I'm a second time mom currently 17w4d, I have lupus which is controlled pretty well and thus far no complications for the past 7 years I've known I've had it. My first baby was born at 33 weeks due to preeclampsia and I'm 35.
My OB told me at my first appointment that I needed to see a high risk doctor but found out she scheduled my first and maybe only appointment next week at 18w 6d! I'm guessing for the full anatomy scan?
I feel ok, my bp has been good and I've been seeing my rheumatologist with good blood results. Shouldn't I have seen the high risk doctor earlier or more regular? I guess I'm ok, but worried. I see my OB this Friday and I'm trying to think of good questions to ask. Any tips or questions?
Don't stress out. I don't know if you should have seen a high risk sooner.
I always ask my MFM how are the measurements, does everything look normal, is there anything I should be doing? I also put a list of symptoms together on my notepad on my phone, in case I forget and ask her. Hope this helps!
