After 12 days in hospital bedrest, our daughter was born today at 24 weeks.
I started contracting around 2am despite being on several meds. They gave me two shots of terb and started mag again but the contractions just wouldn't stop and I started bleeding heavily. When the doctor checked me I was 6 cem dilated, my water was bulging but not broken and her FEET were in the sack but already outside of my cervix.
I was rushed up for an emergency c-section. Ansley Hope weighs 1 lb 12 oz and is 13 inches long. She's a little figher. She's not breathing as well as we would hope but they are able to manage it. She also needs med to regular her BP. Unfortunately her clavical was fractured during delivery too. All things considered, she's doing well.
I'm super thankful for this epidural. Im not in much pain and other than a little high blood pressure, I'm doing good too.
After they got her stable, they wheeled her in to recovery so I could see her for a couple minutes. She's sooooooo tiny. Like a little baby doll. I was told I should be able to go see her sometime this evening so long as my vitals are stable.
Please pray for our tiny precious girl!! Here is a picture of my little love.
I probably won't be posting here much but we did set up a FB page a few days ago to share information with family and friends. It's www.facebook.com/andthencameansley

Me 29 I DH 28 Married in April 2007 One Furbaby - Adorable Pitt Mix 15 Months TTC....2nd Cycle of Letrozole - Success! Expecting our first two little miracles - Boy/Girl Twins! - EDD March 3, 2017 High Risk Pregnancy - Type 1 Diabetic; Hypothyroidism; Di/Di Twin Pregnancy
Congratulations on your little miracle!!! I just wanted to chime in and say that your baby is in good hands and it's AMAZING what doctors can do to help preemies thrive these days. My sister had her baby at 25 weeks back in August - she was 1 lb 7 oz and not even a foot long. She also had breathing difficulties, but they were managed with a respirator. After a few months in the NICU, she is now home, almost 9 lbs (she even has a double chin and little fat rolls on her legs!), and breastfeeding like a champ. Other than the possibility that she may need glasses when she's older, the doctors do not think she will have any lasting complications from her early birth. Just wanted to share a positive preemie story
Hang in there! Life as a NICU parent is tough (from what I witnessed with my sister), but NICU nurses and doctors are amazing people. Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family!
Congrats!!!! So glad you both are doing well, all things considered! I'll be keeping you and your family in my prayers! She is a beautiful miracle baby and you both are so strong!!
Congratulations! I am praying hard for little Ansley. And I want to echo the anecdotes above--one of my cousins was born that premature and she is now a healthy, totally normal, awesome 27-year-old. Think of all the medical advances since then! They will help Ansley thrive too
