My friends who overwhelmingly voted girl ended up being right. No one in the family placed bets, and I think when I posted on that thread I hadn't even let myself fully accept that I was even having a baby. I've since fully accepted the reality of everything and can visualize our baby.
I called my womb nugget boy pronouns since we found out we were pregnant. Everyone else convinced girl, mom had 3 girl dreams. Baby's got a penis so I guess I win. Honestly, I'm just happy I'm having a healthy baby.
@Weville We paddle board a lot in the summer and you can see manatees sometimes in the sounds around here. Maybe this summer if I can get on my paddle board without sinking it I'll catch a few glimpses. That would be a good omen, right?
@elenabrent Absolutely! I'm a hair away from throwing out our original nursery idea and just covering the room in manatee. Maybe I should name him Manny? Haha. Oh my
I thought it was another boy just bc I feel like I'm going to be a mother of boys! My symptoms were very very different this time though so everyone else kept saying maybe it's a girl! Nope I was right!
Everyone told me I was having a girl this time around, I just knew it was a boy haha and lo and behold: another boy! Couldn't be happier, it would be nice to have a girl one day just to experience both though!
I didn't guess in the first post, we didn't have a preference either way. Just want to bring a baby home. I was right though lol From the very beginning I was never 100% "sure" but obviously had a subconscious guess because I always used masculine pronouns. I also always said that, since it was our stubborn child that it HAD to be a boy, because we instantly picked a girl's name we loved and agreed on. We fought over every boy's name Everyone (with the exception of 3 people) was convinced it was a girl, including DH. I was right, and he finally has a name that fits lol
I didn't really have a guess but my husband was adamant that it would be a boy. The receptionist at my OB said it would be a girl and my husband bet her an apple pie that it would be a boy. My husband won and asks where his apple pie is at every appointment.
I was so very wrong. Such is life. I was for sure it was a boy and we're having a girl! LO's dad is scared as hell at the thought of raising a daughter but I'm ecstatic!
I was right with both babies! I had dreams of the correct sex with each and just "knew" deep, down inside that my first was a boy and this one was a girl (no matter how badly I wanted her to be a boy!!!). I'd even subconsciously refer to them with the correct pronouns before I knew the sex. I don't consider myself a psychic by any stretch of the imagination but I've also guessed each and every one of my nieces/nephews and pseudo-nieces/nephews in the past 15 years correctly, just based on a hunch.
