.
Thanks for the responses everyone on the thermometer and the temping. I guess I will give it a few more weeks and see what happens. @TravelingCouple do you buy replacement batteries for it online?
Wow, about to board our plane and I didn't pack any HPTs. We don't return until December 31. AF is due on December 30. I didn't plan on testing before, but now I have no choice. I refuse to test on anything other than my cheapie wondfos, so I am committed to staying in the dark this cycle!

@JulesDP , @BertieMeetsGertie , and @Dinosaur Yay for last day of work before Christmas. I am so excited to be off an extra couple days!
@hartmich sorry about BFN.
@WillRunForWine21 Sorry about the BFN. Sounds like an awesome gift for YH.
@ColoradoHiker I'm testing this weekend too. FX for you.
@rainbowturtles my Heart also uses toothpicks all the time. But mine leaves them all over the house, ugh.
@MrsVP614 FX for you and that temp rise means good news coming soon.
@juliebeannn FX for you.
@FLAshley are you going anywhere special during your vacation? (Sorry if this was discussed in another thread)
@LuND LOVE the video! I'm the same way when u get company. Especially the ILs.
@dragonfly87 hopefully you can get your thermometer to cooperate and the your travels don't mess with your temps too bad.

@juliebeannn HERE is the mug organizer!
(ok, I guess if I get really desperate, I might buy a cheap $1 test at the Dollar Tree), but I am going to try to hold out! It's going to be a long 9 days....
