    1. How are you feeling this week? Any accomplishments you would like to share?
I am feeling a little bit under the weather with all the new kid germs at school. Powering through it and getting by. I ate super healthy all week and stuck to my meal plan except for some cheats on Sat. Got out for many walks and just one spin class but didn't make it to pilates.

    2. What are your fitness goals for this week?
I'm going to a yoga retreat this coming weekend! I'm hoping to make it to one "prep" class this week and then get into it all weekend. I'm so excited.

    3. What are your nutrition goals for this week? I'm proud of myself for prepping my lunches anf planning out dinners for Mon- Thurs. I made a bunch of hard boiled eggs, tuna ( made with mustard only), turkey slices all mixed up with different veggies for each day. Low carb. Also bringing my little packets of stevia for my coffee to reduce sugar intake.

    4. What are your favorite fall weather fitness activities? I love hiking!! I'm hoping to get out there for at least a few longer hikes 5-6 miles from now till November. I have a friend that formed a hiking group and I'm also hoping this will help with ttc stress.

  •  @KarenBeth714 YAY FOR YOGA RETREATS!! I would love to attend one someday. Great job sticking to your healthy meal plan- it takes dedication!!

    1. Feeling: Nauseous and tired (bring all of the PG symptoms baby, come at me bro! :D ) I'm feeling pretty hopeful that this might "THE" cycle, and a little nervous for the same reason, but I am so ready. I got a discouraging, but expected BFN at 7DPO (yesterday) and I will be testing every other day. AF is due next Tuesday, and each time I fell PG in the past store bought sticks couldn't detect it until I missed at least one day of AF.

I'm also feeling particularly grateful for my overall health today- physical, emotional, and spiritual. Reading new intros and updates breaks my heart for all of you currently healing after MC, and takes me back to how difficult it was for me. Describing it as a roller coaster is so accurate. So I guess I can consider my health an accomplishment. Although aside from trying to eat a wholesome diet and be kind to myself, I realize it is not completely due to my own effort. I am just so glad I am not where I was only 4 months ago.

    2. Fitness Goals: Getting out of bed early enough for at least 10 min of prenatal pilates/ a brisk walk. It makes my day so much better.  I did so well last week, but it tapered off for the weekend.

    3. Nutrition Goals: GREENS! I feel I need to work more greens into my diet. Meal prep helps me do this. I also want to continue with a protein smoothie each morning for breakfast.

    4. Favorite fall weather fitness activities: Getting out for a walk at local farmer's markets, hiking, maybe some yoga and bike rides.

I am so blessed to have the love of my life, my DH, est. November 2008.

  • @KarenBeth714 Great job sticking with your eating plans. It is really hard for most people. Also, where do you find the time to be so active? I am super jealous.

@2fitBees FX these symptoms you're having mean a positive result.

"Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live in"

    1. How are you feeling this week? Any accomplishments you would like to share? Feeling better this week. I was not able to exercise most of last week, so I am trying to get back into the routine. I had more cramping and bleeding yesterday and am really hoping that was the end of it.

    2. What are your fitness goals for this week? I am trying to set goals that I can accomplish. Right now, that means yoga ball core exercises and leg lifts three times per week. I have twice this week. Third day is Thursday, as long as I can drag myself out of bed at 5.

    3. What are your nutrition goals for this week? Home cooking. We don't have the healthiest menu planned for this week, but it's not terrible.

    4. What are your favorite fall weather fitness activities? I would like to start hiking. We plan to hike in Colorado Springs. There are some places to hike in my area, but they are not very pretty and it is so buggy and lots of snakes here in Texas.

    1. How are you feeling this week? Any accomplishments you would like to share?

First week of WTO I usually feel my skinniest. I've been eating healthy too!

    2. What are your fitness goals for this week? I start Orange Theory tonight. Do people know about this program? It's a gym where your goal is to workout at your target HR for 12 min in an effort to burn calories all week. You row, run on s treadmill, use free weights. They just opened a new one by my condo, so I'm trying it for 2 weeks free. I'm excited to start a new progr, but worry about the effect on TTC. Apparently they have modifications for when you are pregnant.

    3. What are your nutrition goals for this week? Keep the wine and chocolate to a minimum. Lose 2 lbs to jump start a 10lb loss this month.

    4. What are your favorite fall weather fitness activities? I love running outside in September. The weather is perfect for it!

@chloe97  I go to Orange Theory!! I love it :) I have a bad Achilles tendon on my left leg so I need to watch it. I just took a two week break to give my Achilles a break but will be back at it on Thursday.

ETA: I asked my RE about it and he said it was fine. I just turn it down a notch during TWW and walk on the treadmill instead of run. There are plenty of pregnant women who do it as well but do modifications.

  • @roxgibbons That's great! I'm excited to try it. How does that work with the instructors- do you just tell them you are in the TWW or pregnant? Seems weird to have to tell them every 2-3 weeks that I could be pregnant. Have you found it to be effective? I'd love to lose the "miscarriage 15".

I'm so sorry about your achilles by the way. How annoying on top of everything!
  • The instructors are pretty good about asking if anyone needs modifications or they just show a modified version of the exercise which is generally a less high impact version so I opt for that one during TWW.  Also I just use my best judgement. If there is something that seems like it's too high impact I just take out the jumping or go lighter on the weights. Also you see your heart rate on the monitor so if you are going too hard, you can visually monitor yourself and slow it down. You also get an email after your workout with a summary of how many calories you burned and your summary of the class.

I do do find it very effective. When I go consistently I do see a difference for sure. A lot of my co-workers do it as well and love it. It's just easy to show up and someone tells you what to do and you're done with it.

Thanks it's an ongoing issue I've had for a couple of years but I need to get better about stretching it out.

  • Thanks @roxgibbons. I liked it! I did crossfit before my wedding and I guess I was just expecting OTF to similar. It was so much more gentle. I was in the red zone a lot more than I expected to be. I guess I'm more out of shape than I thought!

My curiosity is piqued by all the talk about Orange Theory... How much do classes cost? Do you all think it's worth it? @chloe97 @roxgibbons
  • I'm in Chicago and things tend to be a bit more expensive here, but I'm signed up for an unlimited number of sessions a month for $169 for next month. You can also buy session packs for like $20/session if you buy 20 sessions at a time, so it is pricey. I feel better physically and emotionally today than I have in awhile so I'm going to stick with it a month or so and see how I feel. I'm really bad at making myself exercise like I should, so to me it's worth it right now. If I can I get myself to go 3-4 times a week and it helps my anxiety, it is worth it to me. I was doing Crossfit, which I loved, but I just think it's too hard core for TTC and (hopefully) early pregnancy.
  • @RiverSong15 it's the same out here in the SF Bay Area. It's about $169-189 for an unlimited membership but they also have other packages for if you go 2X per week or as @chloe97 mentioned you can buy a package of classes but that does get pricey.

Interesting.... The one closest to me offers a free first class. I may check it out. I'm in a major metro area too, so I think those prices might be accurate. We'll see though. I do like HIIT.
