The funniest thing is that it hasn't even been a week since my transfer! Lol time just ticks ticks ticks slooooooow...meanwhile I am missing deadlines at work. Lol. How can this be!?
I'm just going to put this out there - one more time. I don't think that this is the appropriate space to be sharing u/s photos. Even a trigger warning can't stop people from seeing a huge photo on the board like that, and some of these posts don't even have a trigger warning. These photos are more appropriate for the PAIF board, where people go to find and share IF success stories.
We all need to be sensitive to the fact that even when we are having a good day, a lot of the ladies on this board may be having a day of serious struggles with IF. While some may be encouraged by seeing others have success, others may feel like it is something they may never have. I know I have had lots of days during my journey where it hurt to see a pregnant woman or an announcement on Facebook. I just think that this board should be a space that is free of those triggers for those who are struggling.
I'm not trying to single anyone out or criticize anyone b/c I really love all the ladies on this board - including those who have posted these photos! And I'm sure that there are some on this board who will disagree with my opinion here. But I just felt that this needed to be said.

@lilmissslp YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!! What a BEAUTIFUL beta!! Congrats girlie!
@BlueEyedDreamer I think what you said was well written. We do all know where to go to find success stories. At times when I'm in the mood, I lurk the PAIF forums and enjoy seeing those baby tickers and ultrasound pics. But there are most certainly days where that is the last thing I want to see. I'm definitely supportive of keeping this place free of triggers like that!

Hi ladies, I have been lurking for awhile. But wanted to join in as I will be doing my first (and most likely only) round of IVF this month. We are completely OOP. I used this board when doing my IUI's and found it so helpful. However, I did need a break after my last failed IUI. Now I am back to this amazing site. I have been reading all the successes and disappointments that we all know so well. Despite what it is, it is so nice to be on a site with women that know the turmoil of IF.
AFM-I had my first US today after starting stims. I have 7 follies on the rt and 8 on the left. My RE wanted to see between 10-15. She is estimating my ER to be next Tuesday or Wednesday. I am feeling very anxious / nervous / excited.
I am new to this forum. I had my iui on 27th August and currently on my tww (most toughest time i would say). Some of you have already got your BFPs:) many congratulations!
I have my beta on saturday. Very tensed. Hoping for a BFP. Had cramps, back ache and aching breasts until monday. Suddenly all symptoms disappeared. Quite worried. Avoiding the HPT as i dont want to be disappointed. But very tensed.
Lets see what Saturday has in store. My good wishes to all of you.
Another update - so i ovulated before my IUI. So now we know that lupron and ganirelix don't keep me from ovulating - so i'm totally screwed. I'm completely hopeless, i'm not sure how i'm going to finish this day at work.
Me & DH - 41, DH has a cyst blocking his tubes, I'm just old. IVF #1 scheduled May 2016 - 375/525 follistim, 75 menopur - cancelled cycle Day 6 IVF #2 scheduled July 2016 - new protocol, switcharoo...IUI June 2016 - BFN IVF#3 scheduled August 2016 - estrogen & testosterone primed for 3 wks - ganirelix 7 days leading up to stim - 500 follistim, 75 menopur, 150 clomid , no follicle growth on day 6, stopped injectibles. Scanned day 9 just to check, some growth, 3 days 200 mg clomid, day 12 more growth, 100 follistim, 75 menopur, start ganirelix on day 13, ER = 0 eggs, ovulated to soon ( ) IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle) IUI cancelled ovulated too soon again. Taking a mental health break. IVF#5 December 2016 - New protocol, same results. My adventure is over.
So I didn't quiet meet the 2 days thing, I put in a beta calculator, but went from 285 to 1915 today. I didn't talk to doctor today, but spoke to a nurse, should I be concerned that I didn't exactly double?
Me- blocked Fallopian Tube, and Endometriosis (31) & DH 0% morphology (44) June 2013- Married in Jamaica and started TTC
August 2014- (temp everyday and opk and clomid used 5 cycles)
September 2015- Hysterscopy and Laproscopy, fixed one tube, and couldn't fix one. Removed polyp.
@RacheleLynn12 - how many days since your first beta? i know different offices "want" doubling with 48 hours, other want it by 72. some say they're happy if it rises by 60%, etc...I'll keep FX but i hope if the nurse didn't seemed concerned, then there should be nothing to be worried about!
@caseyw8784 and @wifeinraleigh28 thanks! I definitely did not understand the whole doubling thing, and just got even more confused googling, lol. My brain is fried from back to school stuff!

BlueEyedDreamer. I’m hoping after my
u/s I am able to graduate to another board. I will keep you all posted about
the u/s results though. I know how difficult it can be to see. I had to stop
going on Facebook because I couldn’t handle all the pregnancy announcements. I
have definitely decided that my announcement will bring awareness to
infertility.
kelrauh! Good luck with your TWW, I hope
that it flies by! 9/16 will be here before you know it.
Jsmorrissey. We’re completely OOP as well!
I know what a financial burden it is.Were you able to do a shared risk program where most of the money is
refunded if it does not work out? Yay for your upcoming ER!
KirstenCas I’m so sorry for your continued
disappointments. I hope you are being kind to yourself.
@RacheleLynn12 your number is perfect, more than perfect!!! Don't stress!
@BlueEyedDreamer I think what you wrote was well said too! Being a veteran, nothing bothers me anymore. But I know how I felt in the beginning and it was hard to see others joy when I was suffering. Now, I live through others and LOVE seeing their success. I lurk on PAIF lol
so I happily welcome all picture but love that you're looking out for others!!

@lilmissslp - we definitely were not offered a shared risk option, that is amazing some do that! PS...I don't think enough people bring awareness to IF. I am tired of it being so taboo. It's like, don't ask me about when I am going to have kids, if you don't want to know why I haven't had them yet. It totally freaks people out when I am honest with them, kind of fun to watch their reaction.

BlueEyedDreamer. I’m hoping after my u/s I am able to graduate to another board. I will keep you all posted about the u/s results though. I know how difficult it can be to see. I had to stop going on Facebook because I couldn’t handle all the pregnancy announcements. I have definitely decided that my announcement will bring awareness to infertility.
kelrauh! Good luck with your TWW, I hope that it flies by! 9/16 will be here before you know it.
byrnemewifeinraleigh28!
Jsmorrissey. We’re completely OOP as well! I know what a financial burden it is. Were you able to do a shared risk program where most of the money is refunded if it does not work out? Yay for your upcoming ER!
KirstenCas I’m so sorry for your continued disappointments. I hope you are being kind to yourself.

AFM: key to forgetting about IF, TWW, limbo and miscarriages..starting school in a special education classroom. Head spinning, so tired, can't even think about my drama hahha. I go tomorrow- so I will update you all!

@caseyw8784 Thank you!!!!!
@wifeinraleigh28 I am happy to see a familiar "face", thank you! Yay to know someone else in my TWW.
