Teething - Help!!

After surviving daylights saving, growth spurt, and six month shots... We just had 3 nights of good sleep... Well, the light at the end of the tunnel was an oncoming train because I think she's started teething. She screamed bloody murder at every nap today and would cry on and off all day. She's normally a happy, easy going baby. I thought she was just overtired. Tonight it took 2.5 hours of screaming... Nothing worked. I finally gave her Tylenol because I suspected teething, and then she was finally able to sleep.

My my pediatrician said try not to use Tylenol or Motrin "because babies teerh, they get through it." but I was crying as I held her listening to her cry that way and be in possible pain and not be able to do anything.

For or those who have gone through it, any tips?? I have lots of teethers. Is Tylenol ok? How often? How long does it usually last?

Re: Teething - Help!!

  • We have found some relief for LO with a frozen damp washcloth that she chews on and using one of those mesh feeders with frozen breastmilk cubes (we have a tiny cube ice tray). Seems to really soothe her sore gums.
  • Loading the player...
  • Amber teething necklace, highland teething tabs, frozen wash cloths, gum massage. My MD said only give tylenol if they get a high fever. My lo popped two teeth out two weeks ago it was hard on him. I'm almost certain he's getting his top two now as well.
  • Just saw my prediction yesterday and he said she's starting to teeth and giving Tylenol at night is okay to help baby sleep.
  • Pediatrician* jez stupid auto correct
