I just finished our guest list for our shower host. It made me wonder if I should add more to our registry. Our parents have all graciously picked the big items to gift us. Based on what I personally spend on shower gifts, $50-$75, I don't think we have enough items on it. Our absolute most expensive item is $50. Should I just assume people will buy clothes to fill in to get to the desired amount they like to spend? I thought it would be fun to "poll the audience". If I somehow missed a poll like this when I searched, GIF party it up!

Re: How much on average do you spend on baby shower gifts?
The last baby shower (which I was unable to go), I bought a pack of diapers, a 'pretty gift' and a $25 gift card to a really good used clothing store (Kids to Kids). It is their 2nd child, but the other sex.
I will definitely buy multiple gifts until I get to my target amount. I actually prefer this because it feels like I'm getting the person "more" rather than just 1 bigger gift. I like when people have more inexpensive gifts too because I think it's gives me more things to choose from.
