Some great tips for benefiting from this wonderful community:
- Read izza2's TTGP Guide (we're working on getting it pinned at the top of this board in place of the one that's pinned). It is full of really helpful TTC advice and knowledge.
- Participate! Join the WTO (Waiting to Ovulate) and TWW (Two Week Wait) threads. This is a great place to let everyone know where you are at in your cycle, rant and/or rave about anything (TTC-related or not), and have any questions answered.
Please introduce yourselves. Share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.

Me: 30 DH: 31 Married 2010 TTC since Nov. 2015 BFP#1: 2/8/16 MC: 3/19/16 BFP#2: 9/3/16 EDD: 5/17/17
Hi everyone! I‘ve
been lurking for a couple of weeks and finally worked up the courage
to introduce myself.
Ages (you and SO): He‘s 33, I‘m 28.
We‘ve been together for almost 10 years (our anniversary is coming
up next month!)
How many months have
you been TTC? We started NTNP last
year but had to take a break due to work stuff. We started TTC again
in April 2016. So thats nearly 5 months of TTC + about 6 months of
NTNP.
What are you doing
to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Charting, PNV, lots
of sex.
I went to get checked out by my gynaecologist in July and
based on my charts she suspects a luteal phase defect and pcos - got
some bloodwork done to confirm, still waiting to hear on the results.
In the meantime she prescribed Arefam (progesterone) to strengthen my
luteal phase.
Tell us about
yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) This would be our
first child. We both work in technical fields and are pretty
outdoorsy. We‘re currently looking for a house and are
simultaneously trying to renovate our apartment so that we can rent
it out once we move – which is a bit of a nightmare but a great
distraction during the TWW!
How many months have you been TTC? Over a year. About 14 months I had a MMC at the beginning of the month which resulted in getting a D&C on Aug 5th.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Femara/trigger/IUI. Acupuncture since March 2016. Lots of herbal supplements- per the suggestion of my wonderful acu lady. Will start up again with fertility once I get my second period following D&C. 1st period I can (and plan on) trying the old fashioned way. Hoping to get my first period soon.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Wonderful, energetic, happy 19 month old son. Want so badly to give him a sibling. Married for 5 years next month. 2 dogs- Australian shepherds
How many months have you been TTC? 10 months. Stopped taking birth control last October and didn't get a cycle for months, after appointments with my OBGYN and RE I was diagnosed with PCOS.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Clomid/Trigger. Will be adding IUI next cycle if this one isn't successful.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) This would be our first! We've been married for 3 years and have a dog and a cat. Bought a house two years ago that we're slowly fixing up so working on that/pinning house dreams on pinterest is my main hobby right now!
How many months have you been TTC? I stopped my birth control in November, and have been actively trying since then, so about 10 months.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Charting, having sex around my most fertile days. I have an appt with my OBGYN to start Clomid at the end of September, as I have never gotten a positive on the OPK. Diagnosed with endometriosis two years ago.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We've been married for almost 1 1/2 years, together for almost six. We rescued a dog in December, and have owned a house together for almost two years. I'm a full time social worker (child & adolescent therapist). Both of my sister in law's recently gave birth in the last 4 weeks (one was her third child, the other was her first & she wasn't trying to get pregnant). They seem to sneeze and get pregnant.
Hi ladies! I'm excited finally got the green light to post
Ages (you and SO): Me: 32, Him: 31 (he likes to joke about how old I am but I'm only 3 months ahead)
How many months have you been TTC? This is our second month. I stopped birth control in May.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Charting BBT, CM and OPKs, sex in the fertile window, using PreSeed
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm a nurse, he does something I don't really understand having to do with finance. We got married in May and my sister is getting married in November (SIL got married in January) so talking about baby making is a welcome break from all the wedding talk!
It's nice to meet you all

Hi Guys! I'm 30, he's 34. I just stopped BC on August 3rd after a little over 13 years. I've had some tummy trouble and some fatigue, but other than that it's not so bad! Charting (all the signs) and OPKs (which have always been negative and I'm on CD 18 The OPKs are making me a little crazy, and I'm wondering if I'm better off without them (all the other fertility signs are there) No kids, but two kitties. We both are college professors and have been married for a little over 3 years. Thanks for reading and good luck!

Hey everyone, not new to the bump but have been hanging around the TTCAL board and figured I would join back in over here as well on TTGP if you guys will have me!

Ages (you and SO): Me: 26 DH: 31
How many months have you been TTC? It is coming up on a year in September. We had a BFP in January that resulted in a MMC in March, now we are TTCAL.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Temping, BD, etc.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) No kids, but furmom to two wonderful dogs! I am an avid reader and I like to knit a little as well. I love the fall and cannot wait for it to be cooler out! I just generally try to enjoy the little moments! Oh and I am an office manager.

Good plan @Jenshoes...and likewise, I hope I can think an OPK positive...at this point, I'd give anything just to know I'm actually going to ovulate this cycle.
TTC since 8/7/16 BFP 9/13/16 MMC 10/18/16 D&C 10/20/16
How many months have you been TTC? We got pregnant while NTNP last December - BFP just before christmas and had MMC discovered at my 13 week appt - 2 D&Cs and a perforated uterus later we took a few months off and are back to trying now - just finished up my first cycle
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Obsessing - is that a method?! Temping (kind of - hard with 2 kids who come to our bed often), OPKs, HIO all the time
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have 2 girls - age 5 and 2. I was active on TTGP when I tried (for a year) to get pg with my first, but that was 7 years ago! yikes. We live in the Bay Area, I teach college and DH is an attorney. We are trying to buy our first house but, well, its the Bay Area and inventory less than $1 million is slim

@mrsegan13 I would recommend not stopping OPKs unless you are temping. I came off birth control last year after being on it for almost 8 years. The first few months after stopping it, I had great fertile signs that made me always excited; however, with temping and OPKs, I knew that I wasn't ovulating. I know it can be a little stressful at times, but I would rather know that I wasn't ovulating than get my hopes too high every month that my period wasn't there. Good luck!

So, I'm definitely not new. But I never introduced myself or participated in WTO/TWW boards as we weren't TTC yet. As of last night, we are *officially* TTC. I've been waiting SO INCREDIBLY LONG and I'm so glad not to be waiting anymore, even if it doesn't happen right away!
Ages (you and SO): I'm 29, H is 34
How many months have you been TTC? 1! Mirena out last fall but actively TTA since then so that I can finish grad school.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? For now, just good nutrition (sometimes...), PNV, checking CM, and BD. May consider temping eventually, but my schedule is crazy erratic.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm a nurse in school to be a nurse practitioner. H works in safety management and basically other things I dont understand. We have the best lab/pit mix dog who is my first love. Hobbies have kind of gone by the wayside with grad school, but my goal is to take a photography class if I don't have an infant when I graduate! For now, we spend free time hanging with friends, watching movies, and I love to read.
How many months have you been TTC? This will be month #1
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Stocked up on wondfo opks, purchased a good thermometer but so far temping has been a mess. Sort of just winging it this first month, but I did read TCOYF cover to cover and will focus more on the temping in coming months if I need to.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm excited to be here! DH and I have been together for 6 years, married for 1. We both work in finance, no kids yet but do have an adorable dog. We enjoy golfing, snowboarding, going out with other couples for drinks, pool and dancing.
I've been lurking for probably 10 months now, I was so excited to get started trying and I wanted to get educated. I also hung out on the knot during wedding planning and loved the community support, so I'm excited it's finally time for us to start TTC and I can jump in the conversation with you girls!
I'll be 25 in a week. My husband is 24. We're on month 2 of ttc. We've both started getting back to the dentist. I've started trying to eat better and take vitamins. You know the rest. I'll be graduating college in November then getting ready for grad school. I have a cat named Elsa.
@mokay19, that's a good point. Do you remember how long it took you to ovulate after stopping the pill?
Ha! Sorry I'm a speshul snowflake and never ovulated. I was able to see an RE after 9 months of no ovulation since I had my charts, lack of pregnancy, and lack of period to prove that I needed medical intervention. That's why I recommend to continue tracking.... just in case you find yourself in a situation like mine. Also, you were on the pill for quite some time so it may take a few months for your body to figure things out. Did you still have periods while on the pill?
Hi all! I have been lurking these boards for a couple months as DH and I start this journey, have learned so much, THANK YOU and am looking forward to participating and learning more.
Ages (you and SO): I am 31 and DH is 30
How many months have you been TTC? starting on 3rd month
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? charting, temping, pre-seed, OPK,
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I am a pediatric physical therapist, DH is an attorney. We have 2 cats and spend most of our free time watching sports and cooking. As a couple, we also enjoy the gym and I like running, yoga, kickboxing, barre, basically any fitness trend out there, I will try and reward myself with deep fried food and booze.
Truth be told, I am joining this community because we are not sharing that we are TTC with friends or family. DH has some health issues (type 1 diabetes, celiac, neurological symptoms that are hopefully from diabetes but MS is not ruled out, and basically 24/7 abdominal discomfort- we have done all the discussions with doctors about risks etc) so we are not always able to have great timing and want to keep it to ourselves. However, if I stress about it he gets down and I just need a place to let it outttttttt with others who are obsessively thinking about TTC as well!

How many months have you been TTC? Short answer - not even a month. More complicated answer - we met with a perinatologist 6 years ago. I stopped BC almost 3 years ago. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic and finally got the ok from my endocrinologist to start trying just a few weeks ago. (Yay!)
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Tracking cycles since April, FF, exercise, sex (obviously!), blood sugar control.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I actually have been a bump member since 2009 but I had too much personal info associated with my account and DH and I prefer to not discuss TTC with friends and most family. With that being said, - we love our dogs, I work in medicine, we've been together for more than a decade, and are both super anxious to actually have reached this point! (Whoa, when did we become adults??!)
Hello all! Just recently started lurking on this board. I'm currently on the TWW and figured now would be a good time to introduce myself. My name is Nicole and I'm 32 yrs old. I live in Ohio with my husband, Terry(39), my stepdaughter(14), and our 2 boys (6 & 4). We have been TTC for 8 months now, almost 9. We suffered an early miscarriage in 2/16. I took a break from temping but started back up this August and so far it is working well. We are extremely busy this year as I work full time, our daughter just started high school, our oldest son is now in 1st grade and both of them play sports. We are doing a home preschool program for our youngest. I'm trying not to think about getting pregnant because it has stressed me out in the past since we were able to get pregnant so easily before. But I'm hopeful that it will happen soon.
