Testing: this morning... BFN, feeling very out

R/R: feeling kind of bummed because of the BFN. I ate a whole lot of brownies and it's not even 11 a.m...

    CS/Q: nope.

GTKY:  You are planning the perfect date with you and your DH/SO.  What do you do? Be on a private sandy beach on a lake or river (freshwater) with our puppy (ok... he's actually 6, not a puppy), and plop there for a day, with of course a whole bunch of picnic food and stuff to grill right there!

@BusinessWife I'm waiting around for WTO but now that you're here I think I might have to suck it up and start it myself. Also I reallllly think CD13 is O. If I were you I would start the progesterone tonight.

@AliciaGoose  I have been up for a while, busily lurking last week's Grad check-in... ;)  eta I think the thing that has me nervous is still a bit of lingering fertile CM, like I definitely didn't immediately 100% "dry up"
  • Options
@BusinessWife no I sit around and wait for threads to start too lol... i guess I needed a place to be whiny and sad this morning. (And probably for the next 5 or so mornings) I hope it's still early, but I just have this gut feeling it's not this month... I could be wrong though!

R/R: mildly stressing still about getting our almost 17k back from our contractor who died. i'm trying to trust that it'll all work out but things are kind of a mess. He had thrown in an egress window so we could finish our basement for "free." (we were paying him for a 2nd floor room addition) Well, the hole is dug outside and that's it. We just had a guy come by and quote us on finishing it for $4,600. No fricking way. Plus, the hole!! We've had this huge hole in our yard for over a week now - so, not the safest! I also have all these canker sores from the massive amounts of pineapple I had a few days ago and can barely talk. I am a mess!!

    CS/Q: I hate my chart.

GTKY:  You are planning the perfect date with you and your DH/SO.  What do you do? Probably just a kid free night to go out to dinner on our own and painting together while watching a movie at home. That sounds so relaxing.

R/R: I caved like a jerk this afternoon (of all the times I pick 1pm?! Just why mrsdaddario). Anyway, BFN of course. Not even a hint of the trigger. I know it's still "early" to get a BFP, but I really feel out now. The cramping is still prevalent but I know that's from the progesterone. The tingly thing in my nipple I had yesterday is gone. Now I have to wait an excruciating 5 days before blood work with RE. I'm feeling really down. I'm wondering if this is ever in the cards for DH and I. Or if I'm just setting us up for heartbreak. I'm also getting nervous because after this cycle, we can only do one or two more Letrozole cycles before moving on to injectables. Of course I'm willing to do that, but my insurance only covers 4 rounds of that. And I know the meds are a lot more expensive than Letrozole, which was actually free for me. I know I'm thinking too far ahead but insurance doesn't cover any IVF and honestly I don't even know if I'd want to put us through that. I wish my head would just stop swimming in TTC. I'm going to start a puzzle on this rainy day and hope it keeps me distracted.

@BusinessWife I threw out those super high temps from early in my cycle this morning and entered my temp and bam CH!! IMO though O was the day after what FF predicted but hey we'll see. I also think your O could be Thursday too honestly. Glad you are here with me! FX!!

@BusinessWife Ah, that is a seriously tricky chart. Depending on your temp tomorrow FF might move those crosshairs. Were you only doing the digital OPK? Or did you do regular ones as well?

Also in terms of the progesterone, what would happen if you started 1 day early or 1 day late in terms of repercussions? Since it's possible today could be one day early but tomorrow could be 1 day late.

I retract my early statement. @mrsdaddario and @Marley629 probably have it right since that 1dpo temp is still in normal range for your pre-O temps. And since the CM still hasn't dried up completely. I hate when O is tricky to catch!

ETA again: the reason I think maybe 14 now is because of what I said above. But the reason I thought 13 to begin with is because of that dip - which is what usually happens to me on O day. Is it crazy to say that if you ovulated day 13 at night that maybe the progesterone just didnt spike enough by the next day to get a super high temperature, which is why 1dpo looks so low? I honestly have no idea and need to bow out to the more superior chart stalkers here!

@mrsdaddario  yes, just the CBAdv ones.  So that gave me my Peak Wednesday, and when I put that in, FF immediately predicted O Thursday, with this crazy vertical line (even in Advanced mode, not just OPK mode).  But I was convinced with the super-low dip, that Wednesday was going to be O day.  And then I could swear I felt mild O-cramps around 9PM Wednesday night.  But of course I could have been imagining things.

Why would you guys say CD14 and not CD13?  Out of curiosity?  @Marley629  @Saralee797 and also, Yay!!!! :D

Anyway, sorry if I feel like I'm acting like a total newb AW, but I'm stressing because of which night to start my Progesterone... :/
  • Options
@AliciaGoose  I think THAT THERE is the Question, Right there.  I'm not really sure how much of a difference it makes, one day one way or the other, but last cycle my doctor said either way to stop at 12DPO.  Last cycle, I started at 4DPO cos I O'd on CD11 and I was so weirded out by my early O, I didn't want to start taking it too soon.  The main concern, I believe, is that it not be started prior to ovulation, because well then, that would just screw everything up right there, wouldn't it? lol
  • Options
@BusinessWife As I said above I think it's either CD14 or CD13 at night. I still really want to hang on to CD 13 for whatever reason. That low dip combined with the fact that you think O was at night have me leaning back in that direction again. But again, my chart stalking skills are on total newb levels so I'm going to gracefully bow out of this one! And your 1DPO is low enough to be considered pre-o and therefore could be O day.

So basically the moral of that story is...

@BertieMeetsGertie I would say between the pre-O dip, the dramatic temp rise, and the change in CM from fertile-type to non-fertile type, I'd say pretty safe to go with FF on this one ;)
  • Options
@BusinessWife mostly because of the CM still being around. If starting the progesterone either way won't hurt I wouldn't worry too much about it!!
  • Options
@BusinessWife, thanks! So, does ovulation typically occur the same day as the lowest temp or is it the following day when it spikes? I was hoping for a -1 timing instead of 0, but it's too late to do anything different this cycle!

@BertieMeetsGertie It can really go both ways, but I think in this case, the dramatic rise WELL ABOVE your coverline makes it pretty clear.  If the rise were big, but still within range of the pre-O temps, like the ladies were saying about my chart, then it can be tougher to call it.

ETA and Please, don't even worry!  O-day is great for timing!  Plus the -3 means you have two days in the FW covered.  Believe me, there are ladies here who have gotten KU with only one day like -4 timing, so please, -3,O is Great! ;)
