38, pumpkin
Baby-related happenings this week:
OB appt tomorrow, maybe I'll get a cervical check... DH is assembling some of the new nursery furniture replacing DD's changing table that fell apart plus matching dresser. The changing table got here with many broken pieces so we have to wait for a new one
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
So hard to get up out of bed/stand up. The pressure on my lower left side is enormous.
GTKY: What "to-do list" item is left that's giving you the most anxiety right now?
Installing the carseat base. I will feel so much better once this is done. Need to nudge DH to do it for me
37 weeks, the size of a winter melon
Baby-related happenings this week:
Had Dr. apt yesterday, still sitting at 1cm dilated and only having light random contractions. Thankfully, I think he will be staying put a while longer.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
My body is getting very used to little to no sleep most of the time. It hurts to move in general, pelvic bone feels like it is just destroyed most days.
GTKY: What "to-do list" item is left that's giving you the most anxiety right now?
Everything. Due to things happening at home I have not been able to get into 'nesting'. The problem should be cleared up Thursday though, so I will be spending next weekend cleaning/rearranging everything in the apartment to get it ready.
37 weeks. A honeydew. Which I grew up always calling "muskmelon".
Baby-related happenings this week:
I officially drop down to part time at work after Friday! I've been doing 60 hours weeks, 25-30 hour weeks has me thrilled!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
Back pain in the middle of the night and lots of pelvic/groin pain when I walk.
GTKY: What "to-do list" item is left that's giving you the most anxiety right now?
Nothint is giving me anxiety thankfully! But we need to install the car seat base, I still need to pack my darn bag, and there are a few small things I need to finish up in the nursery.
36 weeks (or so they say) papaya
Baby-related happenings this week?
Going to get the travel system for my car since SO already got a car seat for his then I have an appointment at 1:30.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
Feet are so swollen, lower back pain, lost the plug and now we wait.
GTKY: What "to-do list" item is left that's giving you the most anxiety right now?
Nothing really.. unless they don't have what I'm looking for at the store. I packed my bag last night and the nursery is done besides the dressers. Still debating on a bassinet.
Baby related happenings this week? Doctor today. It's still not go time but I go a lidocaine shot for the nerve pain in my leg so hopefully that makes life more comfortable
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Now that he's sitting lower my pelvis is so sad. Going from sitting to standing feels like bones are shattering. At least it is a sign he will be exiting soon. My husband's strategy for helping by throwing a key lime yogurt Popsicle in my direction every time I look uncomfortable is pretty awesome.
GTKY: The things left on the list are so minor- we need a rug in the nursery and there's no art on the crib wall. The only big thing left is birth the baby.
39 weeks - a cat or a pumpkin
Baby-related happenings this week:
weekly appointment on Thursday, last one before EDD.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
Clock/calender watching is the worst! I've done this before and was 6 days past EDD with DD, yet every morning I wake up hoping today is the day. Good way to start the day grumpy because so far (obviously) today has always not been the day. Trying to keep my mind busy, but when my whole body aches, it's hard to distract myself from it.
GTKY: What "to-do list" item is left that's giving you the most anxiety right now?
Finish DDs bed. I'm as ready as I will be for LO, but DD was supposed to be getting an awesome new big kid bed built. It's still not done, but I had to move her from where she was so her bed is currently a mattress on the floor. Not excited about that
Baby-related happenings this week: I have my weekly appointment tomorrow and my first cervical check (YAY!). After that I am going to the chiropractor which I'm really looking forward to. Nothing really big though. I'm hoping our dresser gets delivered tomorrow so I can start putting it together and putting away all the baby clothes.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Lots of cervical pressure. I never experienced lightening crotch in the 2nd tri but I think I have it now. BH contractions have picked up and are sometimes painful. I do have to say that since I've been going to the chiro, sleep has been GREAT, which is a huge improvement over the past few weeks.
GTKY: What "to-do list" item is left that's giving you the most anxiety right now? Honestly...just work. Finishing up work has been the worst. Tomorrow I'm going to stop by HR and hopefully get some paperwork for STD, FMLA and all that fun stuff. The baby laundry has been done, the crib is set up, we have the car seat base installed, freezer meals have been made. Really, I don't think there's anything we need to do. It's all just maintaining what we've done up until this point.
Baby-related happenings this week:
40 week appointment on Thursday....hopefully it's the last
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
Pooping a lot for a couple weeks now, crampy, achey, done lol
GTKY: What "to-do list" item is left that's giving you the most anxiety right now? Weed whacking the grass in the backyard and baby
38! Ukulele
Baby-related happenings this week:
Weekly appointment today, nothing else going on.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
Lots of period like cramps that seem to be getting more painful everyday. Nothing is regular or able to be timed. I just feel angry at everyone at work with. Stop asking me questions! Yes, I am still at work. No, I don't know when the baby is coming.
GTKY: What "to-do list" item is left that's giving you the most anxiety right now?
I thought everything was done but I opened up the baby's dresser today and it smelled like moth balls (we bought it at a consignment shop). So I took out all of the clothes and put down paper towels with baking soda on them. I'm hoping this will take the smell out in a few days. Also hoping I don't have to rewash and fold all those baby clothes...
