DS constantly has diaper cream rolled under his skin around the tip of his little didle... I wipe it off every diaper change but it seems to bug him when I clean it. I'm as gentle as I can be while pushing the skin back but I never feel like I'm cleaning it enough. His doctor said it'll go away during bathtime and its okay to clean it as long as the skin doesn't stay pushed back after I wipe it. I try and keep the diaper cream away from it so it won't get stuck on it but it doesn't work. Any other mommies with little boys have this issue?
I don't have that but I do find he gets a lot of diaper fuzz stuck in there if I use Target diapers and sometimes Pampers. Looks like little strings of cotton. I just clean it off during diapers changes with a wipe if there's any and then also clean it in the bath. I wouldn't think diaper cream would hurt him all that much, but I do understand the frustration as a fellow boy mom. This is the exact thing I was worried about as soon as I heard "boy." Lots of places for things to hide LLL
We don't have this issue because I've honestly never used any diaper cream on him as he's never needed it. But like PP mentioned, he does tend to get a bit of buildup of dead skin. Sometimes I'll wipe it away during a diaper change if I notice it. If not I usually do a quick cleaning in the bath to take care of that.
Is your LO circumcised or not? If he is I wouldn't think he has skin for it to get under? Mine is not circumcised and he gets diaper cream and stuff under it all the time. I just swipe it out at changes and in the tubby. I figure it is similar to all the nooks and crannies you have to clean on a little girl. No one LIKES someone fussing around with their little bits, but they need to be cleaned! =D
I wipe it every other diaper change or something since there's a secretion that comes out and can almost lightly glue it down anyway if it's never cleaned.
My LO is circumcised and he gets dead skin under the skin closest to the head of his penis. I pretty much always check this area when I change his diaper as I am super paranoid that he might get a hair wrapped around there (I have long hair that has been shedding like crazy so it is literally everywhere!). My LO doesn't seem to mind when I check or wipe his area but even if he was I'd keep doing it, I'd rather he was a little upset with me than have a hair wrapped around his penis!

Mine is falling out all the time too and I'm worried about my hair getting caught on it too! Maybe it is dead skin and not cream...I'm not sure.
We also push DS's skin back when cleaning it. Could it be the type of wipes you're using? We use Pampers sensitive and water wipes. DS doesn't mind at all. For diaper cream, we use Aquaphor and it works great. I also check because I have been shedding like crazy.

Be careful using water wipes, they are a breading ground for bacteria. Warm, dark, and moist, and since they only have water and fruit extract there is nothing to inhibit bacteria growth. Definitely do not leave them in your car in the summer.

my baby is uncut and they said not to push back the skin and force it back because it hasn't completely separated yet he is too young.. So if there is anything in there I hope bathtime gets it because I haven't ever pulled his skin back to look.
