Baby Classes, Childbirth Classes and New Mom Support

Hi everyone! Check out the classes below at the Newton JCC. You do not have to be a member of the JCC or Jewish to take part in all the amazing offerings. Take a class today and form life long friendships and gain support and guidance during this precious time. Link is at the bottom as well. FOR NEW MOMS!
New Arrivals
For moms with babies ages 0-3 months
Share the journey of motherhood with other new moms in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment. This class covers topics such as soothing your baby, infant sleep patterns, tummy time, new roles and relationships, and includes interactive activities such as infant massage, finger plays and songs.

Getting to Know You
For moms with babies ages 3-6 months
Your baby is now more alert and interactive! Experience new ways to engage your baby through songs, parachute play and other developmentally appropriate activities. The class covers topics such as getting out and about, feeding the family, safety and babyproofing, sleep, and wellness.

DEVELOPMENTAL PLAY CLASS FOR TODDLERS!
Bizzy Bees
For toddlers ages 16-24 months, with adult
As your toddler begins to move/walk and talk more, this class will have a variety of activity stations designed to help continue to develop fine and gross motor skills and even greater sensory awareness. Discussions will focus on positive discipline, picky eating, sleep, toileting readiness and much more.

FOR EXPECTANT PARENTS!
Childbirth Preparation Class
In this comprehensive, evidence-based class you and your partner will prepare for a positive birthing experience by learning about nutrition, exercise, reducing labor risks, the different stages of labor, pain management, various comfort techniques, the importance of breathing and more. You will create your own birth plan and become familiar with the immediate post partum period. You will leave with increased confidence, ready for this next exciting stage in your lives.
