GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger?
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
R/R: (just a spoiler since it's long and I learned how to do it yesterday)
R/R: So apparently my DH has no idea how pregnancy works. Three days ago, I came home and told him I had good and bad news. Good - finally got approved for STDI. Bad news - I ovulated early and we DTD twice in the fertile window when we were TTA. He didn't seem bothered and said, "You'll get pregnant when you get pregnant." Last night I asked him if he wanted to do it since I already ovulated. He said, "I thought that means you can get pregnant." So now I realize he still doesn't understand that I was telling him I could have gotten pregnant already from the sex we already had. He thought I was saying it was bad news that I ovulated because then we had to TTA for the next few days instead of that it was too late. So now I explain to him that we can do it because the FW is over and I might already be KU anyway. He asks, "What happens next? Your period?" and I had to tell him again that I can take a test in a week or two or AF will show. He is usually so smart, but he doesn't get it.
CS/Q: Nope. this is the first month where my PO temps have been slow and steadily rising instead of rising mountains!
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger?
March 5 is my birthday. When I was younger, I shared it with my twin and we sometimes had a friend party. When I was in college, I celebrated at my small school with friends and then partied at my sister's university that weekend or the next. Now most of my friends are teachers and either it's our spring break / theirs and people are on vacation or everyone is hopping around to the different towns' early St. Patty's Day parades. Winter birthdays can be just as bad as summer because people don't want to leave their houses when it's cold. Between my family and DH's, I think we have 7 March Bdays, so his family does a combined get together. They repeat it in May, July, and September because there are clusters.

Hello, friends!! @NYTino24, sorry that you DH isn't getting it. I know that must be frustrating.
Month/Cycle: 4/4
CD/DPO: 15/3
Timing: -3, -1, 1 (tried hard for 0 but DH wasn't having any of it)
Testing: probably next Sunday at 12dpo
R/R: I'm here! Oh, and it's Friday! I've been so GD busy at work that I'll probably have to work some over the weekend.
CS/Q: nadda!
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? December 6! I always had a party with my friends when I was younger. last year I was in Spain for my 30th, so it's kinda hard to top that one! We usually just go out for dinner like an old married couple!
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
@NYTino24 yay for disability being approved. Is there a window of time you need to be on it for first before you can use it? Also fellow twin here!
Month/Cycle: 8/8
CD/DPO: 23/8
Timing: -3,-1,0
Testing: nope
R/R: so glad it's Friday! Have been so exhausted this week so I'm glad the weekend is here to be able to relax a little! rant- since I've been so tired I've temped late the past two days, ah well!
CS/Q: none
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? 6/24, I also have a twin so me and my brother have always celebrated together, actually we still do. DH is very close with my brother and my brothers fiancé was my roommate in college so we all have mutual friends which has always been nice! I love being close to family!
@beachbunnyxo123 For pregnancy there is a preexisting condition clause meaning that you are disqualified from collecting if you get pregnant before it takes effect or within the first 30 days. It would be so Murphy's Law if I got KU from a fluke early ovulation. I don't consider myself a speshul snowflake though, so I'm not counting on it. It would just be funny! PS my twin texted me yesterday that she had a dream I was pregnant with b/g twins (which is what DH's aunt and uncle are). It's weird because I had a dream she was pregnant with a girl and two days later I got a pic of two pink lines for our birthday - and it was a girl!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
R/R: Rant: Even though it's completely irrational, I feel like I'm already out for this cycle after the disappointment of last cycle. Rave: Our puppy didn't wake us up in the middle of the night barking so I got a decent night's sleep!
CS/Q: not at this time
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? My birthday is November 23. When I was a kid, we would have family b-day parties; which was basically my grandma coming over and we would do cake and ice cream. From kindergarten all the way through high school, there was always another (more popular) girl that had the same b-day as me so nobody would remember mine. Now, if we do anything, DH might take me out to dinner but that would generally be it.

@BertieMeetsGertie what a fun way to spend your 30th! I hope I get to do something that exciting for mine.

Timing: pretty good
Testing: all bfns including this morning
R/R: I'm so frustrated waiting on af. I'm actually having a hard time with the whole ttc this month. I talked to DH about it yesterday reassuring myself that I need to stop comparing myself to my friends or other women who already started having kids at my age. It's hard not to compare yourself though even if you tell yourself not to. It's like I do it subconsciously before I can even catch myself. So frustrating.
CS/Q: nope
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? My birthday is in about a month and a half away. I actually have more fun with my birthdays now that I'm an adult because I get to choose exactly what I want to do that day. Normally it's outdoors stuff like camping or going sight seeing out of town.
R/R: I just got my audit list af work today so at least that will keep me busy the second half of the TWW! It's the little things...
CS/Q:
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? i am a summer baby - End of June - So I'm starting to sound like a real party animal with these GTKY's but I assure you I am super boring now lol. When I was single and before DS, I lived down the shore year-round; for my birthday, my friends and I would rent a cabana at our favorite shore bar and dance the night away. It was always a good time. My sister also makes crazy cakes so for my 30th birthday (last birthday before I met OH), she made me this 50 shades of Grey Cake (pic below) While those birthdays were always fun, I prefer how I celebrate now which is I take the day off from work and we have a family day with DS, OH and I. This year we went to sesame place!
R/R: good luck to everyone testing tomorrow!!!! I hope we get a ton of BFPs!
CS/Q:
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? july 15. I usually go out to dinner with my family and some friends, nothing fancy. The only times I really did anything special were milestone bdays (18, 21..)
R/R: It's Friday!! Thank you for all the love tits and mentions yesterday. Y'all are the sweetest. Yesterday was better and hopefully today will top it. Still feeling very meh about this cycle but nothing I can do about it now.
CS/Q:
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? I love birthdays!! My birthday is January 9th. I love that it's so close to the Holidays and the New Year. It helps cushion the end of holidays depression. Growing up my parents' always took the tree down on the 2nd or 3rd. I use to beg for them to keep it up until my birthday and they never did (bastards). So now that I'm the adult, my tree stays up until the 11th, even if only one needle is left on it. I also love that a new calendar year starts sort of with my birthday. It's a cool feeling, a real fresh start for a new year of Berg. Since my older sis and bro are two years and four days apart, my Mom had their parties every other year. One was even, the other odds. She kept this trend for me (odd years) and I hated it and still think it's stupid. But growing up we always got to pick whether we went out to dinner or what we wanted cooked. We always had the cake of our choosing (ice cream from a specific place). Now I mostly hang out and sing the 'it's my birthday' song and answer any question DH asks with some form of 'it's my birthday.' Two years ago we went to the DR and I woke up and got to go to the beach and lay out and have a 'summer' birthday, which was pretty cool. I love my birthday more than I can articulate. I count down from July 9th and periodically send texts out letting everyone know how close we are (normally the responses are exactly pleasant). But it's not just my birthday, I love all birthdays. I wake up on DH's (Feb. 27th) and decorate the entire bedroom while he sleeps as if he is 6. Last year (30th) his birthday was a Saturday, so we had birthday week. Every day starting the Sunday before he got a riddle and a (small) gift that led up to the final gift (Golfing with his buddy in the DR on an insane course). We left the day before his birthday but he didn't get his riddle about going until about 15 hours before we were leaving and even then he didn't know where we were going or for how long. I packed his things, stole his golf clubs, had his two friends meet us at the airport. The final riddle on his birthday was accompanied with tees and golf balls. After that we still had 6 days to just relax. It was perfect. I had so much fun planning it all!
Testing: Monday morning most likely, unless temp goes down
R/R: Friday! DH is going out of town this weekend so it's just me and DD again, but it should be a pretty good time now that is isn't hot as balls anymore. I'm strangely doing zero symptom spotting this cycle...I'm oddly not nervous or stressing or wondering if I'm pregnant or anything. It's unusually zen for me. I guess it will pick up in the next couple of days probably.
CS/Q: Chart is trying to look triphasic. That's about it.
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? My birthday is in June. I had a pool in my backyard growing up so I'd usually have a pool party or a sleepover when I was a kid. Now I don't do anything really - actually this year I spent the whole day assembling DD's gifts for her birthday which is 3 days after mine. I did have two awesome birthdays though. In 2011 (age 29), DH's cousin got married in Sweden on my birthday so I used that as an excuse to go to Europe for two weeks. And in 2014 (age 32), we were on our honeymoon in South Africa on my birthday. We were on safari at the time, and scheduled an elephant back safari that morning, so that was pretty effing awesome. I was hoping that DD would be born on my birthday in 2015, because then I could claim to no longer have a birthday and not age past 33, but no such luck, haha. :-)
R/R: we made it to Lexington last night after a 3 hour delayed flight! It's a cute little town so far and today we are off to explore
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger?
sept 15th. When I was younger I just had birthday parties. Now my husband usually comes up with something fun- group dinner, seeing a play, a weekend trip somewhere.
Testing: Tomorrow... not feeling very optimistic though
R/R: Feeling bummed about this cycle... Between FF not knowing if I O'ed on CD 13, 17 or 19 and my temps being all over the place, I feel like I'm out. Feeling even more pouty about it because Monday is our 7th anniversary.
But... it's Friday!
CS/Q: Nope. Both FF and I are clueless as to wtf is going on.
GTKU: I'm July 2. Everyone is always out of town for July 4th. H and I figured if you can't beat 'em, join 'em and have started making a beach weekend out of it.
I'll be back later to comment!
Me: 32 H: 32 Married: October 2009 TTC#1: August 2016
R/R: It's Friday...a rainy Friday, but I'll take it. Temp went up again today and I've surprisingly become less SS-crazy over the last two days. I'm hoping I can ride that cool until next week.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? Mine is mid-November This year I'll be 30, so I'm hoping DH puts together something a bit more special, but as of now, I am scheduled to be out of town for work both the day before and day of, so who knows. Likely we'll do a nice dinner with family. When I was younger, we did birthday parties with family and friends, but nothing too extravagant.
@delujm0 - My husband shares a birthday with his mom - she says she stopping age at 28 because of it! @berg - I love your birthday enthusiasm! @NYTino24 - Sorry your DH doesn't understand, but the positive is that he wants to understand. My DH isn't so inclined!
R/R: It's Friyay!! I have nothing planned this weekend for the first time in what feels like months. I am so excited to just vedge out, decorate for Halloween and maybe do some shopping.
CS/Q: nope
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger?
October 13. My mom always threw me a bday party when I was younger, now DH and I just go out for a nice date. Last year it worked out that we were in a Disneyland for it and that was one of my favorite birthdays!
R/R: Lately I've just been full of rants but today I am all about the raves. My ultrasound on my breast came back all clear!!!!!!! Its just a dense mass of fibrocystic tissue! Words cannot describe how relieved I am. And then last night DH and I received a phone call from a family friend offering us tickets to the homecoming game at the university that I graduated from. I am SO stoked to go to the game tomorrow!
CS/Q: After yesterday's plummeting temp, a giant rise this morning. I cant with my chart anymore this month.
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? October 11. So its coming up soon! I used to do the normal kid birthday celebrations (my mom was good about throwing super fun parties). And then in college all my friends would go out and party. Now DH and I kind of do one big celebration with our families sometime around the middle of October for his birthday (10/3), my birthday (10/11) and our anniversary (10/25). Knock all the celebrating out at once.
R/R: I have a good feeling about this month for some reason. Not even necessarily that I think we'll end up KU, but we've both been eating better and DH's "contribution" lol has been (TMI alert)
thicker, sticker and more while (less clear)
so it gives me hope about improved quality and therefore better chances
CS/Q: nope
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? June 15. My parents have always done something (party, dinner trip) DH and I will do dinner but honestly, I hate being the center of attention (when its not a performance, which I don't do anymore anyway lol) so its not something I encourage.

Testing: Not unless AF doesn't show herself by the end of the weekend. I'm still above cover, but my temperature has dropped in the last 2 days so I'm hoping we can just move onto the next cycle soon.
R/R: I have the whole weekend off! I am SO EXCITED, you guys! The last time that I had an entire weekend to myself was almost 1.5 months ago. H and I are going to hang out with friends tomorrow, and I'm hoping that I can coerce him into going to the pumpkin patch on Sunday.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? My birthday is at the end of August. I love it because it's right before the seasons change. It's such an exciting time of year for me. When I was little, though, it actually often coincided with the first day of school, which was kind of a bummer. But my parents would always throw a pool party for me.
R/R: My house is decorated (on the inside) for halloween now! A really good friend of mine is coming into town today and staying at my place tonight! I am looking forward to seeing her. And Next week I am going to Kansas to visit my sister at KState! She is a senior and I cant wait to see her. I havent been to her school yet, and so she is going to take me and DH around to all her favorite things! I cant wait!
CS/Q: nope, just trying to not go bsc today! I am so nervous about testing tomorrow!
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? January 26. I share my birthday with Ellen Degeneres. Most of my family has birthdays in the holiday belt, nov 3, dec 12, 23, 25, jan 1, 2, 15, 26, feb 2. So not only do we get to celebrate the holidays, but we get to start and end it all with birthdays! DH and I are 2 years and 1 week apart (im older) so he usually cooks me a fantastic dinner, and the last couple years he has made me something special for dessert. We then go out for dinner the weekend in between, and then for his I bake him something special. I am the baker of the house, so for him to even try is super sweet, but he has gotten better each year! I usually go all out, last year he had margarita cupcakes, basically a vanilla lime cake, with lime curd, and tequila lime frosting, finished with finishing salt. Birthdays are big with me!

I liked it because I preferred pumpkin pie over cake anyway.

@littlebug2010 Hey January bday friend!! I love that you mention that you share your bday with Ellen! I love knowing who has mine. Most notably (IMHO), I share with Princess Kate (she's one year older). I like to tell DH that I too could be a princess if only I lived in England. bObviously sharing a birthday means you're the same person. It's just common sense.

My birthday is July 20. Typically we just do dinner out and DH will make me some chocolate covered strawberries. Its really not that big a deal in our house, but we at least acknowledge it.
@berg I have always told DH that I need to go see the ellen show on my birthday! Though now I kinda wish I shared mine with a princess too! I love being a January baby!

Now I usually plan an adventure for DH and I, the past few years have been day trips to San Francisco to visit a different museum and go to my favorite restaurant. And I just had to add this:

But my in-laws are coming in for the night, late, and H will be gone until tomorrow so I have to entertain. H is doing a triathlon tomorrow so that's why they're here, to "see him do it," but they don't quite understand the concept of the swim (you can't see him in the water), or the race course (you can't drive through it to find another spot if you missed him when he went by), but they will not be deterred by what a pain in the ass it will be to find him in this race. They asked for "an address" so they can GPS it tomorrow and I'm like "ok, they still haven't figure out how races work." I, thankfully, get to stay home. The good news is the BIL I actually like is doing the race too so it'll be fun to spend time with him.
CS/Q: No, still in that wonderful time between ovulation and SS craziness.
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger?
I never had anything super special or elaborate, but I did demand that for that one day I could do what I wanted to do, since I spent every other day letting other people get their way. In my 20s it was a drunken shit show (I miss those celebrations) and now it's dinner at my favorite place and early bed time.

@NYTino24 Dudes are so easily confused by cycles! I've explained to my husband several times how it works and he still seems very confused.
@krisnicole23 It's so hard not comparing yourself to others! I've been trying to stop for a second every time I catch myself doing it and just rationally go through it - babies are not a finite resource and just because it hasn't happened for me yet doesn't mean it never will. It helps, at least a little!

CS/Q: None
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or
did you when you were younger? My
birthday was last Sunday. I am not
ashamed to admit that I have a birthday week.
DH and I went out last weekend, and this weekend I’m going out with my
girlfriends. It’s pretty low key, just
an excuse to all get together. As a kid,
my family always went all out for birthdays.
My brother and I had birthday parties with our friends then a birthday
party with our family. (We also got to
skip school on our birthdays.) I think
that has just stuck with me. DH doesn’t really
get it because his family never did big birthdays. I told him when I get KU, I’ll just be in
charge of birthdays!
@NYTino24 It took my DH a while to grasp fertility knowledge,
too. I just kept talking to him about
it, and he finally began to catch on. He
is totally grossed out by the term “cervical mucus,” but he knows what each
different type means, now. He will also
ask me periodically during my TWW if my temp is still high. Just be persistent and patient with him. He’ll get there. And if he doesn’t mind reading (my DH hates
it), you may be able to ask him read Taking Charge of your Fertility with you.
@krisnicole23 I totally get the frustration! When DH and I first started TTC, we would joke
that we were just planning to meet all of our friends during round two (when
they start trying for their second baby) so our babies could grow up
together. But at the same time, we
question if we will “meet them in round two”.
@alysapuggles The popup ad is driving me crazy, too!
@MrsDorkCharming We had a friend that got married on April 25th
and everyone kept telling her it was the “perfect date”. (And to be honest, the weather was fantastic
that day!)
@NYTino24- My DH doesn't get it 100% either @BertieMeetsGertie - Sorry about the weekend OT. That sucks. I am jealous you went to Spain though. @lulu1180 - Yay for a decent night sleep. We have a cat that will meow loudly in the middle of the night to wake us up but when 1 of us gets up, he pretends he's asleep on the couch. @krisnicole23@MommytoM13 - Sorry about the BFNs @shstephenson - Glad your test was good! @tripledaggerWed95976@CallMeMrsChaos - Fx for you tomorrow @kiwi2628 - Hey fellow September birthday! @JulesDP - Happy Anniversary! @spk112 - Yay for having the weekend off. @alysapuggles - I hear you on that ad.

GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger?
july 15. I usually go out to dinner with my family and some friends, nothing fancy. The only times I really did anything special were milestone bdays (18, 21..)
CS/Q: Nope. Both FF and I are clueless as to wtf is going on.
GTKU: I'm July 2. Everyone is always out of town for July 4th. H and I figured if you can't beat 'em, join 'em and have started making a beach weekend out of it.

When I was little, though, it actually often coincided with the first day of school, which was kind of a bummer. But my parents would always throw a pool party for me.

They asked for "an address" so they can GPS it tomorrow and I'm like "ok, they still haven't figure out how races work." I, thankfully, get to stay home. He is totally grossed out by the term “cervical mucus,” but he knows what each different type means, now. He will also ask me periodically during my TWW if my temp is still high. Just be persistent and patient with him. He’ll get there. And if he doesn’t mind reading (my DH hates it), you may be able to ask him read Taking Charge of your Fertility with you.
@krisnicole23 I totally get the frustration! When DH and I first started TTC, we would joke that we were just planning to meet all of our friends during round two (when they start trying for their second baby) so our babies could grow up together. But at the same time, we question if we will “meet them in round two”.
@JulesDP Happy early Anniversary!
@shstephenson Congratulations on the clear ultrasound!! I know your ecstatic!
@spk112 Enjoy your weekend off!
@alysapuggles The popup ad is driving me crazy, too!
@MrsDorkCharming We had a friend that got married on April 25th and everyone kept telling her it was the “perfect date”. (And to be honest, the weather was fantastic that day!)

@BertieMeetsGertie - Sorry about the weekend OT. That sucks. I am jealous you went to Spain though.
@lulu1180 - Yay for a decent night sleep. We have a cat that will meow loudly in the middle of the night to wake us up but when 1 of us gets up, he pretends he's asleep on the couch.
@krisnicole23 @MommytoM13 - Sorry about the BFNs
@shstephenson - Glad your test was good!
@tripledaggerWed95976 @CallMeMrsChaos - Fx for you tomorrow
@kiwi2628 - Hey fellow September birthday!
@JulesDP - Happy Anniversary!
@spk112 - Yay for having the weekend off.
@alysapuggles - I hear you on that ad. It's very annoying. Thankfully the sound on my computer is off so I don't hear it.
@MrsDarkCharming - Your grandma sounds like mine. That's something mine would say
@mrlight - Happy (belated) birthday!
GTKU: When is your birthday? Do you do anything special to celebrate it now or did you when you were younger? My birthday is September 5th. When I was younger, I'd get the big yellow smiley face cookies and share them with my class. Now DH and I go out to eat somewhere and that's about it
Married: 07-2014

Restarted TTC "count" Oct. 2016
