Pregnant after IF

Movie/Book TW - Girl on a Train

I was over on the IF board and apparently this movie talks about IVF and can be very upsetting (for obvious reasons.) I know we are on this side of things right now, but I just wanted to get the warning posted over here too. I still am very affected by stories of IF and IVF and I probably wouldn't like to see this movie. Has anyone seen it?

I haven't seen it, but I did read the book.  I really enjoyed it, but did get teary eyed in parts for the main character.

  • I read the book and saw the movie and I love both! But yes there are triggers. Not just for IF and IVF, but also tragic infant loss. It is definitely something to avoid if you are triggered by these things! But on the other hand, it is also a great story if you love the mystery/thriller genre!

  • I read the book and saw the movie too . I cried during both . I still very much enjoyed both but the mention of IVF was upsetting to me . I would have been even more upset if I was still struggling .

  • That's a good point @mskeenan. I'm realizing now that I read the book before we started TTC, and watched the movie after getting a BFP. I'm not sure how I would've reacted if I saw the movie in the middle of our IVF cycle.
