CD:21 (!!!!!!) My FP is now 2 days longer than my entire cycle last month. Last month was my first O in a while though so maybe that's why.

CS/Q: General question to ladies with anxiety. Do you notice your symptoms skyrocket during O? I think mine always have but now being back to ovulating regularly (I hope) and being off my meds, this week has been horrible with symptoms. I also second guess everything for what's normal to me and wish I would have spent more time charting before we TTC!

R/R: Raves: AF is gone and today is my last day of work before the holidays!
CS/Q: OK guys, this might be the weirdest most TMI question ever. You've been warned. Has the inside of your mouth ever peeled? It happens to me occasionally. I suspect it's due to either eating too much acidic food or something else (toothpaste, mouthwash) irritating it. Well yesterday the same thing happened to my vagina! WTF?! It didn't hurt or itch. Today it's a bit sore - like too much sex, not itchy. I wonder if it's from my Diva cup. I usually wash it using Dove bar soap but I used our new hand soap a few times this cycle. The soap says it's paraben-free, etc. but it does have fragrance. Anyway, just super weirded out and wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen to them or if you have any insights.

R/R: I got a darker OPK last night, then a true positive OPK this morning. I know PCOS can cause you to rev up to O and then you don't, but I'm just so excited that it might actually happen. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I really hope my chart will confirm O in a few days.
CS/Q: I've been posting in the CS thread, and I'm so thankful for all the support.

@starla that has not happened to me, but I know fragrances and any new products pose potential problems. My sister can't use scented tampons for this exact reason. Pretty sure it gives her the same reaction your describing @soemthingclever yay for +OPK!!!
Thank you guys for all the love and creepy internet hugs yesterday. I didn't mean to P&G but I get basically just enough reception at work that I can see but can't really post on mobile. Once I get home in the evening my computer freezes up constantly from all the responses on the thread (it might be time for a new computer). Anyways even though I'm not tagging everyone please know that I appreciate it and I am so thankful that I have you guys.

R/R: I got a just shy of positive OPK yesterday evening. I'm going to go with it because my OPK this morning was as negative as can be. Just need to get DH to HIO tonight and tomorrow night.
CS/Q: Anyone out there who has anxiety and temps? I'm thinking about starting temping next cycle especially with the cluster-f that my OPKs have been this cycle. At same time I feel like it will just open up a whole new can of worms of things to worry about and over analyze. Yes, I am fully aware that I'm already worrying and over analyzing starting to temp, which is part of the reason actually doing it kind of scares the crap out of me.
GTKY: What is the first website you open when you get online each day? The Bump, Facebook, or Questionable Content (online comic)
@Flinstone Now that you mention it, at least month I see a correlation between anxiety being worse and O. However, all this month has been particularly bad for the "you're a failure, everything is going to go wrong and we need to worry about every way it could go wrong and over analyze it, people hate you and are talking about you behind your back" feelings.
@Flinstone My anxiety is worsened by hormones for sure. I can't say it's pinpointed to a specific part of my cycle, but I do feel more anxious when I'm emotional because of hormones.
SN used to be soemthingclever Me: 28 DH: 35 Dx PCOS May 2015 Baby #1 due 12/7/17
@kariann323 I have pretty bad anxiety in general and specifically around O I get pretty anxious about making sure I have the "right" temps. I have thought about stopping temping just because of the anxiety, however not knowing or being able to confirm O actually gives me more anxiety. In a way, temping makes me feel like I am in control of my own data, whether it be good or bad. It' s like I'm doing everything I can to either a) get KU or b) give info to my doctor should that time come. The benefits outweigh the risks for me right now.
@soemthingclever good to know. Anxiety and being a woman = awful combo! haha
R/R: Having a rough day. Couldn't convince DH to HIO last night. I told him I thought O might be yesterday and he said.. well that's what you've been saying for days now. (We are on day 10 of FW.) I said there's no way to accurately predict when O is, and he said well, you should with all those tests you're doing. Between that and my being sick and DH not being able to show empathy ever just pushed me over the edge and I started getting emotional. (I must be having a surge of hormones or something because I feel like I was being a tad irrational.) I just feel bad because if yesterday was O and we didn't HIO, our timing would only be -2 and -3.. which isn't a total loss, but I've been super diligent this past month and we've been doing good at BD often that I feel like all my efforts are pointless if we end up with sucky timing at the end. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night and feeling emotionally drained today. Blah.
CS/Q: I may not have O'd yesterday (which is the silver lining to my rant above). My temp went up, but not to my usual spike temps. Could be a slow rise, but I'm still having fertile signs in the form of a small amount of EWCM and ferning. Hoping there's still time, as now we are -3 and -4 if today is O. sigh.
GTKY: What is the first website you open when you get online each day? Facebook... followed by The Bump.
@Flinstone -I have generalized anxiety/panic disorder which I've been managing pretty well for the past 9 months or so. Can't say I have seen a correlation per se to anxiety levels and O, other than I've been feeling it a little for the past few days, but I've been chalking it up to stress of the holidays, working to get our timing right, and a cold coming on. Sorry it's not much help- but maybe you are feeling it b/c of the holidays/FW? Also.. not sure what you're taking and/or how long you have been coming off meds, but I was taking Lexapro earlier this year and it took me a good two months to be able to wean off and not have residual withdrawal symptoms. At the end I was down to 5 mg (a very weak dose) and when I tried to stop I was crazy dizzy.. it was annoying. I had to halve that dose to stop the symptoms and my Dr. said I was the slowest taper he's ever seen (lol).
@crazypuglady I have been having the same exact convo with DH for like 10 days. We started BDing before CD11 because that's when I O'd last time and because I had watery CM. Now CD 20 I got EWCM and still have it today. He told me his balls were raisins and he needed a break. I'm sweating bullets trying to get as much in as I can before O actually comes! Can't believe we started so early Also, I have been off Celexa for 7 months. Longer than I have ever made it before I started. I just notice I tend to pick up insomnia/anxiety around O but truly, that could be a catch 22 with wanting good temps vs. actually having O hormone induced anxiety.
In regards to DH. I had to tell him with all the work I am doing OPKs, CM, BBT I only know enough information for that day and asked him to have patience with me because believe me, I wish I'd O'd already too. He seemed to understand when I told him it's like looking at the weather, it can change the day before, it can not rain when it says it will.. etc.
CD: 5 (thank goodness for FF, otherwise I'd only know what day I'm on for like CD1 and 2)
WAYDTGKU: being healthy, PNV, trying to have well-timed (to not get pregnant) sex
R/R: I'm super duper frustrated with the president of the local board I'm on. She's basically trying to dictate everything, opposed to letting various committees do their work. It's already blown up on her several times, and today she's trying to micromanage me. I just hate that my group has put in 2 months worth of work for her to throw it out the window.
CS/Q: **TW** Does anyone has any experiences with repeat chromosomal disorders? We didn't get the first miscarriage tested, but the dr believes it was a chromosomal issue, and we know through testing that the second one was chromosomal. When we got #2's diagnosis, they went ahead and ran both my H's and my DNA to see if we had anything funky going on and it came back normal.
We've got like 2.5 weeks until my next dr appointment with the high-risk OB, so I'm starting to develop my list of questions. Does anyone have any recommendations of questions/tests to ask the dr? I'm gonna try and post something on the TTCAL board as well and spend some time with Dr. Google, but wanted to see if anyone here had any suggestions.

Every time I tell DH we need to HIO it that night, he asks me why. UM... because I haven't O'd yet. He has been pretty compliant so far, but last night he basically told me I'd have to do a lot to inspire him... then I got all emotional later in the evening and couldn't do anything.. so we just didn't.
I'll have to explain it to him again and maybe use your wording. He will totally relate to the weather thing.. as he is a meteorologist
@crazypuglady haha wow! What a cool job. GL explaining it, hopefully he won't correct the unscientific reasoning I'm associating WTO with weather hahaha.
@Flinstone I haven't noticed that but I am going to try to pay more attention now. Sorry I can't help more! @Starla I've heard of mouth peeling and I think it's related to auto-immune something? I'm not sure but I've never had it happen. @crazypuglady I had that same scenario with DH last cycle. We ended up just having quickies mid-day which I guess was enough to get him into it. FX that you can convince DH today and that you haven't O'ed yet!
Month/Cycle: 19/9 but see below
CD:12
WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPK, BBT, HIO
R/R: I think my permanent rant this winter is going to be snow.
CS/Q: For loss ladies, do you count your loss months in your overall month/cycle of TTC? I realized yesterday that I didn't count those months.. which would put me at 11 this month and 12 when I go to the Dr in January.
GTKY: What is the first website you open when you get online each day? Unfortunately facebook. I work major parts of my business through facebook so I'm stuck with it.
***lurking*** @Starla my first thought was lichen sclerosus or lichen planus but if you're not itchy at all then it's probably not that but thought I'd mention it in case you want to look into it (without trying to freak you out )
I've missed you ladies! Between being sick and the new job (which I love - other than they monitor internet usage so no work bumping until I figure out the app), I've been MIA since Saturday... talk about withdrawal!
@Starla Yay for the last day of work before the holidays! As for your question - no idea, but do you have general allergies to things with fragrance? I would imagine that your vag would be extra sensitive, so that totally makes sense - but again, complete speculation.
@soemthingclever Keeping my FX for you! I also don't O until late (usually CD20 or so), so I feel you with feeling left behind over here
@crazypuglady Sorry for the month rollover, and that it was such a rough day in general. FX that O is today since you still have other fertile signs, and that you and DH can have amazing, make-up, baby-making, mind-blowing sex!
@Tennis11785 I don't have anything to add for questions, but wanted to say GL at your appointment in the new year - FX they figure out what's been happening

WAYDTGKU: BBT/CM charting, PNV, OPKs, herbs, teas
R/R: I'm so happy to be back! Also - I am SO happy at my new job; it was such a good move for me. The only rant I have right now is that they monitor internet usage, so I don't feel like I should be on the bump even over lunch... which means I am going to have to start mobile bumping, which doesn't sound fun (although I've taken mental notes - copy to 'notes' before posting to avoid the app eating the post, and don't plan on tagging haha)
CS/Q: nah - it's a bit messy now because DH and I were super sick with either food poisoning or a 24 hour bug - so I had a fever for a couple of days, and was dehydrated and too weak to check CM if there was any. My temp still seems a bit rocky, which I blame DH for because he's still been tossing and turning, so I haven't been sleeping as well.
GTKY: What is the first website you open when you get online each day? Either the bump or the weather
@Flinstone Girl, I almost always ovulate after CD20. Keep up the hire and the will to HIO. I know it's frustrating. FX you O soon!
@crazypuglady Sorry about not getting to HIO yesterday. Try not to stress out too much over it. I know how you feel though. DH finally uttered the words "is starting to feel like a chore." Come on, it's only cycle 3! Also love your screename, because I'm one myself.
@Tennis11785 Most miscarriages are caused by genetic defects, which could be either a small mutation in an essential gene or a larger chromosomal defect. Typically in testing of the miscarried baby, they can only look for the larger defects because you can essentially see them in a microscope. The smaller mutations you would have to sequence the entire genome, which just isn't very feasible in this case. With repeat losses, there is a chance either you or your husband could carry mutations that could be indicators of what's going on (something heritable). The is a chance that if you both have mutations in the same gene (but remember you would also have a normal copy, since you are alive), there is about a 25% chance the baby inherited both bad copies. But most likely it's just a random mutation in the sperm or egg.
R/R: Well I had a BFN @12DPO so I knew AF was coming. I am trying to look on the bright-side and focus on my short cycles, hopefully I will be O'ing and get another shot at getting knocked up right around New Years.
CS/Q: CD1, most boring chart ever...I also had a scary dream where I died which woke me up abruptly and I forgot to temp. Guess today was the best day that could have happened, temp-wise.
GTKY: What is the first website you open when you get online each day? Reddit (shame)
@spiderlover25 I also wondered about the count. I've been ignoring the month thing, so mine is actually the total months TTC then how many after the loss. I also excluded the anovulatory cycle I had the second cycle after my loss. But I also wondered how the year thing works, because we started our TTC journey 7 months ago.
@Sailing_Mama welcome back! I too have trouble keeping up with TB at work (I think that's a full time job itself!). I finally joined in from lurking since I started taking the bus into work, which is my bump time.

@Starla You're talking about actual vagina and not vulva? Is skin like, sloughing off? Do you douche? Look up bacterial vaginosis maybe... If vulva is peeling, it might be a reaction to your soap.

WAYDTGKU: preseed, OPKs, omg, temping
R/R: DH and I decided to BD like crazy this cycle. Normally we HIO EOD for about a week around FW. So this month, we are actually HIO EOD, using preseed every time. Ordered the economy size pack of "injectors" *TW* Also, DH will occasionally (like monthly) bring up how people get drunk and pregnant from one night stands all the time and why is it so hard for us? I had to tell him that it hurts me and to cut it out, which he was very receptive to, so that's good.

@kariann323 Re: Temping and anxiety-I have found that temping has increased my anxiety and worry and time spent obsessing over TTC in general, because it gives you so much more data to critique (that chart tho!), but Flinstone really nailed the whole devil/angel on the shoulder aspect of it. I am gonna keep at it for cycle 4 and re-evaluate after that.
@flinstone Your DH's raisin comment made me snort...Our DH's, we ask them FOR so much, the poor dears! (eyeroll)
@spiderlover25 & @icecubeinthedesert I've been doing full total/months AL and I skipped the 4 months we had off (we started in August of 2015, yikes...)
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, CoQ10, not temping this cycle, waiting for AF to leave
R/R: *poor, spoiled, woe is me rant. Feel free to skip** H and I have an ongoing fight about letting me sleep in. He works late hours so gets to sleep in every day. Between work & running, I don't get to as often. I need sleep. I need to recharge. I know when we have a kid, I'll lose that but for now I need sleep. In the mornings, if I'm alone (when H is out of town or with his old job) our puppy lets me sleep in. But when we're together, she tries to wake H up. I'm an extremely light sleeper and it's hard for me to go back to sleep. So I get so mad and argue that he needs to just get up with her and quietly go downstairs. But today he was petting her for a while. Then went to the bathroom & was playing with her on the bed. And I'm still in a bad mood about not being KU. So I sat up and was glaring at him. He made a sarcastic comment and said he was going to the store anyways. So now I'm sure we're going to pissy at each other for the rest of the day.
CS/Q: right before bed last night, I decided not to set my alarm to temp. Since I'm on break from school, I won't be waking up at my normal time and this way I won't have to get up just to temp. Plus I have races every weekend in January so that would throw off my temps. I decided that if there was ever going to be a month not to temp, this is it.
Q--I'm going to call today to make an appt with my OB for February since that will be my 6 month mark. Who do I make an appt with for H to get a SA?
GTKY: What is the first website you open when you get online each day? Facebook
@Flinstone My GAD is definitely affected by hormones, but I notice that I tend to get worse immediately after O. I am always a mess for the 2-3 days following.
@KariAnn323 My first month temping was stressful, but once I got through that first cycle and realized that I was able to clearly see a shift I was able to calm down. Now temping actually seems to help alleviate some of my anxiety by allowing me to feel a little more in control of everything. The biggest thing is going to be not focusing on individual temps. That is what I kept doing in the beginning of my first cycle and it was driving me crazy. You have to just stick to the big picture!!

R/R: This is me today:
Looks like my cd15 O was a fakeout. I usually O on CD15 and there I was, the morning of a nice temp dip, so much ewcm it was gross, everything except O pain. CD16, a temp spike. Great! Then yesterday a fall -- fallback rise? I've had that before, no problem. But today, we are even lower, and the EWCM continues. I am distraught. We are at my parents' and snuck in 0 and -1 for CD15, but now with other family here we are sharing a room with my brother yesterday and today which precludes anything if it's today. So basically this whole cycle went from "great timing given the situation" to "no chance whatsoever, see you at the RE's in January you idiot." I wanted to cry when I saw my temp this morning.
I terrified myself about this since I didn't have O pain on cd15 and now here we are. Ugh. Dying.

@starla I have not had that happen. sorry it doesn't sound like much fun @crazypuglady hugs @Tennis11785 TW** as @icecubeinthedesert said my understanding is most early losses are attributed to chromosomal abnormalities. and that its not considered to be a problem unless you have repeated losses (more than 3..) Though I cant imagine 3 losses, one was more than enough) I do have a good friend who started TTC the same time I did the first time around she had 3 early losses before a successful term preg, a second loss at 4mo PP and is nearly term with her second baby. I don't think she ended up pursuing an OB. I have another friend who has had a loss before each of her 4 successful pregnancies... so as much as it sucks early loss is not uncommon.

Hoping there's still time, as now we are -3 and -4 if today is O. sigh.

In regards to DH. I had to tell him with all the work I am doing OPKs, CM, BBT I only know enough information for that day and asked him to have patience with me because believe me, I wish I'd O'd already too. He seemed to understand when I told him it's like looking at the weather, it can change the day before, it can not rain when it says it will.. etc.

DD2 born 9/10/17
@Starla my first thought was lichen sclerosus or lichen planus but if you're not itchy at all then it's probably not that but thought I'd mention it in case you want to look into it (without trying to freak you out )
@Flinstone Yay for a positive OPK!!!

@Tennis11785 TW** as @icecubeinthedesert said my understanding is most early losses are attributed to chromosomal abnormalities. and that its not considered to be a problem unless you have repeated losses (more than 3..) Though I cant imagine 3 losses, one was more than enough) I do have a good friend who started TTC the same time I did the first time around she had 3 early losses before a successful term preg, a second loss at 4mo PP and is nearly term with her second baby. I don't think she ended up pursuing an OB. I have another friend who has had a loss before each of her 4 successful pregnancies... so as much as it sucks early loss is not uncommon. At least you and DH had genetics done and nothing popped. end TW
