Pearl - too old fashioned?

Hi there!  I was looking through some genealogy records and found a relative named Pearl. I just fell in love with the name, but I wonder if people will find it too old fashioned.  I have a daughter named Rose, so I'd also love thoughts on how well Rose and Pearl go together as a sibling name set.

I don't find Pearl too old fashioned. 

I'm not super fond of it with Rose (both being nouns), but that's more me being picky than anything else.

I agree that it's a little odd as a pair with Rose but I think it's the type of old fashioned name that would fit in nicely today.

Love it! Both Rose and Pearl are on my short list. We are 90% sure we are going with Ada, though, if this baby is a girl.

Pearl is absolutely beautiful.

Pearl, to be honest, is quite refreshing to hear amongst a sea of Avas, Emmas, Ainsleys, and all of the other trendy names right now.  Being old-fashioned is never a bad thing

I love Pearl!  If my name wasn't Beryl (pronounced like Pearl with a b) I would definitely be pushing for it.

I like it!  It's a pretty, old fashioned name plus it is a beautiful natural element and the title of Janis Joplin's amazing album too.  Ha huge Janis fan over here so I love it.  Nice!
