Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Monday 10/17

Re: TWW Monday 10/17

  • Month/Cycle: 10/8

    CD/DPO: 31/14

    Timing: good

Testing: Tested on Saturday with a  BFN, but still no signs of AF, trying to hold out for either AF or Friday.

R/R: Really just odd information, but my college roommate  and I often have experiences that happen at the same time, even when we are in different states. For example, one Easter break, we both got speeding tickets on the same day, going the same speed while driving to our parents' houses (mine in NY and hers in NJ).  Last month AF was 5 days late for the both of us, and this month we are both the same number of days late as well. The world is mysterious sometimes.

CS/Q: I recently just started temping, when you get a drop in temp for AF, how much of a drop is it typically?  I know it probably changes person to person, but like 0.1 or more like  0.4?

GTKY: Do you have a dream car that you want to own? What is it? I want a big fat black Escalade! But  I recently just bought a big black Honda Pilot and I am in love with it, so I'll settle that it is my dream car. We have three dogs and family and friends in all different states so we are constantly driving! We needed the extra room.

@osucma  I test drove the Mazda 9 before I bought my pilot and it drove the smoothest of all the cars I test drove! Couldn't feel a bump in the road!
@slavenski all your food you cooked sounds amazing~!
    @KhRun17  sorry for CD1
@peachy13 I hear ya  with the SS. I have always been hyper aware of my body and changes and its so hard not to go down that twisty path of BSC. I have had all of the same symptoms for like a week now. And nothing no BFP or AF.
@laurad75  Awesome about the Britney show! I bet she will be amazing.

  • @willrunforwine21 I agree that Cd13 looks likelier based on temps. Remind me, have you temped previous cycles? If so, where was your coverline? They shouldn't vary much from month to month so if this one is notably higher, that lends credence to Cd13.

Another question, do you usually have EWCM or just watery? I often get fertile CM around O (including after) so it wouldn't seem unusual to me that you continued to see watery after O, though I completely agree with @britters314 that they don't line up nicely enough that there's a 100% day.

Plus side, you definitely ovulated at some point... :)

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 20/5

    Timing: -1

Testing: I'm going to test 10/23 and every day until AF (10/27)

R/R: Working, lots of stress with work this week.  Nothing out of the ordinary, just hopeful for some implantation spotting tomorrow or Wednesday.

    CS/Q: N/A

GTKY: Do you have a dream car that you want to own? What is it?  Not really!  I'm driving my second Jeep and I'm pretty happy with them!
  • @adirat @britters314 Thank you so much. I have only temped one other cycle, the coverline was 97.2 and pattern was pretty textbook though post O temps hovered around 97.8 so that is also different (though i know there is often variability). In 4 months of checking CM I think I have seen true EWCM exactly one time (internal and external), typically I just observe creamy and wet. I guess yay for an actual O but the BD pattern is much more favorable for CD16, than 13... but I took what I could for the flu-ish fertile window

DH SA: 12/16: borderline low, count and motility

7/17: second IUI, 2.5 letrozole, OPK, IUI: 1 follie, BFN (count 9.5 million swimming- dont know percentage)
    8/17: third IUI, 5.0 letrozole,

  • @adirat sorry for the BFN but as others said, it's early and there is still hope!  Thanks for making me realize that if I get KU'd before Thanksgiving or Christmas, I have to deal with my ILs without alcohol...crap!  I LOL'd reading that you don't know what kind of car you even have. :)

@GeorgiaWife6912 DD is 28 mos old and we get the same question a lot about when we will turn her.  I have only a couple reasons for turning a toddler, 1) they get car sick being rear facing, and 2) they are over the weight limit for that seat being rear facing.  I 100% agree there are factors you cannot control such as other drivers so why not do the safest, proven, things for your child(ren)!  Drives me crazy!  I'm also sending you a PM about a grandma around town with her 2.5 yr old grandson.

@Sugargirl1019 that's a late state fair but I guess Texas stays warm so you have more options.  Have fun!  Also, love that car!

@WillRunForWine21 I agree with what the others have stated that CD13 does seem more likely.  Your CL is super high to me so I'm also factoring that in.  I'll let you know if I find out anything more about temps from cycle to cycle besides what others are responding on here.  I also LOL'd at your GTKY answer :)

@JuneRoseRuby that's crazy about your college roommate.  Maybe you're long lost twins?  I've only been temping for two cycles so take this answer with a grain of salt, my temp dropped significantly (.5-.6) over two days last month when AF was on her way.

  • @bumpybump Yeah holidays with alcohol are a real silver lining here... And lol yeah I know nothing about cars. My husband had the car when we got married and it is very much his car. (I commute to work by train.)

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 20/6

    Timing: -4, -2, -1, 0

Testing: 12dpo (Sunday) I think unless I get cold feet

R/R: this virus is really bringing me down and hopefully today is the worst day. I feel like a truck ran over me

CS/Q: I haven't taken any medication because I have been too worried it might effect anything during this period. Am I just being crazy? I have basically assumed I should only be taking what I would if I were hypothetically pregnant except no tylenol other than the baby aspirin I take

GTKY: Do you have a dream car that you want to own? What is it?

honestly I never think about it but if I was going to probably just a new forester or outback but one with all the goodies including a roof rack for our kayaks

  • @adirat, sorry for the BFN, hopefully it's just too early! And if it's not our cycle, we'll hang out in the TTA thread lol

@GeorgiaWife6912 sorry for the BFNs :(

@theweevee hopefully you feel better soon.

also, I hate when my husband symptoms spots for me! Anytime I mention anything he's all "maybe you're pregnant!" and then it just makes me sadder when I get a BFN.

@britters314 , that is some bike! nice!!

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD/DPO: 23/7

    Timing: -4, -2, -1

    Testing: next Sunday (13 dpo)

R/R:  we got our first blue apron box today! I'm looking forward to trying this stuff out

    CS/Q: nothing to see here

GTKY: Do you have a dream car that you want to own? What is it?
Hmm I don't know much about cars, but when we get our second car I'd like an SUV. I like bigger cars and also we need 4-wheel drive around these parts

@bumpybump Thankfully DH isn't over 6' (5'10" ish) but that is a concern of mine. I plan on extended rear facing until at least 3. If we are KU by the time we get the Jeep (which FX b/c that won't be until next summer) I will take the convertible seat we will get to test it out. Our plan as of now is that DH will drive the Ford Focus and I'll drive the Jeep once we outgrow the Focus as a family car which I expect to happen quickly because I highly doubt an extended rear facing car seat like the Clek Foonf or a Diono will fit. I've even thought of not using an infant seat and going straight to a convertible A)if it's safe for baby (obviously) and B) depending on the season (not if it's a winter EDD). I put a lot of thought into safety lol. IF we are KU before we go car shopping next summer, I honestly think we should just go straight for an SUV or mini van but DH really wants that Jeep and I'm still paying on my Ford Focus. We currently share the Focus since A) our apartment only allows one car, B) I walk to work in less than 10 minutes, C) We live in one of the largest cities in South Korea so no need for 2 cars

@GeorgiaWife6912 Honestly the stress of finding and having to use a sitter is the reason I want to be a SAHM.

@BrambleRose I really can't offer ideas on how to not POAS, but I was going to test this weekend and realize that I'll only be CD24 on Friday so at most 9ish DPO (not tracking this month).

@Britters314 I hear the Taga is awesome!

@Mrs_Jp Being short has it's benefits I guess! haha DH says I sit way too close to the steering wheel but we can fit adults in the back seat of our Focus with no problem since we don't need too much room ourselves. It does stink though that the LATCH system is on the outboard seats and not the middle one where it's the safest and getting a secure fit with a seatbelt can be difficult. (eta) Difficult because our middle seat is slightly humped because it's a compact sedan and the middle isn't a full size seat.

  • @slavenski sounds like you e thought it through. And convertible car seats are safe for newborns as long as they meet the weight reqs

  • @bumpybump There are too many options. I'm not even KU and it already overwhelms me. My thing with infant seats is that a) they get heavy real fast and b) I'm scared of the whole cutting of airways with the straps if the baby is left in the seat too long thing. I feel like if the car seat never leaves the car then that risk goes down but they are still safe in the car so that risk doesn't change. I've seen so many moms leave their infants in infant carriers for naps because LO fell asleep in the car and they don't want to wake them, but all it took was one news article of a tragic accident at a daycare where the baby was napping in the carseat to make be not want an infant carrier.

  • Month/Cycle: 12/10

    CD/DPO: 27/6...maybe

    Timing: -1, +1

Testing: Maybe Fri at my Dr apt, or Sat if CD1 hasn't arrived before then.

R/R: I'm at a total loss as to what is going on this cycle.  Normally, I have at least a pretty good idea of what's going on. I had some super light spotting today, and the BSC ss portion of my brain was like,  "ooo, implantation bleeding!"  Then the more cynical portion of my brain took over and decided that it was just CD1 starting early, and my chart is utterly useless thanks to the week I was sick, and I'm just over it.   It would be early for CD1 for me, but not unheard of.  However, that means that FF is wrong, I didn't O on CD21, and this was probably an anovulatory cycle.  Sigh.

    CS/Q: No.

GTKY: Do you have a dream car that you want to own? What is it?
Umm, I don't really have a dream car, H takes care of the car obsession for both of us.  I do really like the totally impractical 2 door Mercedes AMGs though.

    @khrun17 - Sorry for CD1. :(

@laurad75 - Have fun at Britney!!!

@BrambleRose - I have faith, you can hold out!

@adirat - I second everyone else, and am going with "it's too early!"  I will have all my fingers and toes crossed for you!!  However, a hopping November TTA thread and drinking at Thanksgiving is an okay second place.

@RunRestRepeat - I also had (...have...) crazy cycles.  I was on extended cycle BC for pain reasons for wwwaaayyyy too long.  I went through probably 9 months with 35-40 day cycles with a shorter 26-28 day cycle every third cycle.  I have irregular cycles, so take that for what it's worth, but I can sympathize with the extra dose of crazy when first coming off of BC.

I'm sure that I have more to tag, but TB hates my computer, or my computer hates TB, who knows and getting even this much on here has been an exercise in extreme patience.
  • Thanks, @zwink1! I hope your cycle figures itself out soon. I'm totally right there with you on bouncing between BSC and cynical.
