This might be a total flop, but who knows. Does anyone else take a ridiculous number of selfies while wearing the baby?
Show them off!
What kind of wrap are you using and how does baby like it?
I use a DIY Woven Wrap in a front cross carry. I just started wrapping her with her legs out and she sleeps wonderfully... at least until we both get too hot and sweaty.
My moby wrap after I figured out the front cross wrap wasn't for us and before I got the rings to truly concer it into a sling. This was just around the house so I wasn't worried, but he seems WAY more comfy this style of wearing. We use it everywhere we go, whether it's the grocery store or out to dinner (so much easier than toting the car seat!)
@maureenmce Dooo it! I have my love/hate moments with the wrap, but for the most part, it's pretty great. It took me a while to figure out the best way to do it and to feel comfortable/feel that she's actually IN there and won't fall... Once I got it though, boom baby! Wearing her just about every time she gets fussy. And with colic, that's a lot. I will mention, baby has been wrapped for a couple hours now and I am sweating in places that are not polite to be discussed in public...
Live with being sweaty? Or risk waking the sleeping bear? Lol
The top is baby bjorn and bottom is boba. Our Tula is on the way! She seems to like being carried just fine, but usually it's easier just to hold her and then put her down when she's relaxed. When our Tula arrives I'm gonna use the heck out of it though!
DH, LO, and I all love our Moby! @maureenmce it was super intimidating at first, but after 1 or 2 times all that fabric seems so much more manageable! I will add that DD did not like the newborn hug hold, but is very happy with the basic hold.
This was us using the moby wrap for the first time. It was intimidating initially, but I love it now. We also really like the baby K'tan, it's a bit easier to use when out and about.
@mrsnc I'm so jealous that you convince your husband to wear your baby! SO won't do it. He says he doesn't have the boobs, she clearly won't be comfortable... *eye roll*
Ergo 360, currently using the infant insert. It tends to get a bit warm but We both love it! just ordered the boba wrap as well, Hoping I can sit down in that one of needed. It's a bit hard in the ergo where it straps across the hips. Baby carrying is the greatest invention ever to get things done.
Ergo with infant insert. He def prefers this over our solly baby wrap. @WineBaby122 your Solly wrap looks so much bigger than mine - when I wrap my son it's like he's in a sausage casing. Do you think I'm doing it wrong and are you using the newborn wrap style or the regular? My baby's head never seems to stay tucked in either...I had such high hopes for it!
*question* baby wearers, LO gets super fussy when he gets hot. With us living in the south and it's already getting humid, I don't know which baby carrier is best (or if we should do it at all) i have a baby Bjorne carrier (that I have no idea how to use. Any suggestions?
We love our Moby wrap! This thing has seriously been the best thing ever! LO loves to go on walks and take naps in it. She hated her legs crunched up in it and once I figured that out and tried the legs out wrap she has been satisfied. She's just so snuggly. I always tell DH that it feels like the closest thing to being pregnant again. I wish I had this when my other two were babies. When little girl gets tired I just pop her in the wrap and bounce a little on my exercise ball and she's out like a light. Walks in the wrap have the same effect. My DH and I went on a 3 mile hike yesterday and she slept through the whole thing.
look into a cooling towel, like the frogg togg. My son was born in April in Atlanta so it was hot from the get go, it was a life saver and we will definitely be using it again with my little girl. @carlyhammond
I loved the kangaroo shirt I had for the first week after he was born for skin to skin (first pic), then we moved to the boba wrap (throat chop and outside picture) and I even got my husband to wear it! Today babe had his first nap in the Boba 4 (he hadn't liked it as much as the wrap so far, but I'm trying to convince him to like it since I plan on using it a lot when we travel in two weeks!). Considering getting a ring sling too...
We went to the polls today for Super Tuesday! Then a cafe for coffee and pastries. He was conked out the whole time, and the old ladies at the polls complained they couldn't see him enough, haha.
We have the mama n kangaroo sling, I really enjoy baby wearing but am not a huge fan of the carrier so I'm thinking of ordering a boba wrap or k'tan as well
I love my wrapsody breeze! It's the best gauze wrap for hot weather. Also I'm hot most of the time any way. I can't wait for him to uncurl so we can do legs out. My boobs are to big for newborn carries and it's awkward. But we work it out.
I usually wrap DS whenever we go out. I'm currently in love with Lenny Lamb sooo soft. DH has no issue carrying DD in a SSC while hiking. It takes some sweet talking, but I can usually get DH to wear DD on shopping trips. I've only tandem carried in the house. I'm going to a friend's wedding out of state late June and I'm already debating which carriers to bring.
@missperky Just seeing you wearing both! My goodness! First thing I thought was "Super Woman!" Lol my 14 month old got jealous, so I attempted to wrap him. Mind you, my 14 month old weighs 32 lbs. Perfectly healthy, just an absolute tank. I thought I was going to die. So heavy! Hahaha but he was so damn cute!
We do our morning walks with her in the ergo with the infant insert. (I have a tiny little thing, what can I say lol her head is JUST starting to be able to pop out, those photos are 2 weeks ago). I super want a ring sling though!!!! Looking good ladies! And Gents too!
@BarrettJ89 Yes! I totally felt like super woman carrying them both. I had DS in a wrap and DD in a SSC. DD is 27lbs and DS about 10lbs. They surprisingly felt pretty light, but I doubt I could make a trip around my cul-de-sac let alone through the grocery store.

Edit: swipe is clearly drunk...

I'm obsessed with our Solly, but also use the ring sling at times.

Top is in the ergo with the infant insert, which is super convenient for out and about, and bottom is the moby on our walk to vote today

The mei tai. We also have the ergo which is probably my preference. I have the moby but it takes me too long and I can never get the right wrap twice.
But carrying both? Not happening. I'll fall over.
I super want a ring sling though!!!!
Looking good ladies! And Gents too!
