I'd caution against doing this too early. Nearly every BMB has some crazy drama that erupts and there ends up being a catfish or something. Let's get to know each other a little better first. Thanks for doing that, though.

That's fine, my September group did this just then people can grow together from.the get go and it's more obvious who is fake

I can't believe that people actually catfish these groups.....Dating catfish can SOMEWHAT make sense i guess, even then it's creepy, but what kind of a sick individual would fake a pregnancy???

@juliehollz13 - oh it happens!  Not sure if you saw my response to this kind of question over in TTC, but (a PSA for everyone else) we had a really bad one on my old BMB.  Faked a pregnancy, birth of twins, death of a child and then became a stalker to one of our members.  

We will feel like we're all friends here over the next few months... Please still proceed with caution. These forums are public and the more personal info you share the more likely you are to be targeted.  It's very sad that people out there so this kind of thing, but they do.  It's better to be cautious and protect your family.

@DiFazette has a point and I never really thought about it. Recently I've been "googling" pregnancy stuff and the results bring me to forums dating back to 2010 and even earlier. Whatever we publicize on here will never go away :-/

In another pregnancy forum I was in, there wasn't a catfish but a group of ladies made a private group after no one joined their early FB group. In it they collected the personal info that had been shared since the start. They used it actually stalk some people they didn't like. They send emails to them at work, letters to their homes and other really messed up shit.
