  • I'd be adamant about sending him to a class if he won't learn from you. My husband went to a daddy to be pclass (granted he was dying to go to one) and he had a lot of fun! Your husband may end up enjoying it and learning a lot.

If he's willing to use a breast pump, I don't see why he can't go to a class.

  • Send him to a class or get him a newborn care DVD! I am making my way through all of Sherri Bayles' DVDs that are all on Netflix with my husband. We are on the childbirth ones now and she also has a newborn one and a breastfeeding one. She is kind of ridiculous but you really walk away feeling informed. Might be a good combo for your husband :-)

My DH will get on-the-job training.  It's my third, but his first.  He's utterly clueless.  But I know that he's a wonderful, sweet, loving guy and will be an amazing Dad.  Honestly, while it's kind of frustrating being an experienced mom with a clueless Dad, I also feel like there's absolutely no way to truly prepare someone for the reality of baby.

I'm just keeping my sense of humor.
