This is a mesh between a WTF and unpopular opinion maybe.

DH's cousin had her baby by c-section Tuesday, and MIL was raring to go visit last night and pulling DH to go with her. So I went too, because cousin DID say she'doesn't be okay to see us.

Side note: new baby cousin is so so cute and I held him as long as I could and it made my pregnancy feel a little more real and I'm so excited!!

Continuing on, cousin was describing how she's so glad to have baby here, because she didn't like being pregnant, despite the difficulty it took to conceive. Some people like being pregnant, like her sweet friend who just had twins, #4 and #5. (Okay, I'm fine with these statements)

Then MIL goes: yeah, all those silly Fertile Myrtles who love being pregnant and continue to have babies ....

My unpopular opinion is this: She doesn't know we're pregnant yet, but I was hurt by her tone and statement because so far I love being pregnant, I want 4 kids or so because I grew up in large families, and I happen to get pregnant 2 weeks after stopping my birth control. I just felt like her Fertile Myrtle comment was a dig at me even though she has no idea yet.

UO: I don't want to tell MIL we're expecting, because I'm irrational and overly sensitive.

UO: I don't want to tell MIL we're expecting, because I'm irrational and overly sensitive.
To the BOLDED: You aren't. Depending on her personality and your relationship with her she could very well have been making a dig. BUUUUUTTTT, who cares? They won't be her kids, they will be yours. As long as you love them, take care of them, and don't abuse family as babysitters she can go sit on a frog.

To the ITALICIZED: Sometimes when women come off of BCPs they ovulate quickly with multiple eggs, sometimes they don't ovulate for several months. Everyone is different, and your body adjusted in away that isn't the most commonly talked about.

My UO is that MILs should have to take a class on how to NOT be a major PITA to their DILs. Or maybe I'm just grouchy and my MIL has just rubbed me wrong since before we met.

My UO goes to a jerk on FB who made a comment on a photo I posted of DS at breakfast drinking from his bottle. Jerk says "It's DS a little too old to be bottle drinking?"... and I want to scream. Sure, DS is 19 months and shouldn't be drinking from a bottle... BUT DS also has pulmonary issues, takes multiple meds my mouth and won't drink all his medications unless we hide them in a bottle. The rest of the day he is perfectly content with his almond milk in a straw cup. What gets me is that I don't think I owe that explanation, damnit. If I want my 18 year old to drink from a bottle, I'm the Mama. Not you.

They make a giant profit on one house that's more than a lot of people make in a year, so that Christina can continue wearing designer clothes and bleaching her hair.

I can't watch Flip or Flop anymore because of Christina.  She could order a coffee and it would sound like she's whining to me.  Chip and Joanna are awesome.  I wish they could be my friends IRL.

I agree that Flip or Flop is pretty dang annoying.  It was cool the first 2 times I watched it.

My UO is that I wish I had some pregnancy symptoms.  I feel so normal it makes me feel like I'm not pregnant and that I dreamed the whole thing up.   I will take vomiting over this insecurity!  (I know...you people who are vomiting are probably rolling your eyes, I get it!)

I feel like bus stop etiquette has gone to total shit.  If a kid's bus stop is outside your house, you should be waiting OUTSIDE not in the house and then run down the yard/driveway to get on the bus.  If you're not outside the bus shouldn't even stop.

Don't get me started about the bus stop at my neighborhood.  It is dangerous with all the parents cars lined up.  What happened to walking to the bus?  Are that many kids abducted?   Assign a parent for each day of the week to chaperon and drop your kid off to wait with all the other kids in the hood.   Maybe I'll feel differently with one of my own, but at this point I think both things are lunacy.

Actually! That's funny you say that because our hospital HAS classes for soon-to-be grandparents! It is actually a really great idea. They discuss ways grandparents can support the new parents, but they also drill in that's it's not their children and they need to cope with that fact.

@Sugargirl1019, she told the entire family; H's dad's side, her side, H's step dad's side, and his birth mom's side; that I was a giant bitch, I couldn't only have one lover at a time, I was a know it all, mormon scumbag. All before I had ever met her. Then she denied it, for almost 4 years, before she admitted it when H told her to F off when we couldn't afford to come down for Christmas.

This drives me crazy, too! When I was a kid, the bus would keep going if you weren't at your stop. Now, the buses in my area will wait actually wait for a minute or two if the kids aren't out there. And, the kids walk soooooo slooooowly to the bus. They could not care less about anyone waiting for them.

Haha so accurate. I don't love House Hunters because most of the couples drive me nuts and I've heard several times it's super fake (reality TV, no way!). And I wish I liked Rehab Addict because it's in my area but her chipmunk voice gets to me. I do like pretty much everything else though- Love it or List it, Property Brothers, etc.

I'm also really hoping at least the next couple weeks fly by til my dating u/s. Trying to take it easy and enjoy it, but really the first tri is mostly terror and misery so I don't feel too bad about wanting it to be done with.

My UO is that I don't like being pregnant. LOVE having a baby, LOVE breastfeeding. But being pregnant? Not so much. It has always been immensely hard on my body (last time, I had SPD - symphsis pubis dysfunction - it's as horrendously unpleasant as it sounds). I'm so thankful my body is able to sustain and birth life and it's truly astounding what the female body can do. But I'm also really thankful this journey is only 9 months.

@PrettyPalomino have you tried the hair tie trick? Where you use a hair tie to give you an extra inch or so, by putting it around the button. Also belly bands are awesome, I wore mine through the bloat last time, just left my button undone and pulled the belly band Over the pants.
