I think the admin should be more concerned with fixing their constantly broken app instead of policing BMBs like they've got nothing better to do
I think this is the most popular opinion of the week. I don't understand why July is being punished for nothing and we have been dropping our amazing regulars at an alarming rate...
Ohandalso. The picture of the women with the yellow nail polish holding the baby foot on the app looks like she has a gnarly fungal infection and grosses me out EVERY TIME a page loads.
Yellow nail polish will forever be a terrible decision.
UO: I think if I've showed up to both of your baby showers and one of your births, AND you expect me to show up for your third baby shower (and your 'gender' reveal, ick), you have close to no excuse to miss my first (and so far only) baby shower. You don't get to ask me what I'm naming my baby (which I haven't released on social media so don't you dare), and when I follow up by asking what you have chosen, you don't get to coyly say 'we aren't telling.' No. If the answer to any baby related question you might get is 'we're not telling' then it is rude for you to ask someone else.
P.s., probably not coming to your baby shower, since one of the last times I visited you told me you planned to stop vaccinating your two older kids. I'm not dicking around with my one month old's immune system in order to be there.

Jesus. She sounds like quite a gem. I'm not sure which part to comment on first but...she sucks. Is this an old friend?
Editing my UO for safety: People I know from real life lurk on this board, and that combined with other things makes me feel uncomfortable posting. There is the sweet but brief version.
UO: I recently learned that one of my non-pregnant/not TTC coworkers lurks on the app (and on this month sometimes) and I'm just waiting for her to talk about all of the crazy banning going on. This outsider access irks me even more now that the regulars are being censored. I feel almost like a zoo animal, or like a pawn being coached into the best entertainment value by a reality show producer (leech). For many, many reasons this no longer feels like a safe space. I don't think that means I should be forced to walk away from the support and relationships I have developed here since the start of my pregnancy.
@nerdchild that is really creepy....like why would anyone want to lurk on a pregnancy board especially when they're not even TTC?! That is just plain weird.
@mandyjulie My cousin that was partially raised by my mom after her mom bailed on my uncle and the kids (he did trucking so was OOT often). It's not like she and I aren't close. I get that it's for her sister's college graduation, but she hasn't even been the one to tell me yet (her dad did) and she's known about this for over a month. She's also telling me that she hopes my cross country, military mandated move gets pushed back enough for me to attend her shower. It's like prego-wars that I didn't know I was participating in.
UO: There was a post in the June BMB that someone was getting induced at 39weeks. Though her reasoning for induction was weak, the amount of sh*tstorm that rained on her was probably not necessary. A lot of bumpies gave horrifying stats on what could go wrong. I'm getting induced at 39weeks for medical reasons and this convo made me pretty damn upset.
@nerdchild That's seriously effing weird. Has anyone asked her wtf she is doing? Seriously, if she's doing anything other than research t decide if she wants to get pregnant, then she should be fucking WATCHED. All I can think is that she is waiting for babies to be born so she can steal them. She doesn't have any extended leave planned anytime soon wherein she could disappear across borders without suspicion, does she?
@Nerdchild oh heck no! I can see a crappy friend but a family member, um no! And this is her third kid! Why she acting all competitive and petty?!? #girlbye
@Kellyj103 I've moved to the periphery of her social circle because I'm not religious and lag behind her by about 7 years on having kids. We are just over a year apart in age and have very different life paths. I don't think it's intentional rudeness, but I don't blip on her radar as having my own big milestones anymore.
My UO is that I don't know that I want my baby around my baby sister. My mom just told me the other day that baby sister has never been vaccinated. She's eight. My family is extremely close and it would be devastating to keep my child from one of my siblings.

That's a tough call and she should be on her second round for somethings coming up. I think you get a TDAP again when you're 11? You might have to explain to your mom your sister can't come around the baby until your child is all set.

@stephweinstein I saw that too.. I am possibly being induced at 38 weeks for medical reasons and I'm a little terrified now. I usually try to stay away from Dr. Google, but I had to look up success stories of being induced early to make myself feel better! Didn't really help. With the Star Wars theme we have going on, my UO is that I really didn't like the prequels. DH and I have this debate all the time because he loved them.
My UO: I've NEVER watched Star Wars and don't understand the hype about it. Half of the siggy pictures I don't understand. Tried to watch one of them a few different times when I was younger and I fell asleep every single time.

Just kidding. I thought the music and the Darth Maul fight were awesome. I love Ewan McGregor & Liam Neeson. But, I agree with you in general.
@schaze@stephweinstein Don't be upset/terrified. They were going off about unnecessary inductions. You have to weigh cost/benefits, first of all, and clearly there is a potential medical benefit to your inductions. There may be other risks but weighed against the risk of not being induced early, your doctors see this as the better option. Unless your gut is telling you your doc is wrong (then please go get a second opinion), they have your best interest in mind here. Second, there are loads of successful early inductions, and I'm one of those stories. Third, don't listen to those ladies. They're too boring to care about.

Here's one for the admins- you might want to check the logic behind the counter/ticker functionality that is VERY prominently displayed on your app.
If today is the FIRST day of week 31 for me, that makes tomorrow day 2. There are seven days in a week. There are not 6 days then the last day of the week.
It seems the lack of critical thinking extends beyond all the bans into basic counting.

Oh hell no. I'm also being induced at 39 weeks. Some of the best doctors in the northeast have decided this and I have asked all sorts of questions as to why, the logic behind it makes sense.

I didn't understand their math with that either.

UO- If you're going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by drinking margaritas and beers... at least have an inkling about what the holiday is actually celebrating.

@LadyFleck my only guess is she hasn't had anything good to watch on t.v. lately.

OMG @nerdchild - I had no idea. They're definitely a more touchy/feely group than this one.
