Lip chewing

LO's had his bottom 2 teeth for about 3 months. In the last week he has 2 more bottoms and both top teeth coming in. With that we have run into a problem. LO likes to suck/chew on his bottom lip. It wasn't an issue until the top teeth broke through the gums. Now he's chewing on his bottom lip to the point he's developing a blister! Any advice on how to stop this? His lip has been red and irritated until the last couple of days. The blister isn't deterring him from chewing either. He's got plenty of teething toys and uses them but still with the poor lip.
