Week/fruit: 35 weeks

Symptoms:  Braxton hicks, tiredness but feeling really well for being this pregnant!

Rants/raves:  Everything is coming along really well for the nursery, we bought a shelving unit for the closet this weekend and we have our last shower this coming weekend!

Upcoming Appointments: Thursday regular OB and Wed. non-stress test/biophysical

Week/fruit: 36/2 liter of Mountain Dew

Symptoms: Spotting, headaches, back pain, hip pain, loss of mucus plug, ugly crying, aching chest, rib pain, "poop or contraction?"

Rants/raves: Remember when you graduate high school and thought, "finally, I can get away from all of this immature drama"? I remembered again that some people never grow out of middle/high school crap.

Upcoming: Things got moved around a lot because of my back/hip issues, so nothing until the 31st.

GTKY: What traits would you like LO to inherit from you and DH/SO? I'm hoping LO gets blue eyes like DH and DS. I have hazel eyes and I find them so boring... DH always says that he hopes all of our kids are smart like I am but artistic like he is. Part of me hopes that LO won't get my red hair. DS's hair is a red-brown, which isn't as crazy, but I think that adult men with red hair tend to look funny...

Week/fruit 35/coconut 
Symptoms: crazy nesting has passed (please come back!! I'm not done yet!), and mostly I'm just a raging bitch. My feet are horribly swollen, and it's taking some effort to keep my BP in check. 
Rants/raves: I hate this last bit of pregnancy. Really hate it. 
Upcoming: I think next Tuesday. 
GTKY: dh's good teeth and webbed toes. Or pretty much everything. He has superior genetics.

37/winter melon

Symptoms:

fatigue, back and hip pain, per usual. Baby is still sitting really high and no other signs of labor on the horizon... but I'm ready when he/she is!

Rants/raves: 

I got a prenatal massage yesterday, which was pretty wonderful. Feeling anxious to wrap up work and have more time to mentally prepare for labor / becoming a mom. I'm thankful I'm still able to be active and walk a lot, as it helps all my physical aches and pains.

Wednesday for general check in

I hope LO gets his math / quantitative skills, and learns to love literature and feminism and philosophy and stuff from me.

Week/fruit:  36/melon

Symptoms: back pain, cramping/stretching down low

Rants/raves: I'm wrapping up a major grant application this week (as in, all of our jobs depend on this round of funding).  It'll be out of hands at that point and I won't get the results until early summer.  I'm ready for it to be done so I can focus on baby!

Upcoming appointment: Wednesday begins the once-a-week visits...last visit rotating through the rest of the practice and then next week it's back to my doc.
