Toddlers: 24 Months+

I know I shouldn't laugh but

the ways that DD can say "no" are freakin' hilarious!

"Can mommy have a bite?" or "Can daddy wear your hat?"
"Noooooooo." (drawn out with the "you're crazy" tone)

When we're doing something she doesn't like or is interfering with her, the shrieking "NO!"

When she is scolding the cat or dog, "no, no, no" with a finger wag.

When she doesn't care for what we are going to do like wipe her face, nose or change her diaper, "no, no, 'way" (which is what we say to the dog - no, away)

When she is busy and doesn't care to go to bed or do whatever, the matter-of-fact "no" or shake of her head.

Just kills me.  And every now and again we get the rare "Yes" said in similar tones.  Cracks me up.  I can't wait to see what she'll say next.

This is just like DD's No's. And she puckers up her lips while doing it giving me the eye. It is really cute!

  • That is really cute.  I think one of the hardest things about parenting is not laughing at the bad behavior!
