Sciatic pain!

I am having a good amount of sciatic pain already and I'm only 7w4d! Ugh, I was not expecting this to rear its ugly head for at least a few more weeks like with my DD. Anyone else dealing with this?

I had it in my first pregnancy but much later. I'd talk to your doctor. Mine sent me for physical therapy and that helped a lot, plus they taught me a lot of stretches to do at home that also helped.

I had it pretty bad with my son. Partly due to the fact that I had scoliosis spinal fusion when I was 13 so I've kinda always dealt with it. I tried a chiropractor and it did not help me. Might help others though. I used a lot of Icy Hot which my doctor said was fine. Also slept with a heating pad.

Oh man! That's horrible that it's started so early on! Look online for stretches you can do, chirp, massage, foam roller. Sleep with lots of pillows!

Google sciatic stretches. They'll make all the difference. Mine flares up at times completely unrelated to pregnancy.

Thanks, ladies! I'm actually currently going through physically therapy to straighten out my neck and spine from my first baby. I have another appointment on Thursday so I'll DEFINITELY be bringing it up!

With my DD, I didn't get sciatic pain until about 30+ weeks; with my DS, it started at 9 weeks and was BRUTAL.

PT and chiro definitely helped, but I found they were more effective when combined with massage therapy. I would also give that a try!
