My baby just had his 1 month check up and was in the 5o-55 percentile on everything but in the 10 percentile for the size of his head. The dr didn't seem concerned, but I am. Should I be or is this normal?
If your doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't be. They'll probably check again at the 2 month appointment to see if he's catching up. My nephew has been in the 90th percentile for head size his whole life and they let my SIL know that they were concerned. They did some tests and when they came back normal they said he's just a kid with a big head and he should grow into it
It's really no big deal. Some people have smaller heads than others. My friend's DS has always been smaller in his head measurement than height and weight. It really means nothing and he is perfectly proportioned.
