first pregnany symptoms?

I've been reading the 1st tri board and it seems people are having all sorts of symptoms when they are like 4,5 and 6 weeks pregnant...so thought i'd ask girls I trust :)

when did you start having pregnancy symptoms? morning sickness, soreness, any others i'm not thinking of?

Re: first pregnany symptoms?

  • With #1 I had morning sickness right away.  I would gag when I brushed my teeth and my boobs were really sore.  It was because of that and AF being late that I POAS.

With #2 I had no symptoms at all until maybe 7 or 8 weeks.

  • With Micaela... I was around 6 weeks when the MS kicked in.. I would work @ the Wendy's I worked at in high school when I was home on breaks from SFA... I walked into work one day and turned right back around and ran to the bathroom.  (I had no clue I was pregnant... I didn't take a test until I was like 7/8 weeks)

With Kaitlyn... by like week 2-3.  I started getting nauseous in the car all the time (which I did with Micaela), but other than that I had no symptoms.  (But the first time I got nauseous, my immediate thought was OMG i'M PREGNANT!)  I tested once my period was late and I got a bfp.  I already knew... that was just confirmation for Chad. lol

  • Very keen sense of smell, heartburn (started really early with this one), aversion to wine, sore throat (random, I know) are some that stood out of for me in addition to the usual m/s, boobage issues.

  • Let's see..wk 4 I had period type cramping.

    wk 5...boobs sore sore sore!

wk 6 ...kind of a hardening of the muscle under my boobs.

    No real MS.....yet....

  • I never had M/S or boob issues.

I had a keen sense of smell beforehand, but it got worse.  I didn't know I was pregnant until 6 weeks or so.  The smell thing came maybe a month after?

  • I had sore boobs well before my BFP.  I then had cramping but no morning sickness.  I spotted off and on throughout the first trimester, which was a little scary, but the ultrasounds always indicated everything was normal.
  • I craved Mexican food at 8:00 in the morning.  DH was convinced, but the previous 3 tests were negative.  The next morning I took another and got my BFP.  The nausea, boobs, etc. started around 6 weeks.
  • with Luca...  Nothing...  missed period....

With this one...  nausea, exhaustion, and strange twinges...  almost ASAP...

  • I found out at around 6 weeks and the day I tested I noticed that my sense of smell was really sensitive to EVERYTHING.

I haven't had any real morning sickness (so far...).  I had an aversion to all asian food and anything spicy or strong flavored during the entire first trimester. Also was very tired during the first trimester.

  • With both pregnancies I started having symptoms almost immediately.  I had light-headedness and sore boobs, then later on a bit of nausea.  But I think some people truly do have no symptoms initially.

  • My boobs were really sore - prob. around 5 weeks b/c  I was thinking it was just really bad PMS (then I realized I was "PMSing" for like 2 weeks!).  I POAS b/c i hadn't seen AF in a long time.  I was around 7 wks when I tested.  I had also noticed during that time (around 6 wks) that I was getting nauseous at night (it was b/c I wasn't eating much dinner, so I was really just hungry - but that never happened to me pre-pg).  At the time, I just thought I had an upset stomach or something, but then after I tested, I realized that I had to make sure to snack at night, then I wasn't sick anymore.  You don't really think to eat when you are nauseous (pre-pg), though.
  • w/ #1 i had sore bewbs from the day i conceived. in fact, i was so sure i was pg that i took a test and it was neg but i still new i was (and was obviously right). i got m/s around 4-5 weeks

w/ #2 i was really, realy fatigued and tired for about 4 weeks before i knew i was pg. i found out at 8 weeks (i had just had my d&c and never had my cycle again so i really had no idea i was pg) and started getting m/s about 2 weeks after that. i was sick for about 6 weeks.

  • I was about 6 weeks (guessing because I didn't get BFP until 9 weeks) but this was only my boobs being sore and certain things that didn't make me sick before (drinking a bloody mary or smoking a cigarette) made me sick.  Once I took a test and actually got the + sign those all made sense. The M/S didn't started till almost 12-14 weeks for me but has been off and on the entire time.
  • for me, the sore boobs and the INTENSE sense of smell... probably about 6-8 weeks  :)

  • sore boobs and uncontrollable sobbing made me take a pg test. I was on bc when I got pg, but as soon as I quit that I had m/s until she was born. Apparently the bc hormones held off the m/s for a bit but caused the wacky emotions.

  • #1 I was very, very tired and had m/s right away.  and I thought my bbs were going to fall off.  This started right around when af was due.

#2 I was very tired and got sick if I didn't eat but that's about it.  I just "knew" though.

  • I started having symptoms right around 6 weeks. My boobs were sooo sore and I was nauseous all the time. I had no appetite the entire first trimester. I survived on ginger ale and crackers for breakfast everyday! Luckily I never threw up though.

Edit- oh yeah, I forgot about the fatigue. I was tired all the time during the first trimester. I could fall asleep anytime, anywhere!

You had bloody noses?  :(  That would seriously screw me up.  lol

  • I tested positve at 9dpo. I'm sure that it was something completely unrelated, but i was really nauseated at 3dpo (which happened to be when I had a possible implantation dip in temp, so who really knows...). I was EXHAUSTED all of the time, and crazy thirsty, and I think my boobs started getting sore pretty early.

Every day.  Not gushers or anything, but I never have blood coming from my nose unless I am with child.
