I am happy the weather was beautiful here today. Finally it wasn't raining. The sun was shining, it was calm and I sat on my deck and watched my kids play in the yard and breathed in the fresh fall air!

A few weeks ago we ordered our crib mattress from Target with our registry completion discount, extra 10% off, and used gift cards. We had it shipped to the store and it said on my online account it would arrive yesterday. Well this weekend we realized we never got a confirmation email so I called yesterday and there was some sort of technical error and it was never processed. So we'd have to cancel it, get a new gift card (since I threw one away), and call back to get the discount when I reorder. Ugh, so irritating. It's not exactly urgent to have the mattress, but it was our last piece of the nursery to complete!
I went to Target to get some other stuff and just thought I'd look to see if they had the mattress. The exact model we ordered was on clearance "as is" for $23 (orignally $109)!!! There's nothing wrong with it, they must've sent it for us but somehow didn't connect it with our order. So we basically got like 80% off of our crib mattress! Woohoo! All of that frustration definitely worked out in our favor!!
thanks guys I've worked there for 11 years and was able to save about 70 days full pay on top of the fmla and such. at 23 years old I knew I needed to save days for when my old fart self would have a kid

@ibabyloveb87 - we just got a Tahoe too! With two labs plus and baby plus baby gear, nothing else seemed practical. Although yours looks brand new so I'm totally jealous! We only buy through auctions so ours is a 2014.

Second, finally got our finances all organized again, THANK GOD. I was getting nervous there for a minute. I don't like our savings under so much but we've been going crazy remodeling and getting everything done before our son arrives. Happy I was smart enough to put away some extra cash into a "secret" account. DH wasn't happy to find out I did that, but once he found out how much I saved, he got over it pretty fast. LOL

@schell2013 I thought I was the only one who found him really good looking and played the part better than expected... there is something so sexy about him. It might be the fact that he's Irish and you can hear his accent come out every once in a while. LOL I'm a sucker for accents! *Swoon*

I'm happy because DH and I finally decided on a first name for this baby! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Now we just need to pick a Hawaiian middle name and we'll be all set.
My DH is on his plane home from South Africa - and he isn't leaving again until November! I was sooo worried Baby was going to come this week and he'd miss it but my boys cooperated

My coworkers had a surprise get together for me today. I had mention mutiple times that I didn't need anything since I had everything from my toddler, when they threw me a large baby shower. They did it anyways and brought in so much yummy food, I ate all day!
DH got home tonight from his work trip and brought me these because it's the last time he will come home without there being a baby here He very rarely brings flowers!
