Thinking of you! Our little early bird was born 11 days ago at 32+2. I was having contractions and then my water broke so we hung out for a couple of days in the hospital before things got real. He is kicking @$$ and taking names in the NICU now and amazes us every day. I know you're terrified but try to trust in your doctors and nurses and stay as calm as possible. Preemies are STRONG (and so are their mamas). Xoxo.
Still pregnant! Today makes 33w5d so one step closer to the goal of 35 weeks. Contractions are still three minutes apart but dilation had stalled at last check and Kai's heart rate is strong other than a few scary dips. We will get an u/s today to check his fluid levels because I'm still leaking, but he seems to be refilling his sac like a champ The nurses here are amazing, I seriously couldn't ask for better care. I'm taking names and sending in some sort of thank you when this is all over. They have given me Nubane (sp) to help with pain and sleep the last two nights, so I got a glorious 5 hours last night! Thanks for all the kind words @swhiddon33 So happy to hear that your little man is doing so well! Those little babies are pretty amazing!
OMG @JessCL, Your story is incredible-You and Kai are in my thoughts. Are you on total bedrest? Nicu is hard on the baby and pumping colostrum is also hard, but my baby was almost breathing on his own and he only had time for one steroid shot for his lungs. You and your baby will be OK and we are all rooting for you guys!

Wow I miss a lot when I don't bump over the weekend! SO many positive thoughts sent your way @JessCL! Sounds like you're making good decisions and doing what needs to be done. Keep it up!!!
They gave me pitocin (sp?) and mechanically dialated me. Honestly the blown up catheter being pulled through my cervix was worse than them inducing contractions. I finally had an epidural at 7cm because it took 10 hours to get my labor advanced that far. It's rough not going to lie but child birth isn't a picnic to begin with. Best of luck to you.
Congratulations! Kai is absolutely adorable! I'm so sorry you both are still having to deal with tough medical procedures. Hope everything comes back clear and recovery goes smoothly from here on out.
