Hi ladies, sorry it has taken so long to write this it has been quite the adjustment.
As most of you know it was decided that I would be induced at 40wks due to chronic controlled high blood pressure because the medication I take could compromised the life of the placenta. I went into the hospital a week ago today on my birthday/due date March 31st. I thoroughly expected to have an April Fools baby, but the joke was on us. After laboring and getting stuck at 3 cm dilated for 7 hours and 9 cm dilated for 3 hours and a whole lot of labor time in between for a grand total of 29 hours in labor we decided that it was best to take her out via c-section due to not progressing any further and the baby not dropping. We thought she might have been sunny side up or just a big baby she was neither she just really liked her womb home.
Abigail Magdalena made her debut at 3:57AM April 2nd and was 7lbs 11ozs 20.5 inches.
We were having a lot of trouble in the hospital with breast feeding, but she finally has the hang of it. For those of you FTM's know that it is okay the first days are just really rough, they don't know how to eat and you don't know how to feed them, but everything will be okay.
Thank you so much for all your love and support throughout this whole process. I have also officially passed the 1 year milestones of my loss while I was in the hospital. I know how hard this is, but the end result of this little rainbow is worth everything.
