DH hasn't done anything worthy of mentioning for mother day. Two years ago when I was pregnant with DD, he told me it didn't count because I wasn't a mother yet. Last year he didn't do anything so I'm expecting nothing this year either. Best way to keep myself from being disappointed again.
How many weeks? 28 weeks- eggplant
How are you feeling? pretty terrible- I seem to be like this every week. My hips are dislocating which hurts, I have heart burn from hell which is resulting in me throwing up acid, I have headaches all the time and am relying on paracetamol way too much for my liking and I'm not sleeping. I've also basically quit being human and I am saying whatever the hell I want- I am the biggest B***h atm and everyone should just avoid me.
Anything baby-related to share? we got a dog trainer out to help us prepare the dogs for baby- they are now sleeping in the lounge room instead of the bedroom floor and I feel terrible. They seem to be ok but when I hear them scratching at the gate I get sad.
I have 2 appointments this week- one with the hospital doctor tomorrow, which I'm not sure what is about, and then a hospital physio appointment on Wednesday to see what he can do about my hips and to get a brace to hold my hips in place- hopefully this helps the pain and I'm a bit nicer to be around.
Rants/Raves/Concerns? just sore and tired. Counting down the days until maternity leave (7 more weeks) and hoping for a break from the pain. Also why is it acceptable to comment on a pregnant lady's weight? My aunt wanted to have a big convo about how little I have seemingly put on (which the scale's tell me is a lie), how small my bump is and how small the baby must be. First up, he's measuring 10 days ahead so go F**k yourself. I am over 6 foot tall and he has too much room to stretch out in there- he's just hanging out the back instead of coming out. Second of all, do you want me to have a big convo about how many kg's you have put on because at least I have an excuse.
GTKY: since it's Mother's Day, what are you doing, if anything? FTMs, are you also celebrating yourself? I went out for lunch with my mum and made dinner for mil. I didn't celebrate because there was no time after that. I just wanted to go to bed by the time I got home.

How are you feeling? Fine, but my entire pelvic area is extremely sore, more so than I think is normal.
Anything baby-related to share? Baby shower was yesterday. I was in a pretty sour mood when I got there (I've been a little snappy lately...) but it was a lot of fun and I'm glad so many of my friends made it.
Rants/Raves/Concerns? 1) WHAT is the fascination with touching a pregnant belly?! Unless the baby is moving right then, there's nothing for you to feel and you're just touching me. Ew. I've never wanted to touch a pregnant belly... 2) Dude, don't make jokes about how quickly we got pregnant...AT CHURCH...in front of my MOM...AND I don't even know you!!!! Creep.
GTKY: since it's Mother's Day, what are you doing, if anything? FTMs, are you also celebrating yourself? Today is also our nephew's birthday so we went to my BIL'S to celebrate both. I didn't really plan on "celebrating" myself, and I've gotten mixed responses. No biggie either way.

Was diagnosed with gestational diabetes this week. It blows. But my numbers have been all under the max number so far, so that is good. Have to meet with the nutritionist this week, and see what she says.

We went to our beach house for the weekend, and taught DD to dig for razor clams. We brought my IL's with us. It was relaxing, went for some nice walks, and got some good weather.
How are you feeling? drained...there aren't enough hours in the day for everything I need/want to get done lately
Anything baby-related to share? I had an ultrasound this past week to check the baby's growth & we got our first good peek at his sweet little face. It made my heart melt and made me realize how not far away July actually is...
Rants/Raves/Concerns? 6 days later and my arm still hasn't fully recovered from the tdap shot. Also I had heartburn that made me throw up stomach acid for the first time last night...pretty sure I feel it coming on again tonight too. Yuck. At least this time I'm prepared with a barf bag beside me.
GTKY: since it's Mother's Day, what are you doing, if anything? FTMs, are you also celebrating yourself? I stopped to see my mom this morning & then spent all day at work. I guess I'm sort of celebrating myself. I did buy a heart shaped cake with "mom" written on it when I was at the grocery store yesterday, but mostly just because I really wanted cake. I'm also about to eat one of my favorite meals for dinner: stuffed pork chops with homemade mashed potatoes and garlic green beans. And I didn't even have to cook it myself. I graciously accepted the mother's day wishes I received today, but I also wouldn't have been offended if no one had said anything.

There's a lot of swelling going on and with the weather getting warmer, I'm bracing myself to look like a flotation device

My husband and son made me breakfast, took me downtown to walk around and soak up some sun, then we had a nice lunch together and went to the park. The rest of the day, they let me rest. It was a good day.
