How far along are you? 6 weeks! 

How big is baby? a sweet pea or a popping firecracker (according to one app)

Upcoming appointments this week? I have my first ultrasound next Monday. FX for good news!

Any new symptoms or changes? TMI, but there are weird bumps that have showed up on my areola and base of my nipples. From what I've read, they're supposed to be there...they just look a little gnarly.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I've been trying to get my work computer to boot correctly for 30 minutes. I'm starting to get angry.

GTKY: Were you born in the same town where you grew up? I was born in Louisville, KY, and moved around a lot until we moved to Northern VA when I was 10. I consider Northern VA where I really grew up and I think it's definitely shaped who I am because I was exposed to so many different cultures.

Upcoming appointments this week? My first appointment and ultrasound is not until 12/21. 

Any new symptoms or changes? Exhaustion and gas/bloat. I've also had the let-down sensation in my breasts a few times that I remember from breast-feeding my daughter. I didn't have any symptoms with her until I was 6 weeks but they've started early this time!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I hate waking up in the morning. Like every day I hat snooze at least 5 times. I've never been a morning person, but this fatigue is making it ten times worse.

GTKY: Were you born in the same town where you grew up? 
I was born in Kansas City and lived there until I was 4 before moving to a rural community about 100 miles away.

Upcoming appointments this week?
Nope nothing. My first appointment is at 8 weeks so 12/14 will be u/s and we'll discuss the non-evasive genetic testing at that point 
Any new symptoms or changes?
No same - cramping, thirsty AF all the time, exhausted at night
Rants/Raves/Questions?
I know im being cheap but pending any dr conversations I'm going to try to wait until the new year for the genetic testing because I want to work towards my 2017 deductible rather than my 2016 deductible which I still haven't met.

Upcoming appointments this week? Nope. Not for a couple more weeks. 

Any new symptoms or changes? Just that my symptoms are intensifying. I slept for 11 hours last night and I would have kept sleeping this morning if I didn't force myself out of bed. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? So, I know that my first prenatal appointment is going to involve looking at my health, H's health, and family history of genetic disorders. H was born with multiple cardiac defects, so I know that there is a possibility that I'll be referred for a fetal echo. Should I bring copies of his medical record from when he was a baby with me to that first appointment, or is that overkill? We're still a few weeks away, as I said earlier, but I need time to go through everything and find what I need. 

GTKY: Were you born in the same town where you grew up? Yes, I grew up in a suburban town, and went to college in the closest major city, which was about an hour away. Once I graduated I moved three hours away. I love where I live now... the place that I grew up was very homogenized (i.e., white and Christian), and I really appreciate the exposure to so many different religions and cultures in my current area.

How far along are you? 4 weeks---finally! I found out I was pregnant 8 days ago! I wish LMP matched ovulation

Upcoming appointments this week? Haven't even called to make an appointment yet. Have to get on that. 

Any new symptoms or changes? Still not really feeling much of anything. Going to bed a little earlier but that's about it. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm so tired of having to think of what to make for dinner every day. And tired of making dinner. Bah.

Rants/Raves/Questions?  I'm not really into pumpkin flavored everything (maybe I should save that for fffc  ) but I decided to try making pumpkin bread for the first time and it turned out amazing!! I ate most of it before MH got home hehe

GTKY: Were you born in the same town where you grew up?  I was born in a small town in California....and I still live here. I guess this place has a  way of sucking you in.

Had my appointment today. Happy to see baby but they said heartbeat was a bit low at 96bpm so they want me to come back in two weeks.
Any new symptoms or changes?
No symptoms. Changes

Rants/Raves/Questions?
Anxious about the heart beat but my MIL whose a retired OB reassured me that it is still early to rely on the heartbeat at this point, also apparently I have a tilted uterus so they were having trouble getting a good picture even with an internal!
GTKY: Were you born in the hsame town where you grew up?
I was born and raised in Boston and moved to Ireland for college. I moved back and then to a nearby town last year.

Any new symptoms or changes? Just a ton of nausea and throwing up. Kicked up the end of last week and every morning when I wake up I throw up regardless and just don't want to eat anything it all sounds gross

Rants/Raves/Questions? Just cooked thanksgiving for my office (I'm a private chef) which was tiring but fun as always! Although the smells were not right now 

GTKY: Were you born in the same town where you grew up? Nope I moved a ton when I was growing up. But for the most part I grew up in Texas

@lfk2013 - I have those weird bumps too! Apparently they help with latching/making your boob taste better. They are only on my left right now...

@spk112 I would say it's probably overkill for the first appointment especially since none of that would be visible in the US then. I would definitely make of list of things you want to talk about and mention what records you have so they can make the call for what they want to review

@satsumasandlemons seriously the wait to 4 weeks dragged almost as long as my wait for the BFP (which appeared at 9 DPO. 17 DPO finally made 4 weeks). But I guess my baby will be measuring ahead on US which will be nice

@spk112 I agree with JAM probably overkill. Especially since they likely will be sending you to a specialist for that anyway. Definitely mention it. You could bring the records to the specialist when that referral is made. 

@JAM85 Is it messed up I'm now avoiding those TW posts? I have a history of miscarriage and I'm really trying to be positive and really don't need anything bringing my anxiety to the surface.

Wait let me get this straight - I was wondering about this the other day - if the us measurement dates a few days ahead, does that mean earlier implantation?

Upcoming appointments this week? None. No appointment until 11/30. Still so far away!

Any new symptoms or changes? Been craving fried chicken and wings. Nausea usually starting around 7pm (just in time for dinner!). And even more exhausted than before...which I didn't think was possible 

Rants/Raves/Questions? Trying to figure out how to ease my mind before my appointment in a few weeks. Seeing all these posts about miscarriage has me thinking about it a lot (although I have had no symptoms of it at all) 

GTKY: Were you born in the same town where you grew up? Nope. Born in Minneapolis, moved to Virginia when I was 2, moved to North Carolina when I was 7, moved to Connecticut when I was 14. I say I grew up and am from Connecticut (did all of high school there). Now living in Colorado!

@yellow1daisy not at all I had a very early loss the month right before this cycle I conceived so I am a lot more nervous than I was with DD.

Wait let me get this straight - I was wondering about this the other day - if the us measurement dates a few days ahead, does that mean earlier implantation? 

I guess it could. My daughter always measured nearly a week ahead of LMP and I think it was a combination of early implantation and the fact that I ovulated on day 11 of my cycle. This time I ovulated day 12. Their calculations assume standard day 14 ovulation. 

@JAM85 fingers crossed for your ultrasound. But based on your symptoms sounds like everything is just fine
