@cmm012 Congrats on getting to start the stims tomorrow! @mtpbadger 13 is a great number! FX that they keep growing and become awesome candidates to freeze (if freeze all ends up happening...)!!
I have been away for a couple of days. I had my ER on Tues and it kicked my butt. I tried to go back to work yesterday but I ended up having to leave early because of the pain and nausea.
@mtpbadger , @MntnGirl , @Tusername Congrats on the awesome retrieval numbers!! I am so excited to see your little embabies grow!
AFM - We got a call yesterday letting us know that they got 20 eggs, 14 were mature and 13 fertilized! I am so excited that so many fertilized. They will call us tomorrow with a day 3 update and then again on day 5 to tell us how many they will freeze. I will be preparing for an FET as well which I am guessing will be in June sometime. I am so excited to see everyone's progress and to have so many ladies to go through this with.

@mtpbadger congratulations on the great numbers! Hopefully they will all grow beautifully
@kerami1 I'm sorry to hear the ER kicked your butt. Sounds similar to my experience. Hopefully you'll be feeling better in no time! And congrats to you as well on the great fertilization rate!

@ledavi4 Every cycle is customized to the individual. I started Follistim on CD3. Are there other reasons why you don't trust your RE's plan? I would trust them over what you read on here because they base your protocol on history, blood work, etc.
@caseyw8784 After ER I had mac n cheese and Ben & Jerry's. No regrets. I'm sorry you're having to herd cats to get PGD testing complete.

Hi all. Newbie here. I'm 27, DH is 32 and was diagnosed with severe MFI. We'll be starting IVF shortly, but I had a question for you all. We're blessed that DH's insurance covers IVF, and my coverage starts the 12th of this month. What cycle day does everything with IVF start? The 12th will be my cycle day 4 I believe. Did we really miss being able to start this month by 4 days or do I have enough wiggle room in there?
@LittleSap92014 I'm wondering if you can get on BCPs before and then really start IVF treatment after. I think most things start around CD3. Good luck and welcome!

@dragonfaerie that was my thought as well. The office was closed today by the time I found out my coverage date, so I'll surely be calling tomorrow. Thank you so much!
@LittleSap92014 Hi and welcome! You'll find so many ladies here with great advice and support!
Many insurance companies and policies can be completely different, so I would advise that the best way to find out would be to call both your doctor and the insurance company. Your doctor would be able to tell you when their typical IVF cycle/meds would start, and your insurance company would be able to tell you when the IVF coverage would start. For me, for example, IVF is also completely covered, however, my RE had to send in paperwork to get "prior authorization" before we could do anything, and insurance took a few weeks to process and approve the request. Hope this helps!
@LittleSap92014 A lot of times the cycle days can be flexible, definitely call and see what they can do! Maybe they'll be really nice and just postpone billing you until after the insurance kicks in!

@babylonghorn I really think the main thing that made me sick was not being able to eat anything for so long. My ER was at 12:30 pm and I hadn’t eaten since 8pm the night before. I was feeling pretty sick before they took me in and very fainty with the IV catheter placement. So, it was likely just a combination of everything.
@mtpbadger Yes, we may be FET buddies! I don’t have nay exact information yet. RE just said that I will be able to do my transfer next cycle. Just guessing I’m thinking it could be the first week of June?? I’m So SO excited for your number fertilized! That’s so great!!
@chickyclg The 25th will be here soon! Do what you can to stay relaxed but I totally understand the nervousness.
@mntngirl Congrats on being done with your ER and great numbers! My experience getting my IV catheter in wasn’t the best either!
@Tulips29 Yup, I was definitely out of commission yesterday for sure. Good luck with your ET tomorrow!! How exciting!
Hi everyone- so happy for everyone's ERs! @ultratomato - congrats! so happy for you! Praying for good news. How many days past your transfer did you have your first Beta? @tusername - i also got nausea after my ER - but that made me realize I now get nausea after the medicine so they put in anti-nausea medicine going forward (hopefully you will not need surgery again, but in case you do - now you know!) Great numbers on your eggs too!
AFM - the estrogen shots are making my boobs sore! Other than that, no complaints. Actually, I don't know if its the medicine but I've been feeling extra frisky with the DH lately :-) I have my lining check in 5 days and then counting down the days to my ET!

AFM - I'll start Gonal-f and menopur on Sunday and I'm having my first monitoring visit next Wednesday!! Exciting to finally start! My nurse just left me a message with all the info and she said that they'll need an urine sample as well. I thought it was just an US and BW, do you all have that too? I was just wondering what it is for because I've never heard of it.
@SanBL I had a urine sample I think as well.. It may be as simple as really making sure you aren't pregnant. But I can't remember.

I've never had to give a urine sample at my RE's office unless it was before a procedure (saline sono, HSG, etc) to ensure I wasn't pregnant. Also had the beta blood test before starting each round of stims but that's usually done the day of baseline.
AFM - 13 embabies still going strong! Won't get an update until Monday morning (day 5). I'm tentatively scheduled for a transfer 10:45am on Monday JUST in case nothing makes it to freeze, otherwise will be doing a freeze all and FET sometime in June. This makes it difficult to plan for work/leave on Monday since my RE won't call until the office opens on Monday to let me know one way or the other, but it will take about 45min-70min to get to the clinic dealing with rush hour traffic.
