Our rainbow baby, Natalie Joyce, arrived on 12.12 weighing 8 lbs even and 19 and 3/4 inches long. She is healthy and perfect. The RCS was uneventful and recovery is going well. I'm enjoying this time nesting on the couch with my kiddos.
Our baby Vada Rose was born at 41 weeks and 5 days on Dec 17 at 2:15am at 8lbs 14oz after a few labor false starts last week. She is healthy and loves to breastfeed. I got to labor mostly unmedicated but she came out via emergency csection. I'll post my labor story soon after I get better in recovery.
M.axwell J.ames was born on 12/15 at 3:30am after my water broke the night before. He weighed 8 lbs 2 oz at birth and is 21.5 inches long. Little Max is absolutely adorable and I am loving watching DH be a dad.
August Jackson made a pretty quick arrival yesterday. Born at 7:02 pm, 9 lbs 9 oz (!), 21 inches.
Labor was fast and intense, and I pushed for an hour and a half to get this chunky monkey out. He's a funny sweetheart and we're loving getting to know him. I'll post a full labor story when I can.
Leah G, born 12/15 at 0938. 10lb 9oz (no DM diagnosis) and 21". She is still in NICU, but we are hoping to get her off of O2 soon (feel it's immature lungs) and out of sunbathing, so she can be home for Christmas (we hope!). We love her so much already.
Anastasia Jane born December 17th, weighing 7lbs 9oz, measuring 20in. She needed a little vacuum help to come out, but made a very punctual arrival at 11am on the dot, almost exactly 24 hours after my water broke. Needed a little pitocin help since contractions weren't starting, despite having my water break. My FI and I were planning on naming her Margot Eleanor, but I couldn't let go of the name Anastasia, so we changed our minds. It turns out that Anastasia is the feminine form of my FI's late grandfather, whom he was very close to and I got to know in the end, so it is a great tribute. Using this name made my FI very happy.
Baby May bartfast is here! Just under 7 pounds. I'll post more in a labor thread but the birth and baby are amazing. Short of riding a snow leopard to the hospital I couldn't have imagined a more amazing birth
J.oseph F.rancis (Joey) was born 12/18 at 10:20am weighing 7lb 11oz and 20.5" long. Labor and delivery was a whirlwind! Will post more details once we're settled at home. For now we're just enjoying this amazing addition to our family, we are so in love!
James Allen the 3rd was born today 12/20 at 1:57pm via emergency c-section. We headed in Monday afternoon to begin the induction process. It was slow and difficult but I finally reached 4cm late this morning. Doctor broke my water and claimed it was a tidal wave. Baby immediately started decelling on NST machine, we turned off pitocin and he still decelled.
My doctor told us it was time to get baby out and that baby's health is more important than a vaginal delivery. We agreed and in record speed James arrived wailing his head off.he is 7lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long. We are so very much in love!
Simon Ollivander was born 12/19 via RCS. He weighed in at 9lbs 9oz and 21 inches long (after he pooped on the nurse 3x and peed across the operating room). He has since melted my heart and does not want to leave my side.
Ev.elyn Quin.n was born on 12/15 at 1:55pm following an induction the same morning. She was 9 days late but stayed small, at 6lbs 15oz and 19 inches long. She had pooped in the water so we didn't skin to skin right away, but the hospital did their thing quickly and we cuddled for a while. She latches well with the use of a nipple shield so things are good :-) I'll post a story later!
Maxim.us Joh.n was born on 12/20/16 at 11:45 PM weighing 8 lbs 10 oz and stretching 20 inches long. We came in Sunday evening to get induced and it became a very long slow process. I'm so thankful that I wasn't in much discomfort until late Tuesday. My cervix took a long time to get softened enough to start pitocin and for the doctor to break my water. Once the water was broke and pit started on Tuesday morning things still moved fairly slow. I got a planned epidural around 2 and finally dilated to complete about 8:30 pm. At 9 I began pushing and had to break about 10:30 as I was exhausted and my contractions were spacing. Thankfully all this time my little man's vitals looked great and he was not discomfort. After relaxing on my side for a few minutes he turned just enough that I felt the strong urge to push finally! I pushed for one more hour and out he came right before midnight. He is very healthy so far and we're slowly getting onto nursing which has been a battle. He had a very tight tongue tie so it has taken a lot of patience. I couldn't be a happier mama to this miracle. We are so proud that God chose us!!
Logan was born 12/21 at 8:27pm 19 inches long. He arrived 10 days early. My water broke at 10:30pm on Tuesday and a long 22 hours later he arrived. Pushed for 1 1/2 hours. We are sooo in love!!! ❤️❤️❤️
So sorry that I've been MIA ladies! Here is Spencer's birth story:
As you may know, I was scheduled for a C section on 12/8. Well at 1:30 AM on 12/7 my water broke and I began having contractions. I spoke with the doctor on call and he told me to come into L&D. We had a room by 3:15 AM and they confirmed my water broke and that I was having contractions. By 7:30 AM I was in the OR and luckily for me all of the doctors that I was supposed to have on 12/8 were available on 12/7!! Spencer was born at 8:43 AM on 12/7 weighing 8lbs 5oz and was 20.5 inches. I did have to stay a little longer than normal in the hospital due to some GI issues, but we have been home for a few weeks now and are doing great! (other than the sleepless nights haha). But this face makes it all worth it!
One Spencer following another. Spencer James was born Dec 19th, on his due date, after thirty hours of labor and four hours of pushing. 6 pounds, 15 ounces and 21in long. I'll try to update with a birth story soon. I'm on my phone and would rather use a keyboard, lol. Congrats mamas!
Jackson Lucas was born on his due date 12/22 at 5:02 pm. Weighing in at 8lbs 7.6oz, 21 1/4 inches long. 13 hours between manually breaking my water to get my contractions to intensify to help me dilate to birth with 1 hour and 53 minutes of pushing. We are absolutely in love with our precious son!
I never participated in the discussions but lurked all the time. You ladies are awesome! Just thought I'd share my birth. Addie Joy was born 12/23 at 42+2 weeks. 7#6oz 21in long. Labor stalled out 7 times over 3 days. We used Caulophyllum, the breast pump, cotton root bark tincture, castor oil, lots of walking, inversions, and the abdominal lift to get things going. She was finally born at home "en caul" in a birth pool. Once labor got going the 8th time she was born within 2 hours and with only 9 minutes of pushing.
Lu.ke An.drew born 12/23 at 3:33 AM at 40+3. 7lbs 7 oz. 19 in. Super successful med free birth. Labored at home for 24 hours but only 4 hours at the hospital until he was born.
Ste.ggy Ame.lia was born today, 12/24 at 12.41pm after weeks of pre-labor (40+3). Pushed for less than an hour, baby was taken care of before skin to skin as she had BM inside. Shorty after I went to OR with about 10 hospital staff around me. Will make a thread when I'm up to it. She was 8.29 pounds, 19.5 inches. We are in love!
Team green turned blue. Carson Michael was born on 12/23 (39w+4d) at 5:05am. 8# 2 oz 20.5 inches. We could not be happier with our new addition to our family.
I'm really late to posting this, but better late than never right?
Lauren Darlene was born on December 13 at 1123 pm. I was induced that morning at 9, made it to 10cm in 10 hours, pushed for two hours and ended with a C section. She weighed 9lb 7oz and measured 21 inches long. We stayed in the hospital for about a week due to her losing too much weight and had jaundice with higher bilirubin levels. It's been rough with breast feeding and topping up with formula and pumping but we've finally found out that Lauren has a tongue tie affecting BFing.
Our little E.lliot was born at 1:30am on Christmas morning after about 24 hours of labor. He was 7lbs 5oz, and has a full head of hair. If I can get around to bumping from my computer I'll post some pics and his birth story! I'm so in love with this little man!
Gwendolyn Ann was born Christmas morning (on her due date) at 1:05am after my water broke at 4:30pm Christmas Eve and laboring for 8 1/2 hours. She was 7lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. She's doing great and mommy is pretty sore and tired lol.
Allison Karoline was born this morning, 12/31 at 5:10am after a very short and furious labor, med free (no time!!). I feel like garbage, but she's pretty cute, so I think we will take her home. I'll share my story soon.
Finally after 27 hours of medfree painful back labor Tessa Beth was born on January 1st at 3:59am EST. She came into the world with a thick head of dark brown hair and a very healthy set of lungs. Tess is a natural nurser and latched right away. I'm exhausted, haven't really slept in 2 days but am so in love. I did tear and required stitches, but honestly don't know or even care about the extent of that right now.
Della Jane arrived 1/3 @ 5:19 after a 24 hour long intermittent labor and 3 hours of incredibly intense labor... 2 pushes made her earthside. Measuring in at 8.10 and 19 inches. She was born at home in water, safely and secure with zero complications.
Better late than never, huh? Asher James was born at 11:49pm on January 2 after nearly 30 hours of labor. He was 7lb 15oz after two meconium deposits on my stomach while the nurse rubbed him down. We're so enjoying this time getting to know him!
This is Ambrose! After around 15 hours of active labor, he arrived at around 11pm weighing 9 lbs 4 oz. Unfortunately, he's not doing so well right now -- he was born at home but had to be taken by paramedics to the local hospital and was airlifted to Utah earlier today for additional support. But you can read all about that in the AW thread I'm about to post.SaveSave
We welcomed Harper Rosemary on january 8 at 5:42 am. She was due December 31 and just like her mama is NEVER on time. After waiting a long 8 days, she came fast and without any issues in 8 hours. Still wowing us she is tiny and 6'11 and 18 inches when she was measuring huge the whole pregnancy! Glad she waited
